This is not your typical sushi place, but it gets the job done. You want sushi and you want it cheap, this is the place. It is self service like a cafeteria so don't expect to be waited on. The staff is nice and welcoming. Chef Jackie definitely has a following and knows the community, customers were chatting with him and seeking their regular favorites. The sushi looks amazing and presentation is great. But it is not the tastiest or freshest fare. They use a lot of spicy tuna in their rolls and everything is dressed in some sort of thick sauce. We ordered the Jessica, king crab and salmon lover rolls. My favorite of the 3 was the salmon lover and with the lemon on top, it's just zesty and clean, no sauce which is good. My husband enjoyed the king crab roll, but he's a sushi guppie so his taste buds are not as refined lol, but it was still good. Miso soup also had good flavor. Definite pro is the cost - $27 for 2 cokes, 3 rolls and miso soup. I'm coming back just for the price, and when inexpensive sushi will fill my craving and not empty out my wallet. Very interesting place..... You write down what you want, take it to the computer to enter your order, pay, get your utensils, head back to the table, wait for your food, then clean up your table. Voila, no tip needed! Ha. Prices are great! But you definitely get what you pay for. The rolls were okay. Both of my rolls had shrimp tempura and that shrimp tempura was not fresh at all. It was super soggy. It had definitely been made earlier and was just sitting waiting to be rolled. I got a deep fried roll and the batter around the rice was too thick and lacked a good crunchiness. The best part of my meal was the miso soup ($1). It was rich and flavorful, BUT, the seaweed in the soup was also not fresh. It tasted old. The guys that worked here were really nice! Aloha sushi is open until midnight which is great. I had the spicy shrimp roll and the baked salmon roll I also had one with cilantro I forgot the name however it was the business. It took us about 15 minutes to wait for food which I thought was pretty fast. The staff is friendly and the restaurant seem very clean. Different concept with the self serve style of restaurant. The ordering can get kind of confusing if you don't take your time. On our visit on a Friday afternoon it was quite busy. The sushi was good and there was a wide selection of hand rolls and cut rolls. Only down side, there was a big group party and only one chef working on the sushi that day. So all there orders needed to be fulfilled before everyone else's. We waited a good 20-30 minutes before our entire order was received and another couple ended up just leaving because they were waiting too long. Sushi was 4/5. Service 2/5 on that day. May give it another trip, but probably not in the near future. read more

The Chicken teriyaki was pretty good. A bit salty at first ,But when you reached towards the rise it blended perfectly. Would 100% come here again every time I come home. The theatrics of the baked salmon roll are enough to get it every time. It's in a small parking lot that you might almost miss if you don't already know where it is. We love this place!!! It shouldn't have taken me so long to leave a review. First of all, and most importantly, the sushi is really good. The salmon is soft, the albacore has a great flavor, and they have tons of different rolls to choose from. With such great sushi, you think it'd cost more, but the rolls are half the price of other places and we think the sushi is better! Jackie is a great chef, he's so friendly and fast at making our rolls. There have been times they have given us a free roll to try something new, and one time they were packed so the waitress brought is free edamame. You don't have to tip because its self serve for ordering your rolls and getting water, ginger, and wasabi. But, I would recommend tipping Jackie once in a while cause he's awesome!! Unique ordering system where you have to sit down, look at the menu, order the food at the front register. Not bad but different. Best part is no server no tip. This adds to the experience because Aloha Sushi has great prices already on their items so when you don't need to tip, you end up saving A LOT of money. I go here with my girlfriend for dinner and always leave satisfied. I end up spending $25-$30 for dinner where as other sushi places it runs upwards of $50-$55 which is definitely amazing considering I could probably have two dinners at Aloha for the price of one at other places. Rolls are amazing, my favorite being the Salmon Lover. Was hesitant about eating a slice of lemon on my roll but it was amazing. So my wife and I went down to this spot last night because the place we usually go to is kinda far away. We used to go to sushi Damu but their quality isn't so great anymore. So, trying to find a good local spot is important. We didn't know much about this place other then that it got positive reviews. The only downside about this place is that they don't sell beer or sake. I love having an ice cold beer or sake with my sushi. So this place is very unique in that you look at the menu, write down on a piece of paper what you want to order, go to a computer, input your order and pay with a credit or debit card (cash payment isn't allowed). Then you get your drinks, you get your chopsticks from a table, along with your wasabi/soy sauce and ginger, and wait for your food. They bring out your food and after eating you "bus" your own table by putting all your dishes into a plastic box. Some people might not be into this, but they have a sign saying no tipping because they don't really serve you, and I don't mind because there were only two ppl working that night. I rather like the logic of this setup, as I don't really need all that fake waiter who just wants a huge tip and looks down on you if you don't order enough. So as for the food, let me say, this was delicious, the portions were generous, the fish was fresh, the rice was good, and everything was well-balanced. Sometimes when you order a roll with eel sauce, you get a roll that's drowned in eel sauce, but this place put just the right amount of eel sauce on their rolls. And the prices are really affordable, especially for how huge the rolls are. It was a really low-key chill place, with very nice people, and I loved how relaxing it was to eat there. This has been our go to sushi spot for years now! We love the staff here and even through this crazy pandemic we love to support their restaurant. They are so nice and every time I come in they are asking about my family and when they see my kids they remember their names and seem genuinely happy to get to know us. The waitress wrote my daughter's name in Japanese one time and my daughter ran to her room to put it on her door as soon as we got home. The food tastes great.
