Alex (owner) was incredible to work with. He came out to our property and did a full evaluation. He caught things that no one else did. One thing that stood out to me was his transparency and honesty around the setup of our systems. We have old suction lines and liquid lines that are not compatible with the new Trane units. He has a solution for that but he was the only one that mentioned this. Some of the other installers that I inquired from also quoted us on the exact same Trane unit and failed to bring this up. In fact, the other companies were going to install a Trane unit on old lines, which would cause early compressor failure and voided the warranty through Trane due to the units being installed on the wrong sized lines in the first place (verified this with Trane). Alex was patient with me through all of my questions, provided examples of what it would look like to replace the lines, and was amazing to work with. Even though we ended up going with a company that made units compatible with our old lines, I am forever grateful to Alex and Ideal Air Conditioning for saving us from dumping a bunch of money to potentially have a premature failure down the road. If replacing the lines was not mandatory, we would have chosen Ideal Air Conditioning in a heartbeat. We plan to use them in the future for all of our HVAC maintenance!

We had significant issues related to voids, lack of insulation and a very warm bedroom located above the garage. After he came and did the assessment, we came up with a plan to do what we thought were the fastest ROI. We changed all of our ducts to R-8, extended the plenums, increase the insulation level to R-30 and filled up all the voids and air leaks, added a return and put more efficient grills. At the end, our electric bill went down, the rooms were more comfortable and temperature equalized. Jason is really meticulous and really knows its stuff. I would recommend him for new or old constructions. Yes, you read that right, he can tell you if the builder did the right things for your AC or if he took shortcuts which may lead to issues to you as soon as your system is out of warranty. Thermo S and another company's estimates came back close but with very different approaches to cooling down a bedroom that was always hot. In the end, we decided Thermo's solution sounded more logical. In the end we went with Thermo S because of Caden's expertise with duct work. He recommended duct sealing and adding an extra vent in addition to insulation. Day of, the team showed up on time, did the work efficiently, and cleaned up their mess. The difference was instant. The air felt cooler coming out of the ducts, the A/C comes on less, the hot bedroom is cooler, and the house is quieter. I do have bad allergies/chemical sensitivities and the duct sealing was rough but after 3-4 days the smell faded and it's been fine. I would say communication with the office could have been better but they always returned calls the same day. All and all a very positive experience--I would highly recommend Thermo-S.

UPDATE Mr. Russo,…read morethe owner of REEis, called me several times; he wanted to talk to me. I agreed to speak with Mr. Russo on Saturday February 28, 2026. He called and asked me what he could do to find a solution that would make me happy. We discussed both units. We paid for new units, but the grilles are damaged and look pretty bad. He said he'd send his best technician, Dennis, to examine the units. We also discussed the electrical panel, which I paid $6,800 for (it didn't need replacing). He agreed to reimburse me $4,800, and he said Dennis was going to bring the check. Dennis came and inspected the units.  I asked him about the check he was supposed to give me.  He said he didn't know anything about it. I sent an email Monday march 9th  to Mr. Russo why he hadn't given me the promised check and how he planned to resolve my issues.   I am still waiting for his response. It's terrible that after agreeing to something there has been no follow-up.  His word is worthless.  This reflects very poorly on the company.   Don't hire this company.  If the owner doesn't keep his promises, what can you expect? I was going to update my review to a positive one if they had honored their word; but he didn't, even after repeatedly asking me what he could do to find a satisfactory solution. Today is Monday March 23th, and I still haven't heard from Mr. Russo.

Getting the audit scheduled was difficult as the owner told me and the worker two different times. The initial audit took 45 minutes and he informed me I had a lot of air leaks that would need to be addressed. I hired them to fix the attic leaks, again the work was accomplished by 2 guys in less than an hour. When I asked for an auditor to come out and give me post repair numbers a totally different guy showed up with totally different equipment. He was here for over 2 hrs. Discovered that my chimney flue was open which was a big source of the leaking. His vent numbers were acceptable and totally different from first audit. Hard to trust that the vents were in need of sealing when the testing was totally different.
