Inside is spacious. Large stage, open kitchen, fridge. Small windows which was a problem coz the room was warm. Opened one window and it wasn't enough to let cool air in. After the party was over, cleaning was easy. Never seen before, the plus was all tables and chairs broken down and stacked into a large drawer under the stage. That was cool. Anyway, I can say this place is good for maybe under 100 guests... slimly.

I had my baby shower here in November, and I could not have been happier. The price to rent this as an event space is very affordable and it was easy to book, given that the date that you desire is available. Their website is very informative with nice photos and easy instructions for booking, including their policies and what's included. I recommend this place to anyone looking for and affordable and charming venue to host under 100 people. The only improvement that I wish is the parking situation, it's in a suburban neighborhood where a street parking can be limited, especially on nice days where you have to compete for parking with fishermen and people going to the beach nearby.

Venue: We held the ceremony and cocktail hour outside and the reception indoors. Guests loved the deck and waterfront views. It was a bit windy at first, but the deck blocked most of it. Our 3:45 PM May ceremony was shady, so I wouldn't recommend fans or parasols for the main lawn. There's also another ceremony area beyond the trees that looked sunnier, we used that area to take family formals. We had 7 tables inside, but it definitely can fit at least 8, though a few tables must be broken down for the dance floor. We used that space for younger guests, which worked fine. One of the biggest perks was the in-house catering and many inclusions, which made planning much easier. Not having to coordinate multiple vendors kept everything streamlined. From our first tour, Crystal and Lisa were wonderful. Crystal was especially helpful and was basically our wedding planner/day of coordinator. On the wedding day, she and the team even helped set up our DIY décor, which we really appreciated. We brought everything from SF, and they were very accommodating. The venue also has great coastal décor that fit our theme perfectly. Food: The complimentary tasting was fun! Trying the food, drinks, and picking linens made it feel more real. We didn't love the passed appetizers served that day, so we chose different menu items. Guests especially liked the clam chowder, mahi mahi, pesto penne, and hibiscus margarita! The tri-tip was a bit tough, but likely because of us pushing dinner to start a bit later. We also added stationed appetizers for cocktail hour and late-night flatbread. I'd suggest placing the flatbread on the deck instead of near the dance floor so guests can enjoy it more easily. DJ: We loved how connected the deck and reception space felt--you could step outside for a drink, still hear the music, and easily return to the dance floor. We chose Mark Addington from the venue's approved DJ list, and he was fantastic. He kept everything running smoothly and brought great energy to the celebration. Culture & Entertainment: We wanted to include a tea ceremony and lion dancing, and Maverick's House made both easy. The upstairs bridal suite was a peaceful setting for our tea ceremony, and the outdoor space worked perfectly for the lion dance. We were the first couple to have lion dancing at the venue, and we appreciated being able to do that. We're so grateful we chose Maverick's House and couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding!

Jennifer and Lisa are awesome, easy to work with and responsive. The catering, bar and venue were all fabulous. With the use of local businesses as well as what the venue offers it was easy to throw together a really nice party. I would absolutely rent this venue in the future.

I mean this place was PACKED, which speaks volumes. We were able to wait at the bar until our table was ready. Since it was Father's Day, we waited a little while after our reservations. The interior matched the beach vibe. There are 2 areas -- one in the main dining area and the. The stage area by the bar. We sat in the main area, which was bright and comfortable at a booth. Now to the food: -Clam chowder in a bread bowl: 5/5 It was so comforting, hearty and piping hot. There was a good amount of clam in there. -Lobster ravioli: 5/5 Creamy, savory and seasoned right. -Crab sandwich: 5/5 A hefty sandwich with soft, buttery bread. A lot of people ordered this popular dish. -Chicken tender and fries: Kid seemed to like it haha House salad: 5/5 Big portion with lots of toppings Drinks: 5/5 We really enjoyed our meal here and the service. It was busy and we waited a bit for the food, but it wasn't unreasonable. We enjoyed our visit and looking forward to coming back!

My husband…read moreand I were engaged in the beginning of May 2010 and got married in the end of October 2010 so there wasn't a ton of time to plan. I chose this location right away for the location (walking distance to the Marine Reserve for pictures), the price (within the range for comparable venues), the fact you can get married and have the reception in the same place, and because I was able to bring in all my own vendors. Sharon, the owner and the woman who is essentially the day-of coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with. She was always honest and straight forward with me and walked me through many of the preparations leading up to the wedding. We had to do some very last minute contingency planning for rain, but Sharon was there helping the entire way through. Even though we got a rainy day and didn't get to enjoy the full beauty of the venue, Sharon saved the day many times over for us and made using Cypress Meadows worth every penny. I will never forget standing with my father, ready to walk down the aisle, and waiting for Sharon to let us know when we were supposed to go, because after all, we'd never done the wedding thing before. Cypress Meadows gets my absolute highest recommendation. Brides will not be sorry using this venue and it would also be great for corporate events and more!

Sharon, was amazingly kind and wonderful in letting us take over the place and just decorate it with candy themed stuff. It was the perfect place for my party and I couldn't have imagined anything better. We had a themed brunch, taped the candy dots on the wall to make "lickable wallpaper", Sharon loaned us a tv and we had the movies playing in the background as the "Wonkavision" corner. It was just a blast! Afterward we were able to play cornhole, lawn bowling, wiffle balls in the back. It was the best birthday I could have ever imagined and I don't think it would have been as special if it was anywhere else!
