Cozy, clean and friendly atmosphere. We were greeted and seated upon arrival and ordered a few minutes later. We both ordered the crispy seafood noodle. Our food came out very quickly and it was very delicious. Lots of ingredients like shrimp and fish in a tasty broth in the bed of noodles. Very satisfying!!! Water was refilled and service was great. Highly recommend!

First time here and it was great. Wife was craving ramen and curry. Literally down the road from where we were. Pretty good amount of selections and this place reminds me a lot of sumo ramen. If you like sumo ramen then this is the place for you. The curry and ramen tastes the same. Service and fast and food was served right away.

Friendly service and prices are affordable. Clean and efficient. I like their curry more than their ramen. We got mini spam curry and mini mochiko curry. Spam katsu was thick and crispy! Mochiko chicken was also crispy and flavorful! Good for cooler weather.

Unbelievable little gem. Family owned. No frills. Hearty and savory food. Prices are on the more affordable side. Vegetarian? Vegan? They can adjust and provide you with something hearty. Just ask the question. We go here weekly to get our curry fix in. They have two sizes so you can adjust accordingly - mini or regular. Parking - free. Absolutely no gripes, this is hands down my comfort food spot.

Walked in and we were greeted right away by a woman working at the front counter who told us we could pick a table. Once we sat down she came over right away with waters and menus. We ordered, Kim Chee fried rice, 2 katsu ramens, and a combo vegetable ramen with fried rice and gyoza. I don't eat pork and when I mentioned this to our sever she was immediately accommodating and said they could make the fried rice without it. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. They have excellent combination options and the prices are reasonable. For katsu, ramen, fried rice, etc, this is a solid option in Salt Lake and we will definitely be back. Overall: excellent service, delicious food, clean dining room, and good prices.

Quick stop for dinner. First time trying this place and won't be our last. Service is great. Menus and water came out fast. The server was pleasant and helpful with our questions. I ordered the spicy garlic chicken wings with curry. First the curry...was piping hot and included carrots and onions. Was on the sweeter side compared to typical Japanese curry. The wings...wow. Crunchy, garlicky, spicy...Ono goodness. I could eat a dozen. Swing by and support these local small businesses.

I ordered shrimp tempura curry! Its really delicious. Its quiet for a Saturday. The restaurant plays chill local music which makes the ambiance relaxing.

Not really a ramen person unless its really good-- and this garlic tonkatsu ramen is realllly good! no wonder people drive here ... tasty- reasonably priced- good portions- friendly service- and they open at 9:30 am - great for me after being cold after an ocean swim!! Gyoza is good too- I drank all the broth which I hardly do-

Always so ono, been here a few times since they moved into the shopping center near where I live. The food is always so good! Just wish had a little more curry when you order take out. The service is fast and friendly, place is clean unless they get slammed and no help to buss tables...lol!

Stopped in here by chance as we were hungry and in the area. Not many people dining in but a consistent flow of take out orders and/or pick ups while we dined in. Very pleased with the welcoming vibe from the two workers up front and super quick service to not only order but to get our food. I was also very happy to see the workers actively cleaning around the restaurant, you hardly see that nowadays other than bussing tables. Food was delicious and affordably priced and not sure what they put in their kimchi or if I was really hungry but it was extra tasty. I don't normally frequent the area but would eat here again.

The sauce to dip the noodles in was good. It was flavorful, salty, and sweet. My wife had a bowl of ramen. I got to try the soup and it tasted really good. I also like how thick it was. I don't like thin soup on my ramen, so this I really liked. My daughter was gulping down her noodles... just shoving it into her mouth. That is a huge thing for me because she's picky with food. We also had the potato mochi. I also liked that one. It had good texture, crunch, and chew. It was brushed with a glaze. The flavor was good. I'm not a chicken karaage guy. But I'm mentioning it because we ordered it. The chicken karaage were good chunks of chicken. Not like other places who give small chunks. My wife liked it because it had more chicken than batter. Service - The Place had good service. The food came out on time. Servers were checking up on us without hovering or being overbearing. They paid attention when we called asking for help. I was listening to the workers, and they seem to like being there. I mean, "work is work", and no one REALLY LIKES going to work. I'm pretty sure we'd all rather be someplace else besides work. Maybe I caught them in a good mood, but, it genuinely seemed like the moral in the place was good and the people working there that night didn't mind being there. Vibe - Small, family vibe. I liked that there was buzz but it wasn't loud. When we came, most of the people there were older, but as we left later in the evening, a more younger crowd started lining up and coming in. That tells me, they appeal to a wide demographic/pallet, which is good. Overall, it's going on the list of places to go back to and recommend. I don't really like going to ramen places during the summer because it's hot. But I would go here.

The quality of the food has been consistent. It's a bit warm inside, but you'll find some good table areas that are cooler. I was disappointed by the service today, especially because there was less people between 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM when I went. The staff had automatically thrown in green onions and tempura flakes, which was not requested. They were just throwing in things without the usual ask they do. Especially, this hurt most when there was a rude lady staff passing out toppings. My family member had kindly requested for green onions a few times, and mind you again, we did not have a line when we entered in, but this lady snickered and ignored her request. I had to sternly request for green onions which eventually happened. The service should not be this way. This is an amazing restaurant, but the experience was utterly ruined from that service experience.

They are currently exploring a new concept, which is a bit different from what it used to be. There's quite a bit of items missing from their old menu, but they have included new dishes to try. I got their Beefy Gold which has a lighter broth. I also ordered a side of yuzu peel & juice, reminiscent of the yuzu shio ramen. I'd say that the broth is pretty good (light broth is gentle to the stomach), and the noodles were cooked well. You'll probably miss the fatty chunk of charsiu, but they now have pulled beef charsiu instead which is stringy and just as flavorful :) Service was friendly as always and they were very attentive to our needs. Ambiance is a bit more upscale than their previous Ward location, and definitely larger. Will come back again to try their Otoko-Meshi items, overall just glad that they're back!

The open kitchen concept is nice, the restaurant feels much larger, and overall the new location is more inviting than the old one. Unfortunately, the food and menu changes were a big disappointment for me. The old location had a much larger menu with plenty of ramen options, while the new menu is limited to just three choices. The ramen itself doesn't taste the same, and even the noodles seem different. The biggest letdown was the chashu--it used to be served as a whole slice of pork, but now it's more of a shredded meat style that lacks the same appeal and texture. Adding to that, the new location currently doesn't have a liquor license, which takes away part of the dining experience. While the new space is beautiful, I left missing the food and variety that made Kamitoku one of my favorite ramen spots. Hopefully they'll bring back more of what made the original location special.

Overall, what had been something we'd been looking forward to for years turned out to be a dismal disappointment. The experience left us feeling unwelcome, particularly because it seemed the staff were uncomfortable with two men simply going out for lunch. Being a Black and Asian couple shouldn't have any bearing on how paying customers are treated, but unfortunately, that's how the experience felt to us. We can overlook mediocre food or service, but feeling judged or unwelcome is something we won't overlook. We were there as paying customers and deserved to be treated with the same courtesy and respect as anyone else. Unfortunately, this is a place we won't be returning to, and based on our experience, we would not recommend it to others.
