This restaurant IS a vibe! The small quaint atmosphere and simple live ukulele music just added to the fantastic food and service. I go every time I come to the Big Island. It is a must-do stop on my itinerary. The food is beyond compare...fresh tasty and makes you feel you are truly experiencing island cuisine.

Stopped by for a bite to eat before heading to the airport. The lunch menu had lots or things we wanted to try. We sat on the lanai and the view was perfect. It really does live up to its name. Bottom line. You can't go wrong. Great food. Great view/location. Great service. We loved this place.

First off, our server was amazing! She was so sweet, very attentive! We agreed she delivered elite service. I'm so sorry I don't know her name, but I know she created the Mother's Day cocktail!! The view is amazing. This restaurant is not pretentious at all, which is crazy since it provides spectacular outdoor seating. We were supposed to be there for sunset but had to change our plans so we were there too early for sunset. But I guarantee that's a killer view. Our drinks were great! My friend ordered the old fashioned special and he loved it. I got the special mule and that was refreshing. The food: the kalua pork plate needed more flavor. It wasn't as juicy and flavorful as I'm used to for kalua pork. We put some of the sauce from the dynamite fries on there and that was great! But still not the kalua pork plate we were looking for. The ahi tuna was a very solid dish. The ahi was very thin, I've never had it that thin, so it was a little uneven on the cook, some parts were a little too cooked, but it had great flavor! My friend had never fried ahi before and loved it. The dynamite fries with kalua pork was a home run! Wow! Those fries were DELECTABLE! I would come back just for the fries! They really really made something incredible with those. We ended up throwing our leftover kalua pork into the fries and couldn't be happier with had decision. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The views are great, the food is yummy, and the service is top notch!!

Happy hour for the Win! Dynamite fries and the edamame were Ewwwwwuge portions! Then rocked out some Poke Bowls as the main event! The sides were the baby bok choy and the shoyu garlic. All food came out hot n ready Little skeezers like...Lilikoi cider to wet the whistle. But for real the Dynamite fries are worth the squirt! Get you some local aloha.

The food and the view were exceptional. I had a Kahlúa pork sandwich with the Dyno fries, and they were amazing. Pork was juicy, and tender. Fries were crunchy and delicious.. I would highly recommend..

I ordered a quick snack to go and it was SO DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend getting food here. Not to mention the view is beautiful.

Poke. I had stared eating it. too good. You can see the ocean!

Absolutely loved my experience Aloha Vibes. The view of the ocean is so peaceful, so you expect them not to try, right? Not this place. Probably the best fish sandwich of my life and the poke was perfect. The waitress was true to the name of the place and had kind Aloha vibes. If you are lucky enough to get there for the entertainment you are in for a treat. Truly one of the best spots we visited on the island so far. Lots of true Aloha here, Aloha vibes throughout this small restaurant. Hope you get to visit. Soo cool.

Desert happy hour from 3-5pm. Mac Nut Old Fashion is amazing. Slightly sweet but I love it!!!! Lilikoi Mule is on the happy hour menu along with beers and wines. About 4-5 snacks on the happy hour menu. Nice little covered patio open to air with a view of the ocean. Great place for sunset. Service is decent. Some days are hit or miss.

Ravenous and throat parched, the pictures for The Temple drew us in. Restaurant was empty save a family of 6 sitting in the corner. To summarize the experience the food tasted as delicious as it looked. Service was spot on. Skip the barbecue chicken tacos they were overrated. Our server warned against it but we were feeling chicken. It was a mid dish. The star of the show was the Calabrese Flatbread. It was phenomenal. Really tasty, ample cheese, marinara sauce, with large chunks of sausage that were so flavorful. The potatoes we got were supposed to be island potatoes and tasted okay with lots of Chimmichuri Sauce. Ask for more on the side to dip the potatoes in. Kona beer on tap, Michelob in bottles, and some nice house drinks to round it off. Their dessert selection looked tasty, but so full that stomach was hurting after the meal. Will be back again if I'm in the area!

I love nostalgia, and the Royal Kona and Don's take me back decades, away from the heartless, sterile, expensive, modern over-the-top luxury hotels/bars in Kohala. The open air, kitchy decor complete with huge tikis and vintage island atmosphere is Frank Sinatra/Elvis Hawaii era and I LOVE it. Great happy hour deals with awesome pupus (I love the coconut shrimp and pork belly) and traditional mai-tais. We went yesterday to see Henry Kapono perform, and meet up with local kine ohana (7 total), only to get turned away from the main seating area because they were all "reserved" even though we came more than 40 mins before happy hour started, and nobody was sitting there. Bar still empty. So, we had to sit outside of the main bar area, which was disappointing. This wasn't the case last year when we saw Kapono. Sadly, that removes one star. If you have a small group and not going during a music performance, you should be able to sit in the main bar area. Get there before 4pm to get a seat and get started on the happy hour. Highly recommended.
