I had a dire situation with my car today. I was in need of a tow. I called my insurance company for roadside assistance. The tow truck driver arrived a couple of hours later. I don't blame him for the late arrival, it was the automated insurance company message that I received. Louie arrived and explained how busy he was with the previous customer. He checked my ignition and was able to drive my car onto the tow truck's flat bed. He informed me that he believes that my catalytic converter is still there. He was polite and knowledgeable. 12/11/24: 1 star review because they towed my car and damaged my new vehicle while under their possession. I needed to file a police report online and had to work with my insurance company after coming here. A quick 30min visit turned into a horrible 3hours. 1/4/2025: The supervisor told me that an employee scraped the hood of my parked car with their truck when backing up. They admitted fault - I owned a new 2023 car (no previous history of damage as its purchased new) and this company damaged it while PARKED in THEIR parking lot. It says a lot about the quality of service. They admitted fault and offered transportation reimbursement and car repair. It took 7 days to get my vehicle back to me and an additional 7days for the repair company (AutoShield Collision Center in Santa Clara) to get the last pieces to me. Alongi Bros prefer to "pay-out-of-pocket" and will not file an insurance claim. They will work with a local body shop (Collision Center/AutoShield in Santa Clara) to fix the damages caused. Luckily, they repaired my hood and the paint looks similar to my original hood and the rest of my vehicle. This is my experience with this company and my experience is that they caused damages to my vehicle. Make sure to take pictures, document everything, and file the proper police reports for your insurance. This post is to educate you of the process and my experience with Alongi Bros. read more

These guys damaged my car back in December and are taking this as long as possible to make thing right. After getting a body shop estimate for the repairs now they're claiming the damage wasn't as bad and making the processes even slower. As a mechanic myself I felt no pride in making the call for a battery service but I knew AAA would be able to help me so late at night. Matt came only a few minutes after the call and was ready to work once he got out of his truck. Matt was quick to test the battery and had a great replacement on hand. I've had a real tough two weeks after running over a parking divider and obliterating my oil pan . Working through AAA Roadside has been on the spectrum of completely unacceptable customer service to the best customer service (only thru their towing partners). This review is for Thomas and the woman (at Alongi) who called me to give me a status update and check my whereabouts when Thomas arrived. I requested a tow at 6:20am thru AAA. Every time I've requested a tow in the last two weeks dealing with this issue they've taken 60+ minutes to arrive. Today, it was way quicker and I wasn't expecting that so I was still on my way to the shop to meet the tow. Thomas arrived at 6:45 and my ETA wasn't until 7am, but the woman offered me grace (first time anyone really extended true kindness during this whole debacle) and I literally felt the sigh of relief release from my body. I thanked her. Thomas was ready for me when I arrived. He was quick. He confirmed my AAA status and said he'd take care of everything and meet me at home. I let him know we'd need to push the car into the garage. When he got to my house he situated the car so it was easy (enough) to push the 3500 pound car up into the garage. It took both of us and some maneuvering but Thomas was so pleasant, and equally as kind as his colleague over the phone. I can't tell you how much it means to be given great service in the *simple* form of kindness, especially knowing that most people call for tows in incredibly stressful situations. I would not recommend this towing company. My car was stolen, then found, then picked up by Alongi Bros. I called them less than an hour later, and they told me that they charge $150 per day, starting the minute they pick up your car, and $125 to open the gate after 5pm. My car was in their possession for 2 days, and it cost me $700 to get my car out. They did not budge on the fees, despite the fact that I'm disabled, not working, and on a very limited income. I even asked two different managers to reconsider, or a payment plan, and they refused. They told me to get my money back from San Jose PD. They don't care about their customers. They ripped me off and took advantage of me during a bad time. read more

I had a battery put in through AAA through Alongi Brothers in October 2022. It was in a Honda Civic 2008. It's always run a little bit weak as far as being able to start it consistently -come to find out it's the wrong battery the wrong crank And neither Brothers nor Aaa will replace the battery for free. Lewis from Alongi bros happened to be helping a car out and when he was done, we approached him and asked if he had anything that could possibly help us out. We didn't have any glue or patches and our tiny pump was barely working. He did the best he could, hooked us up with some air and electric tape that he was able to find in his car. They will start charging you the minute your vehicle arrives in their lot and then wait an entire week to even inform you that you now owe them a minimum of $1000 because they've apparently been charging you $130 every single day it's been there. They will charge you $120 if they have to open a gate for you get your vehicle. Honestly don't know how these people sleep at night. Supposedly they work with triple A for roadside towing. I requested a tow and was told it would take an hour. When that hour came, Alongi Bros cancel on me last minute and left me hanging. Reason because they don't want to accountability on towing my vehicle. So here I am stuck at 2am and eventually having to abandoning my Maserati in the middle of downtown after this long wait. Day after, I requested another tow through triple A during normal operating hour and the wait was an hour and half. 90 minutes came around, I drove out to my abandoned vehicle. Only to find out that Alongi Bros was suppose to tow my vehicle, and that they have canceled on me at the last min again! Alongi Bros towing is a unreliable, irresponsible, and lack of communication company! They could at least reject the request instead of having me wait until last min. I called for a AAA battery jump. A very nice young man from Alongi Bros arrived to jump my car. He told me the battery was no longer good & I needed a new one. He quoted me a price which I agreed too. I signed the invoice for the agreed upon price. Then I received an email with the correct invoice total quickly followed by another invoice from Alongi Bros. That invoice was $40 higher. Alongi Bros had added a $40 tip without my ok. I have called 3 times to get this resolved...... I am guessing that the invoice I signed had a VERY small statement on the very small iPhone screen that said uncheck this statement if you don't want to add a 20% tip. Had I been asked I would have given the driver a tip. I still don't know if that is what actually happened because I have never heard back from the "supervisor". So be warned.... If you have to use Alongi Bros check the very small invoice very carefully. read more

Pricing remains not transparent / not all my questions were answered. I advise anyone dealing with this company as a result of a city-initiated tow to ensure that you are not charged more than the rate specified by the CA Highway Patrol and approved by city council. February 3, 2022 I was still having trouble with this lousy battery install by these incompetent bros. I jump started my car and got in my driveway. I had recovered enough from double bypass open heart surgery to be able to troubleshoot what's wrong. As I was starting to remove this crap battery I found that the positive terminal was loose. So loose I did not have to use a wrench to remove it. I just pulled it off. Unbelievable three AAA Alongi Brothers did service calls and not one found this obvious screwup. The good: CHP called them and they got in pretty quickly. The drivers were informative although they can't give me a ride along with the tow because of Covid. The bad: super snappy front office lady. The wait can be quite a while to give a visit to your dying car. They charge 90$ for each day your car is in the yard, even if it's in for just 1 hour. They charge 120$ to dispose my car. Luckily I found Peddle.com who would actually pay me 840$ for the car and tow it out of Alongi for free. read more
