This place is a gem. Food is excellent and super fresh. Fun rolls and great very full hand rolls. The rice ratio was perfectly balanced since some places make their rolls full of rice. We ordered to go, and it took about 20 Minutes which was pretty good considering the amount of food we ordered. The owners are super nice and personable, they are so kind and we loved their recommendations on the rolls. I am feeding 3 growing boys with large appetites who aren't eating a few pieces, these boys are eating as if this is their last meal. So for 5 people we spent exactly $102.00 Feeling really good about. Everything was packaged neatly and put in the bag nice and tight. 5 large hand rolls 5 rolls with 10-12 pieces for each roll. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small decorated fun and with lots of photos and descriptions of the sushi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is only a few places to sit in here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place continues to be the hidden gem you never knew existed and wish you knew about sooner. Within this Aloha Sushi exists one of the best spicy ahi bowls i have ever tasted. The spicy ahi donburi's creaminess is accompanied by tobiko, a nice amount of avocado, and deliciously fresh cucumber. The spicy sauce is not too spicy and not too bland, perfectly delicious. It also comes with a nice comforting bowl of miso soup to balance the spiciness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While eating inside is nice, it's in an industrial area so there's not too many places to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I prefer to get takeout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The workers are always extremely courteous and friendly and have never had a problem with any of my orders. For twelve years I've been coming to this shop to get the spicy ahi donburi and the only time IM disappointed is when my bowl is empty. They get plenty parking in the front. Do yourselves a favor and order yourselves a spicy ahi donburi from Aloha Sushi.

What a nice find this place was! We were catching a flight back to the mainland and had about three hours to kill. We wanted to try one last restaurant before heading to the airport. I figured we'd just drive around not far from the airport and found this industrial park-like setting with several restaurants. There were a lot of people inside Aloha Sushi compared to the other places; so we decided to eat there. The place is small with about three or four bar stools at a bar counter near the front window. This is mostly a take-out place, but don't let that fool you. This place packs them in for good reason. I ordered an Unagi Roll and Inari. Chris ordered a Dragon Maki. The owner takes the orders and his employees does the rest. It's like a well oiled machine. He shouts out the orders to the employees in back through a Japanese Noren curtain and in minutes your order is ready. After our orders were ready, we decided to eat them in the car. I was surprised at the size of my Unagi roll. It was bigger than I expected and delicious too. It had a nice sweetened soy flavor. My Inari was the best. I loved the flavor of the fried bean curd pockets. It was sweet and savory with a touch of vinegar from the sushi rice. My wife loved her Dragon Maki. I tried it and it was very good. The filling was creamy in texture with a hint of crab flavor. It had a little crunch from the vegetable! This place puts out quality food! They developed a following and the constant lines are proof. You can always tell a good place by the patronage; so check them out! Mahalo!

One of my favorite place to go for sushi. A short wait for my order in air-conditioned space. Got my usual (Kanpyo maki) and tried something new (King Kong Maki). Never disappointed with the Kanpyo Maki...always good. The King Kong maki has crab, cucumber, inari skin, avocado, shinko and furikake. It was good and would order it again. Although, I was try to order something different instead of the same thing . The Superman maki was for my husband since it is too hot for me so I can say anything about it except this is his usual order and likes it.

Very friendly owners & very tasty sushi! Not too far of a walk from the airport, perfect for our short layover. We had the dynamite & superman roll & taro! Highly recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Tiny sushi spot near the airport in the Nimitz shopping center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered online via DoorDash and walked over from my hotel. My order was ready on time and was fresh. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and brought my food out to me once it was ready. The spicy tuna bento was filling and with two hand rolls, my mom and I were stuffed. The spicy tuna was nice, didn't taste overly fishy and the sauce was good. I really liked the kimchi spam hand roll! Very different from what I'm used to. My mom loved the salmon and cream cheese hand roll too. For the price, it was worth it and tasted great. read more

Absolutely loved this store! While here for work for 2 weeks our entire group came at least 10 times (not joking) it became apart of our routine since it was located so close to the hotel and airport. Prices were amazing, food was perfect everytime, the staff there was so kind and personable, and absolutely loved their faith shown through the music and restaurant decor. I had never been here before but found it on Yelp. It was a short drive from the hotel we were staying at and had good reviews. I ordered from the Yelp app and it was automatically charged to my DoorDash account. We arrived and the gentleman who greeted us was super friendly with a great sense of humor. Haven't been to this Aloha Sushi Nimitz for a long time . I always use to come here when I worked for Alamo rental car years ago. The owner is very friendly and always fresh product. I like their hand roll because you don't have to wrap it yourself like the other places. Sometimes when your hungry you just want to put it in your mouth. Not having to unwrapped the Nori than roll it yourself too much work LOL! Support local and be safe read more

My partner and I had stopped by The little strip mall that Aloha Sushi is in because of the variety of food options there are to choose from. However, both of us decided on some sushi. We went walked in and their menu is HUGE! So much to choose from and we were HUNGRY, which is not a good combination haha. Let's just say I ordered quite a bit and ate it all too Lol. The cashier was very friendly and was chuckling as I was ordering and ordering and ordering. My total came out to around $50 but I had two natto hand rolls, a spicy ahi hand roll, a tempura maki, shrimp shumai, and ahi poke. Unfortunately I hadn't gotten a picture of everything because we are as soon as we got our food. If you're in the airport area and are craving some quick sushi I highly recommend checking this place out. Lots of parking too(and it's free). read more

This is my favorite sushi spot on the island! I've been eating sushi here since I was a kid because my mom liked it. Their spicy sauce is unique and tastes really good with actual heat! I love their poké (regular and spicy are both good) and I love anything with their spicy sauce on it. This small business is family owned and full of love and kindness. It's not a place with a full staff so there will be waiting times especially if busy, but it is worth the wait! I suggest placing a phone order after looking at the menu here if you are against waiting in store. Please stop by, support local, and eat delicious food! read more

We finished the Great Aloha Run and my sister wanted a poke bowl. This location was close by and there was lots of free parking. The first thing I noticed was all the pictures of menu items. Lots to choose from and I like the variety of sushi they offered. My sister ordered the spicy ahi bowl and the cashier double checked that she's okay with SPICY because indeed it was! I ordered the regular lunch bento and it was so fresh and tasty. I liked the limu poke over salad greens! The cone sushi rice was warm so I know it wasn't sitting. They were also generous with the sliced ginger. I enjoyed their decoration, lots of love. You can feel that vibe in their great customer service. We are visiting from NY and this spot did not disappoint. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. The flavor was on point!! Excellent food and service! Welcoming atmosphere! Highly recommend this sushi spot. There is free parking available and also close by the airport! We had the Superman Maki, Dynamite Maki and the Spicy Ahi Donburi. On the way to the airport and had plenty of time. Found this gem of a hole in the wall located in an industrial park strip center. Was a little leery of the guys begging and hanging out in front of the liquor store neighbor. Glad I still went into Aloha Sushi. Very friendly counter person and excellent sushi. No frills and pick up to eat in your car and listen to some tunes. Prices were very reasonable for the quality fish. read more

Ordered through the Yelp app while I was waiting to pick someone up at the airport. Placed my order and was able to pick it up in about 10 minutes. Great sushi rolls I got a futomaki, salmon roll and a soft shell crab roll. Service people really were really sweet and food was really good. In a very nondescript industrial kind of strip mall about a mile from the airport. Super convenient and I highly recommend. read more

Perfect sushi! This little packs has all the pi pictures that a yelper could want to see what they are trying to purchase. So Tuesday was actually my birthday and I told one of my coworkers and off we went to Aloha sushi at my request of course. I really really really really have wanted to try this place every since I saw the yelp review and the vicinity to my work. Since I knew we were going to be visiting this place I looked ahead at what different tempers were talking about. I landed on the dragon roll and the volcano roll! The dragon roll was just ok, a little to much mayo:( The volcano roll was delicious!!! I mean delicious! I will most likely go back and get two of those kinds of rolls! They definitely get 4 stars from me!!! It's in a plaza and parking is a little tight, and I am sure that this space gets tight during the lunch rush. To be honest it's really not much a of a sit down and eat place, I mean you can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Just take your sushi back somewhere to sit and really enjoy it! We were so full we had to take the Mango rice pudding dessert home with us which we haven't eaten yet so can't comment on it but I have no doubt it's great. I love that it served on a bed of crispy one ton pis and drizzled with unagi sauce that enhances the entire flavor. Great location, near the Arizona Memorial. Lots of free parking and the view overlooking the harbor is so relaxing. Service has always been fast and helpful. While you're there try their Cocojito. The refreshing flavors of coconut and mint will have you wanting more. Nice place to spend any time.

We had a great family dinner at Hula Grill Waikiki. The food was excellent from start to finish…read more The guava chicken was tender and packed with flavor, the New York strip was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp appetizer was a great way to start the meal. The shrimp pasta carbonara was rich, creamy, and loaded with shrimp. The atmosphere was relaxed with beautiful island vibes, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice dinner with family or just want to enjoy good Hawaiian-inspired food in Waikiki. We'd definitely come back the next time we're on Oahu!

Wow! I've had some pretty good spicy ahi poke from ono seafood and i think i found another place that makes pretty good spicy ahi poke. The spicy ahi poke at aloha sushi is just as good as ono seafood. The location is good with plenty of parking. I ordered the half pound spicy ahi poke and the superman maki. The spicy ahi poke was fresh, nice heat and so delicious. The superman maki had alot of spicy ahi on top of the rice and it was also delicious. The service was friendly and fast with plenty of fresh spicy ahi. Price is very good for the quality. Will be returning again. read more

This aloha sushi on nimitz has the best spicy ahi poke on the island.! The owner Wendell service was friendly and super helpful. If you don't know what to order, Wendell will recommend most of the popular items to get and they're worth it. The ambiance is really close to the airport so nothing special but just come for the fresh sushi and spicy ahi poke. IMO it tastes way better than foodland because they're not so much mayonaise, mostly hot sauce with red chili flakes so ONO! I'll be back for more spicy ahi poke. read more

This was my first meal in Hawaii. I had a Poke bowl and it was very tasty. It happened to be conveniently located close to the hotel i was staying at. I have had Poke bowls before and this one was as good as any i have had before. I will definitely return to try some of the other menu items as i enjoy sushi. I lived in Japan for 3 years and I'm quite picky. The fish in the Poke bowl was quite fresh so it's safe to assume their Sushi will be as tasty. Good service as well. Bwahhh!!! Shayna Eliott is a bully who writes bad reviews just to hurt business and for them to be closed down. Anyways this place is hands down the best sushi on the island. There is ample parking and the customer service is the best i've ever had. I ordered one superman maki and half pound spicy ahi poke. Spicy ahi poke was fresh, not too creamy/mayonaise and great amount of spicyness. Superman maki was great and the rice was soft and great sushi flavored vinegar. I recommend this place to everyone. read more

Aloha sushi is one of my favorite japanese restaurants on the island. First of all! i love this location because there is plenty of parking. I asked the cashier if the dynamite maki had spicy ahi and she said no only the superman maki or you can get the spicy ahi maki which is cheaper. I ordered the spicy ahi maki and wow generous portions of ahi and it tasted fresh, nice heat and so delicious. The service was helpful and very friendly. I can't wait to return to try more on the menu. read more

Wow! This is hands down the best japanese food i've ever eaten at. The location is excellent with great ample parking. I ordered the spicy ahi poke and spicy ahi maki. The spicy ahi poke and the spicy ahi maki were both so flavorful, fresh and delicious with generous amounts of ahi covered in spicy sauce. The service was really fast. And the price for the sushi was reasonable for quality and generous portions. I will come back again. read more

I'm writing this as i finish my rolls. So so so so good! My husband and i were craving sushi and are so happy that we came here. Such a cute place with phenomenal and caring service. The man was very helpful and patient with helping us find new rolls to try and helped us find new rolls to try and helped us customize them to our liking ) thank you so much). This place is ono and fresh and i highly recommend this place to everyone! The parking is good and it's not overcrowded. I ordered two kimchi spam rolls, 2 ahi rolls and two tuna handrolls no mayo. My tuna rolls were canned tuna but still good. My kimchi spam rolls had fresh kim chi and cooked spam which were good. My ahi rolls with wasabi was delicious and tasty. I felt very welcomed and didn't feel rushed! read more

Man at the counter screws up my first order for pick up. On a second visit, he asked to see my phone - which he didn't do the first time and is very inconvenient!! He is a very I'll tempered individual/owner, wanted to get I. My face and fight. Two ladies in the back/sushi makers, had to come out to hold him back. NASTY NASTY MAN! Learn some manners, better customer service - then maybe you'll have business! read more

It's also packed with really good spice & less mayo compared to many places i've been for example ono seafood. The location has parking and the workers made me feel welcomed and so friendly. This is my first time coming here & i will be coming back. The location is very good with parking. I ordered the ahi combo bento $11.99, spicy ahi combo bento $11.99 and the unagi combo bento $11.99. Everything was very good and the ahi unagi was fresh and melt in your mouth. Very good spicy flavor and well balanced with not too much mayo. Service was friendly and efficient. read more

I don't usually do reviews but I want everyone to know that I have been going to Aloha Sushi for about 4 years now and I have never seen the owner or the lady in the back yell at anyone or even seen them treating someone badly. Hands down! the best sushi on the island. First of all the location is great with great ample parking next to subway. The sushi is very pricey so i only ordered 1 item. I ordered the spicy ahi poke bento and it was so delicious with great heat, flavor and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Can't wait to be back. read more

This place is very generous when it comes to spicy ahi. They give so much compared to the other aloha sushi it's awesome. The location also has a plenty of parking so i can just call in my order and walk in. Service was very patient and friendly that i will go back just to get the spicy ahi or spicy ahi poke. read more
