My husband brought it to Timber Woodworking Machinery under the impression that they could handle the repair process. He was told that the Festool representative comes in on Fridays and that he could leave the saw there (without the box), and the rep would pick it up and send it to Festool for warranty repair. We expected a relatively quick process--maybe two or three weeks. Instead, two months later, we were still calling for updates and receiving no clear answers about when we would get the saw back. No one could even provide a rough estimate. For a company associated with a premium brand like Festool, this level of communication was disappointing. Timber would not provide me with a direct contact number for Festool and continued giving the same vague explanation: that a part was delayed coming from Germany and nobody knew when it would arrive. I eventually found Festool's service ceneter's number myself and began communicating with them directly. After multiple conversations with Festool--one of which became unpleasant enough that it had to be escalated to management--we finally received a call from a Festool customer service manager, Melinda. She informed us that because the repair had taken so long, Festool would be replacing the saw with a brand-new unit. Finally, some good news. Unfortunately, none of that progress came from Timber Woodworking Machinery. We had to advocate for ourselves every step of the way. Less than a week later, Timber called to let us know our replacement saw had arrived. I went to pick it up immediately and was actually prepared to leave them a positive review despite the long delay. However, less than an hour after I got home, I received a call from shop manager Ray Ann claiming there had been a mix-up and asking me to return the Sustainer box and manual because they supposedly belonged to another customer. Seriously? At that point, my confidence in the entire process was gone. After months of poor communication, lack of updates, and confusion surrounding the replacement, this final incident only reinforced my impression that the repair process was poorly managed from start to finish. Festool ultimately resolved the issue by replacing the saw, and I appreciate them standing behind their product. Unfortunately, my experience with Timber Woodworking Machinery's repair department fell far short of the level of service we expected.

Therefore, we chose them again for this much larger project, and I'm pleased to say they exceeded our expectations in every way. Naji arrived to discuss the project, and based on our conversations with him, was well-prepared to discuss options. He is a deeply knowledgeable person who is personable, professional, and truly customer-focused. The crew showed up right on time, and the point person on the job, Joaquin, explained the process of removing sod and dirt and installing the pavers--over 1,000 of them. They hand-measured and hand-cut the pavers that created the circular mesa around each tree--they look exquisite. It was a crew of seven, who were perfectly coordinated, worked well together, and hustled to get the job done in the promised timeframe--one day, which astonished my wife and me. Because the job required cutting a number of pavers there was quite a bit of brick dust. After completion, Joaquin used the hose to meticulously spray off all of our trees, shrubs, and all of the rock, to make it look pristine--that's going the extra mile! You can evaluate other companies, but if you want exceptional quality, attention to detail, honesty, and integrity, I recommend JNK without exception or qualification. Service-communication: very good. My main contact was James. Took a lot of time with us. We were going from scratch, so it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted. Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. Toward the end, had to wait for the pergola parts to arrive. About three weeks to complete entire job.

The manager also called back twice to make sure we were happy with the job. Although I missed those voice messages I figure posting about my experience here will make up for that. It's always tough when you are trying to hang a new door on an old frame that may not be perfectly straight anymore. And yes only time will tell if the fit holds.
