We picked up a take out order from here for the prime rib loco moco with fried rice. The rice itself was super flavorful and had adobo in it, which was a nice surprise. I thought the prime rib would be the star of the show, but honestly it was super tough and extremely salty. A cute little hole in the wall across Pearlridge shopping center! Me and my husband went around 9am on a Friday so there was no wait at all. Granted, most people are working so I didn't expect it to be too busy. From reading reviews, it seems like it gets pretty hectic on the weekends. As a Filipina, I will always have a weakness for adobo fried rice and longanisa. My husband ordered the corned beef hash and devoured the whole thing so I couldn't take a picture. I have to say that the portion size is MASSIVE! This omelette was about the length of my forearm and I honestly expected probably half the size for the price. There was also a generous amount of pork throughout the rice and it was seasoned well without being overly salty. The longanisa was also juicy and had a nice char. The service was also friendly, quick, and efficient. She gave me a box right before I was about to ask so she anticipated our needs really well. She checked on us often so we were well taken care of. The waffle, in the chicken and waffle, is an actual yeast waffle. Chewy, dense, bready on the inside, extremely crisp on the outside. Plenty moist on its own but has the ability to really suck up the butter and syrup making it that much better. The chicken for the pairing, genius! A skin on thigh with most of the meat removed fried crisp. What remains of the meat turns to jerky but the beautifully seasoned skin, heaven. It mimics crispy bacon. Side note, just hope this is only done for the chicken and waffle. I wouldn't accept this in the fried chicken plate. Fresh corned beef in the corned beef hash in a 60/40 ratio of corned beef to potato. Crisp on the outside, tender and not greasy on the inside. It works as part of the Jessica loco moco (one burger with just the right amount of filler and one corned beef patty w/ two eggs on rice with scratch made rich brown gravy). Very large servings. Props to the single server who was able to keep the entire front of house running smoothly and with a smile. Looking forward to trying some Filipino breakfast offerings on a future visit. While $25-$30 per dish for breakfast isn't "cheap eats", the quality fully justifies it. One of the best breakfast spots on this side of the island. read more

How have I never been here before? Decent location with plenty of parking. Upon walking inside it's clean with plenty of seating. We were greeted and sat right away! We got water and coffee which our waitress continuously topped off. I ordered the Jessica Moco (recommended) but because I'm gluten free the burger patty uses breadcrumbs so I got all corned beef instead (made in house)! I'm not usually a fan of corned beef, but this one was really good. Some loco moco's have too much gravy and are overly salted but this one was perfect. Huge portions and everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. My mom had an omelette which was also huge and she enjoyed it. It was loaded with veggies and cheese, and a big side of hashbrowns! Hidden gem alert!!!! If you're looking for a mom and pop spot this is it. I wanted breakfast but didn't want to wake up early. After a search on Yelp I found this spot. What drew me to them was the liver and it being 10mins away from my house. They are across from Pearl Ridge Mall. When you enter the center parking lot drive around to the back of the plaza. It is located on the second floor. You can also take the stairs or the elevator after you park if you don't go around. There is plenty parking. The windows were tinted. Which keeps the soon out and allowed for a more intimate setting. The waiter was very nice. We were greeted upon entry. You sit wherever you want. We ordered the Chicken n Waffles, side of two egg scramble with cheese, side of bacon, liver with double rice gravy, bacon on side, lumpia and corn beef hash. The waiter checked on us just enough. My Yelp Elite friend Iris T. and I planned to meet here today at 11 a.m. for lunch. We both arrived a little early, minute or so of each other and found two stalls fronting the restaurant. We talked for 4 minutes shy of 4 hours and they didn't chase us out even though we were the last people in there. Just so happened the kitchen closed down at 1 pm since every 6 months they have kitchen cleaning day and today happened to be it. We took the last booth on the right and logistics wise, we could see everyone who went to use the restroom. Only one stall for customers so it was like Grand Central Station passing us. Our young, pretty and slim server, Chloe was sweet. I had met a different friend for coffee yesterday and she told me she heard this place was expensive. Yes, definitely not the pricing of Arby's or Shiro's as comparisons. Our two meals, 2 non-alcoholic beverages plus tip rang up to $75. My oxtail saimin came with grated ginger, good. The tiny pieces of oxtail were pretty much fall off the bone. Unfortunately perhaps they forgot to add seasoning because the soup tasted like warm water. I added shoyu- didn't help. I added drops of Tabasco, still not good. I barely ate half. We both noticed the smell of the mustard cabbage topping the soup when it was first brought out to the table. My friend's beef cutlet one portion was salty but she said the first piece was fine. This place is located in the upper level of a strip mall. We went for brunch at 12pm on a Saturday and there was ample parking upstairs. When we first walked in we were greeted immediately seated. The place is extremely clean and well maintained. I noticed that they are quick to clean but also thorough to wipe down the table, condiments basket, seats and even the floor directly below the table. The menu is easy to read and with just enough options which leads me to believe that their food will be excellent. They came by quick to take our order and the food took a little time to arrive but it was well worth the wait and the quality of there! The chicken and waffles were made to perfection. The waffles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the two pieces of chicken thighs were fried to a crisp. I ordered a side of gravy which had a light consistency but delicious! Jessica's Loco Moco was really filling. They served at least 3 scoops of rice and the burger patty was a little tough, the hash was delicious, the eggs were over easy and topped with just the right amount of gravy. We asked for the Adobo fried rice but received steamed rice. Yuan's omelette was good with crispy bacon and although good overall, it was the hollandaise sauce that enhanced it overall. The hash browns were not seasoned but still tasted good mixed in with the hollandaise sauce. The Macadamia Nut pancakes were decent. The pancakes were extra fluffy but tasted a bit too floury however the Haupia sauce and macadamia nuts made it taste better. Overall, I would like to return and try some of their other dishes. The service wasn't too bad, but it was slow due to the fact that there was only one person doing everything. I felt so bad, but she did apologize and explained that her workers called out so it was only her waiting the tables and cooking. It's a local/Filipino cuisine. I ordered the Jessica Moco w/ Fried Rice ($30) and the Macadamia Nut Pancakes ($23) to share. It was decently sized, but I thought it was still a little pricey considering other restaurants have something similar but a couple dollars cheaper. However, it was pretty delicious. My favorite were the pancakes, although the sauce was a little too thick. I think it'd be great if it was smoother and thinner so it can soak into the pancakes better. The Jessica Moco was very savory and I actually think it's better with plain white rice because the meat is on the saltier side. Overall, I'd come back to try the other items. We first came to Jessica's when they opened almost a year ago. At that time there were some inconsistencies with pricing and portion size depending on what was ordered. The Business Manager (Jessica) explained they were still working on the menu and thanked me for my thoughts. Today, we had some time and decided to try them out again after seeing a really positive review on YouTube. We are so glad we went back because we loved the service, the food came out super quick, and our coffee cup was never empty. Needless to say, what we ordered was delicious and plentiful. We got the Jessica's Moco and an custom omelette with hash browns. Both were delicious and the portion sizes were good. The Omelette was delicious and the hype surrounding the "Moco" is well deserved - rich gravy covered the burger patty (and brisket corned beef hash, usually) and rice topped with perfectly cooked over easy eggs. I asked for the brisket hash to be served separately so I could taste it fully. The quality of the food was awesome and we didnt mind paying today's prices for this fabulous meal. Their menu is pretty extensive and everything sounded good but I went with the lechon kawali and upgraded to the adobo fried rice. My Husband ordered the tuna melt with waffle fries. The lechon kawali was topped with onion and tomatoes and it was accompanies with a soy/vinegar sauce. The lechon kawali was really crispy and tastey even without the sauce. The adobo fried rice was really good too. Not salty. My Husband really liked his tuna melt. I can tell he enjoys his food by his initial reaction of, "oh wow this is good." The service is awesome. The food here is good and the service is EXCELLENT! So why the three stars right? The wait time was so long that I can't explain how relieved I was that it was just my husband and I. I kept thinking, thank God we don't have small children or a large party how would we keep them occupied for 45 min? Great new asian fusion joint in Aiea! Located on the upper level of where you find Kim Chee 7 restaurant. Jessica's is nicely clean and well lit with a good amount of seating. Lot's of booths and they can accommodate big parties. Food here is great! It was our first time here and wont be our last. You cant go wrong with the filipino dishes. Nice portioned! The pork sisig came out sizzling and tasted amazing! Lechon Kawali was sooo good! Pork was nice and tender and the vinegar sauce is a plus! I had the meatloaf, which I posted! Excellent customer service! The lady that took our order was really nice and attentive; she offered to get me water and refill my coffee through our time there. I ordered the corned beef has with scrambled eggs and brown rice. The plate came with one scoop of rice, one corned beef hash patty and eggs. The rice was cooked perfectly! Not mushy and not too hard. The eggs were the consistency of egg beaters and were not seasoned at all. I'm sure this is done to meet everyone's dietary needs.. they had seasonings at the table. The corned beef hash had a weird starchy taste to it; I didn't really enjoy it. My husband ordered the garlic fried chicken with fried rice and Mac salad. The chicken was fried perfectly and the garlic sauce was absolutely delicious! He also enjoyed the Mac salad. His only complaint was his choice of the fried rice instead of plain white rice. I will advise that you double check your receipt because our total came out to $80 and when I questioned my husband why it was so high, he realized we were charged for 5 cups of coffee on top of our food and his soda; I only had one cup and didn't even finish it. New place at Pearlridge West strip mall, same floor as Chez, next door to Jackson-Hewitt. 5 or 6 comfortable booths, 4 or 5 high tops and a few single tables. Greeted with a friendly smile by the owner, seated quickly. She let us know right away the prime rib just got out of the oven & suggested the Prime rib loco moco. Seafood crab eggs Benedict was made up with a crab patty and nice pieces of shrimp. Jessica was thoughtful enough to ask how I'd like my eggs poached (soft, medium or hard). Most places don't ask. Husband had the prime rib loco moco, medium rare. Nice, juicy & thick slab of meat over rice. I upgraded my rice to the adobo fried rice. Chunks of pork adobo, super flavorful. I'll return to see what their dinner menu is all about! It is a little on the pricey side (what isn't nowadays?) so be ready for a hefty bill. $80+ for a party of 2. read more
