My other half and i ordered the Tiger Maki, Dragon Maki, with a Tempura roll and a Spicy Ahi roll. Service was fast and the food was amazing, and so fresh! Will definitely be coming back again.

Had an hour to spare before a flight and researched sushi near the airport. Great find. The sushi is delicious. The person who took our order was so nice. The sushi arrived quickly and was super fresh. I will be back! Thanks Aloha Sushi!

What a nice find this place was! We were catching a flight back to the mainland and had about three hours to kill. We wanted to try one last restaurant before heading to the airport. I figured we'd just drive around not far from the airport and found this industrial park-like setting with several restaurants. There were a lot of people inside Aloha Sushi compared to the other places; so we decided to eat there. The place is small with about three or four bar stools at a bar counter near the front window. This is mostly a take-out place, but don't let that fool you. This place packs them in for good reason. I ordered an Unagi Roll and Inari. Chris ordered a Dragon Maki. The owner takes the orders and his employees does the rest. It's like a well oiled machine. He shouts out the orders to the employees in back through a Japanese Noren curtain and in minutes your order is ready. After our orders were ready, we decided to eat them in the car. I was surprised at the size of my Unagi roll. It was bigger than I expected and delicious too. It had a nice sweetened soy flavor. My Inari was the best. I loved the flavor of the fried bean curd pockets. It was sweet and savory with a touch of vinegar from the sushi rice. My wife loved her Dragon Maki. I tried it and it was very good. The filling was creamy in texture with a hint of crab flavor. It had a little crunch from the vegetable! This place puts out quality food! They developed a following and the constant lines are proof. You can always tell a good place by the patronage; so check them out! Mahalo!

    Spicy Ahi Donburi

This place continues to be the hidden gem you never knew existed and wish you knew about sooner. Within this Aloha Sushi exists one of the best spicy ahi bowls i have ever tasted. The spicy ahi donburi's creaminess is accompanied by tobiko, a nice amount of avocado, and deliciously fresh cucumber. The spicy sauce is not too spicy and not too bland, perfectly delicious. It also comes with a nice comforting bowl of miso soup to balance the spiciness. While eating inside is nice, it's in an industrial area so there's not too many places to sit. I prefer to get takeout. The workers are always extremely courteous and friendly and have never had a problem with any of my orders. For twelve years I've been coming to this shop to get the spicy ahi donburi and the only time IM disappointed is when my bowl is empty. They get plenty parking in the front. Do yourselves a favor and order yourselves a spicy ahi donburi from Aloha Sushi.

Always fresh. Always friendly service. Sushi platters are a favorite at family get togethers.

One of my favorite place to go for sushi. A short wait for my order in air-conditioned space. Got my usual (Kanpyo maki) and tried something new (King Kong Maki). Never disappointed with the Kanpyo Maki...always good. The King Kong maki has crab, cucumber, inari skin, avocado, shinko and furikake. It was good and would order it again. Although, I was try to order something different instead of the same thing . The Superman maki was for my husband since it is too hot for me so I can say anything about it except this is his usual order and likes it.

    Salmon Roll

The service is awesome. I was greeted with kindness. My order was taken at my pace. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful. The sushi, so good. I got the dynamite maki and the salmon roll. Both were delicious.

This place is awesome! The food is super fresh and tastes good. My favorite thing to eat here is the Love bento. It comes with a variety of sushi at a great price. The service here is super friendly and super fast as well. I work nearby so I come here often and I haven't been disappointed once. I recommend checking it out

    Dynamite & Superman roll

Very friendly owners & very tasty sushi! Not too far of a walk from the airport, perfect for our short layover. We had the dynamite & superman roll & taro! Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this store! While here for work for 2 weeks our entire group came at least 10 times (not joking) it became apart of our routine since it was located so close to the hotel and airport. Prices were amazing, food was perfect everytime, the staff there was so kind and personable, and absolutely loved their faith shown through the music and restaurant decor. Will absolutely bring others the next trip to Hawaii! 10/10

Side note, it could be a little hard to hear each other since tables are placed pretty close to each other. We started with the roasted eggplant and grilled sweet corn, and both were great appetizers. I feel like you can't go wrong with anything that's grilled/roasted haha. We got the soft shell crab pasta, which had lots of crab flavor and meat mixed in--perfect for seafood/crab lovers. The pasta portion is definitely generous for one person and can be quite filling. The fried whole moi was spectacular, fried perfectly and the fish itself was delicious. The house fried rice was also perfect, with lots of seafood flavor. The beef carpaccio came a little later than expected, which was a bit of a miss for me. The beef was sliced so thin that you could barely get any texture from it, and with the Thai chili/herb mix, I think the American/Italian-style preparation is more for me. The beef was also uncut, so we had to slice each piece ourselves, which was a bit unusual, but it was fine. We shared everything between the two of us and were very full and satisfied with the food and flavors! Service was friendly, attentive, and just overall very pleasant to interact with. Lastly, we'd say the price point is a good value for what you're getting in terms of taste, portions, and quality. If you're thinking of trying here, just do it! We will be back for sure!

I recommend reservations because they are pretty trendy.

The menu has changed to a more tapa style. We went with our two young children & they were very accommodating. We ordered a bunch of stuff but most notable was the Ensalada Salad, Croquette Cordero, Taco Raisu, Karaage Pollo, and for dessert, the Piña Borracha. We ordered some pork and steak skewers. These were ok, I would skip these next time. A little burnt. My favorite was the Ensalada Salad. The crab was sweet and the salsa opaca was so refreshing with the apple foam. Was told to smash the crisp on top and combine it with everything and that took it to another level! So good that we ordered another one. The price of this was so affordable too! The Croquette Cordero was like a mini curry ball with chimuchirri sauce. A little heavy but if you love curry, this is for you! The Taco Raisu surprised us. The taco meat was so flavorful!! Even though we were stuffed, we kept going back for more. It's like a deconstructed taco & you use the lettuce as a wrap. The Karaage Pollo came with a Cucumber Escabeche. It was so tangy and refreshing, which perfectly cuts through the rich, savory oiliness of the fried chicken. We got the Piña Borracha for dessert and that had a coconut cake, coconut lime mousse, banana lilikoi curd, and pasted pineapple on top. Amazing!! Great way to end the night. Everything was top notch. You can tell they put a lot of effort into each dish. Can't wait to go back!

The picarones is like a peruvian andagi, which was pretty cool. The miso cream brûlée was from the prior menu, but also a Yes. Location: Kitchen Deja Vu is located inside the Blue Tropix Bar & Grill, which just so happens to be right across the Chili's from Pearlridge Center. Parking: Plenty! You can park anywhere in the Pearlridge Center parking lot Food: We ordered 5 items 1) pan fried pork cheese buns: 10/10 - pillowy soft bread expertly soaks up all the juices from the pork filling, perfectly pan fried bottom adds a bit of crunchy texture, pork filling was seasoned well and there was a decent amount of cheese inside as well (it was giving pizza flavor vibes), supposedly "spicy" but it wasn't too bad at all so this would be good even for those with a low spice tolerance 2) pulehu style short ribs: 10/10 - incredible smoked and grilled flavor, cooked and seasoned to perfection! They're not stingy either, nice portion size and a hearty amount of meat on each short rib too 3) big shrimp potstickers: 11/10 - succulent pork & shrimp filling filled to the brim of wrapper! Very on brand because these buggahs was massive and sooo tasty! Classic potsticker taste and there's a whole shrimp in there too, paired with their shoyu vinegar (I think) sauce and wooo this one was winnnahz ‍ 4) charsui udon: 10/10 - nice & chewy udon noodles and absolutely loaded with charsui and veggies that were so wonderfully stir fried allowing them to soften just a little but remain crispy, adding another layer of texture to the dish and ensuring you get a nice little crunch in every bite! 5) kau yuk (caramelized pork belly): 10/10 - big chunks of sweet & savory pork belly, but not as sweet as the name would have you think. It's actually perfectly balanced, you can definitely taste some authentic asian spices going on in there, and the meat was nice and tender Service: 11/10 We ordered take out but you can absolutely dine in if you wanted to, plenty of booths and/or tables to choose from. But I did wanna mention that we were lucky enough to meet Charlie, the owner! Really nice guy, after we gave him our order, our server Kyle took such good care of us. Checked in on us multiple times & offered to get us some water while waiting for our food. Overall: 10/10 Food was delicious, the chefs obviously know what's good, hats off to them! First time trying this place out and it didn't disappoint and love that you can also order directly from your phone through all major food delivery apps or you can even text your order in, how convenient!

Overall, what had been something we'd been looking forward to for years turned out to be a dismal disappointment. The experience left us feeling unwelcome, particularly because it seemed the staff were uncomfortable with two men simply going out for lunch. Being a Black and Asian couple shouldn't have any bearing on how paying customers are treated, but unfortunately, that's how the experience felt to us. We can overlook mediocre food or service, but feeling judged or unwelcome is something we won't overlook. Unfortunately, this is a place we won't be returning to, and based on our experience, we would not recommend it to others.

It was loud in there but not too distracting, more so like friends gathering together and having a great time. (4/5) Food: Was really excited to try this asian fusion menu as the Dan Mien Vietnam-Atriciana with lap xuong caught my eye but truthfully - it was underwhelming. The Hokkaido milk rolls were also disappointing which was a bummer since everyone seemed to rave about them. They weren't warm at all and didn't seem fresh, which seemed to be the trend for the other dishes as well since they weren't served hot and pretty much room temperature at best. (2/5) Service: This is where I would give it a 0/5 stars if I could. I've never been to a restaurant where customers aren't greeted as soon as they walk in or at least within 5 minutes of walking into the restaurant. We arrived 15mins early to our reservation and upon stepping in immediately noticed no host stand/designated area to check-in (granted the restaurant itself was pretty small inside so understandable) we therefore waited off to the side. Countless waitresses walked by and even the bartenders noticed us waiting off to the side yet we weren't acknowledged. Not even a quick "we'll be right with you or welcome in". After standing there huddled off to the side we decided to maybe walk further into the restaurant to see if we had to check-in somewhere else and ran into someone that seemed to be the host. She asked if she could help us and we said we hadn't been checked-in yet for our reservation. After getting our info she quickly told us to go back to the front of the restaurant. No indication of how much longer we had to wait, no okay you're all checked-in we'll get your table set up now...just "okay go back and wait in the front". Over the next 10 minutes of waiting in the front of the restaurant we were met with whispers and stares from the employees giving us the feeling of being the new student on the first day of school which left us uncomfortable to the point where we decided to wait outside. Eventually she took us to our table but you could tell she was standoffish the whole time as if we had done something wrong. Our waiter was nice but not that personable and throughout the meal we were probably checked on once or twice at most. Overall: A restaurant is only as good as its service. To me, great food brings customers in but great service brings them back and unfortunately I will not be back.

I asked if the chef was SE Asian and he said yes and I said then he may know. Papaya salad did not come out Lao style and there wasn't follow up regarding my request. Even so, I still enjoyed my time. I think they are a cool place to try innovative and yummy dishes. It has an upscale ambience and when I went, it was all old people. Not sure if it's always like that. They seem to have a lot of events and I'd like to go to try them out! I will be returning.

Chef Chai has been one of our family's go-to restaurants for celebrations over the years, so hearing they brought back some favorites and added new menu items was the perfect excuse to return. We started with the tiki whiskey cocktail and took advantage of the happy hour menu. The Oxtail Ramen was just as comforting as I remembered, the Hurricane Fries disappeared almost immediately, and the Spicy 1-800 Hotline Wings definitely lived up to their name. For dinner, the Hamachi Crudo was incredibly fresh, and the Scallop Pot Pie was rich, flaky, and one of my favorite dishes of the night. I also loved the crispy fish prepared Thai style, while the wok-fried jumbo black shrimp had great flavor and were perfectly cooked. The Green Thai Curry was a pleasant surprise--it's the kind of dish I'd happily order again or even take home. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere still makes Chef Chai feel like the perfect place for a date night or special occasion. It's always nice to try new restaurants, but coming back here reminded me why Chef Chai has remained one of Honolulu's classics for so many years.
