Don't think I've left a review in years, but this one earned it. Walked up to the entrance with my kid and the woman running the place immediately came at me with a super condescending "this place is 21+" attitude, then walked off mumbling about the law. Totally unnecessary interaction. A simple "Sorry, this place is 21+ only" would've been completely fine. Major Karen energy. read more

What a gorgeous outdoor spot to grab a drink to sit around and watch the sunset! (when it isn't overcast)! This is an outdoor, make yourself comfortable with plenty of seating arrangements set out. One women runs the spot, she serves up plenty choices of ciders (alcoholic and nonalcoholic available). Well behaving dogs welcomed. There are stacks of blankets in a bin next to the register to borrow, and fire pits which she would turn on if you request. However, she does close up when the sun goes down, check her hours. The day we were there, she decided to extend her time because it was such a lovely day (and there were lots of folks still around). The location is just by the harbor, next to the Kayak rental shop, and a large parking lot is right across the road, and the public restrooms are within a few minutes of walking distance. read more

The blonde woman who was there when I stopped by was rude. we asked if she was open because her two huge signs said 2-7pm but when we got closer to ask about her hours, she kept yelling at us to read the sign. She points to the smallest sign I've ever seen and she was very condescending. Her tone was off putting and since we're not from the area we didn't know she was reopening for the season. I think a simple no would've been okay. Overall don't recommend not warm or welcoming. read more

A surprising find! This little spot is right on the water! The ciders are yummy and they have a variety of flavors. If it's your first time, I recommend ordering a flight so you can find the flavor that suits you. You just cannot beat sitting outside by the water, listening to live music! We sat in some chairs that kind of rocked a little bit, so it was enjoyable to be able to move a little bit to the music. You can bring in your own food. It wasn't crowded, so it was easy to find chairs and just relax!! We will definitely be returning! read more

Lovely & cozy spot... While exploring Half Moon Bay, we decided to check out OceanCiders. They specialize in cider, but since I don't drink alcohol, we went for the s'mores experience instead. Toasting marshmallows over the bonfire, sandwiching them between chocolate and graham crackers, made for the perfect cozy treat! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the live music was amazing, such a great vibe. Can't wait to be back! read more

We were exploring the area and we stumbled upon OceanCiders and very glad we did! As the name suggests, they serve primarily ciders, and they have a pretty big selection. Two Towns is my favorite cider, and they had a couple offerings including the pineapple cider which is delicious. What I appreciate is that they label each of the ciders with tasting notes, so you know if it's tart, sweet, or dry. Very helpful when trying to decide. The whole setup is outdoors, with multiple seating areas for all group sizes, fire pits, and live music on Saturday afternoons. It's right by the water so you get some amazing views of the Pacific and all the fishing boats. Great spot worth checking out when the weather permits read more

My boyfriend and I were exploring Half Moon Bay, and I've never come across a place quite like OceanCiders. This was such a cool outdoor spot to relax at. It's a ciders truck with plenty of outdoor patio style seating with a couple of fire pits, outdoor heating lamps, free blankets to use, corn hole, and live music. Because it's a ciders truck, they don't offer a food menu but sell small snacks. For those who don't drink cider or aren't in the mood for alcohol, they do offer a nonalcoholic hot cider! It was delicious! My boyfriend ordered a regular cider, it tasted a little fruity and it was good! We had excellent service, the employee was so kind and sweet. read more

Amazing view, great service, and HIGHLY autism-friendly. If you're trying to compromise with your partner that can only drink wine or ciders they do have 1 rotating beer on tap. Today they only had an IPA (barf) so I sucked it up and had 2 different ciders. Which was amazing. Have to stop by and try at least one. The girls are very knowledgeable of their ciders read more

What and fun and cool concept and execution of a beach hangout spot! Came here for a friend's birthday celebration and we claimed the areas around the giant firepit in the middle of the place. There was plenty of seating and the pit was large and well-maintained. It was super-awesome to have live music to add to the already awesome vibe of the place. My husband and I walked across the way over to Spangler's to pick up sandwiches for dinner and we brought it with us to eat (thank goodness it was okay to bring outside food). I don't drink alcohol, so I didn't get any cider, but they had packages of s'mores for sale, so he got himself a cider and s'mores for me. What a perfect offering to have for a place with a ginormous fire pit. I had fun putting my s'more together. The marshmallows that came with it were the flat campfire kind - perfect! The chocolates were the Ghirardelli squares - also perfect! If they had coffee as an offering, that would have been ultimate perfection for me as a pairing with my sweet treat. It was pretty magical to hang out as the sun went down and enjoy the warmth of the fire enveloping us as the night air chilled. The bay was right behind us and the view was so serene. Restrooms were down the paved walkway and was convenient. Service was great. Ambiance was great. I had a fantastic time. Hope to be back! read more

I stumbled upon this place while looking for options in Half moon bay and man WHAT A GEM! They've only recently opened and it's such a fantastic place to hang out with family and friends or for a romantic date. It's a serene location overlooking the bay and it's gorgeous at sunset. We tried their hot cider and the spicy guava cider which was on tap and they were both yum. Prices are very reasonable for the experience you get. It can get chilly and while they have fire pits and blankets, I recommend you bring a jacket. read more

Wow! What a fantastic, chill outdoor cider bar! Love the whole aesthetic here. Such an inclusive and comfy space for 21+ to sip and sample ciders, enjoy the frolicking harbor seals, soak in the sounds of nature, take in some live music for a few hours on select weekends, and just relax. Well behaved leashed dogs and outside food welcome (though the s'mores kits for the fire pits and warm fresh Bavarian pretzels they sell also pair well with your adult beverage). They have really gone out of their way to make it a cozy, low key, quintessentially coastal friendly establishment with lap blankets, water bowls for the dogs, and personalized service. Their flights make it easy to sample 7 ciders (plus one courtesy beer) on tap and curate your own palate. I can't wait to see what else they bring to the rotating menu in time! Such a great reward after a morning of kayaking/paddle boarding, a break from walking the coastal trail, and the perfect destination for quiet conversation and cuddles as you watch the sun set over the water. Chill place with good vibes. Awesome array of different seating, right by the water. As you sip delicious ciders - we got a flight - you have a view of the pelicans taking off from the ocean and the panoramic views of the mountains. Good vibes...very laid back little spot in Half Moon Bay marina. Friendly staff happy to answer questions and get you connected to a new favorite. We had the pineapple and blueberry ciders which were so good. Very drinkable, sweet with a nice tart finish, full of flavor. They also have a nice collection of NA drinks. We also got a s'mores kit cause why not?! The menu is small but the restaurant across the parking lot 'delivers'. Meredith was great, we're glad she never made it big read more

We decided to stop and try Ocean Ciders. As a big cider fan it surpassed our expectations! Great people, great selection of ciders too! Rotating tap selections are always a plus. (at our visit Fat Tire was a selection also) Cans and bottles too! Snacks and pretzels with cider cheese are a really good fit! Get a 4 taster flight or a full pour! Either way. Seems like a great fit for a small harbor! Well behaved pets are welcome. Many restaurants are close, bring your own food sit and relax by a warm fire pit over looking a great harbor view. If you're lucky you might see some sea lions. All on all a 5 out of 5 for us! We will be back!! read more

What an amazing little piece of paradise -located near the harbor in Half moon bay -I find it hard to find cider anywhere near the bay area -We had the strawberry basil and the guava chili both amazing -They do offer snacks and also allow outside food -If you are in the area -stop by Ocean Ciders located next to the kayak rental. read more

This place is a great hidden gem tucked right next to the water making it a great place to hang out and sip on some delicious ciders. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. This place is perfection! My darling husband took me here for some awesome ciders and music on my birthday weekend. Everyone is so friendly, the different areas are intimate for groups or couples, ambiance is harbor chic, and the swing is so comfy. Highly recommend on a sunny day in October. read more

Awesome!! OceanCiders is one of my favorite places to stop for a cozy outdoor experience with great ciders and snacks. The view of the harbor is front row and especially nice in the evenings. At the same time it doesn't seem Bay Area crowded and has a variety of creative seating arrangements complete with fire side benches and enclosed tented areas to share a drink with friends. Honestly this is the type of privately owned business that I'm thrilled to find and covet when I do . Instant spontaneous fun with friends family and or your significant other! read more

I've been able to stop in at Ocean Ciders on several of my dog walks down by the kayak rentals (it's a little hard to spot from the harbor parking area, so just walk over a little to the south of the kayak rentals) and it's a great place to stop for a drink and enjoy the beautiful ocean view. It is pretty well sheltered from the wind and has great casual ambience, and really cute outdoor table set ups, heat lamps and fire pits. The owner is really friendly and can accommodate special requests and allows outside food right now given their snack menu is somewhat limited.. Very dog friendly, and everybody I've met there has had nothing but great things to say. Highly recommend it as an additional option to your usual social hangouts. read more

I'm not always a sour lover, but it was the perfect balance. I would say that and the Sea Wolf were my favorites. The gal working, Lauren, was incredibly sweet. We asked for some local suggestions of places she liked for food, drinks, etc. and she was really helpful--gave us lots of great insight. She also chatted with us about her dog and ours...overall just really cool vibes. This will definitely be a go-to spot on all our future visits to the HMB area!

Vibes are good. They only have outdoor seating but it was nice and there are heat lamps, good shade. Only one bathroom, which had a very long line the entire time we were there. Order at the counter, pick up your food at the window, bus your own table.

Curious about what the new/old place is like, our three-person family went there for a late breakfast today. Walking up to the front doors, the original inset stained glass remains. Walking in, the cool wood paneling and nautical decor remains in place with a couple of new touches. The fully appointed bar also remains, now with a more streamlined look with subtle lighting changes. We were greeted pleasantly and seated inside the dining room immediately; it was moderately busy and buzzing, not too loud. Our server was quick to our table, menu-knowledgeable and consistent in his attention to us. We had a Denver omelette, a couple of bennies and lemon ricotta pancakes to share. My omelette had particularly fresh and al fresca peppers and onions - wonderful. The lemon ricotta pancakes were sufficiently saturated and fluffy(hard to pull off)and came with fresh cream. The prices were at about the same level as the local competition, which pleasantly surprised us. It appears that the folks who did this breakfast/lunch reboot were shrewd in pricing their dishes. Jetty Wave, a drinks and appetizers adventure(which I heartily recommend as well for different reasons)in the northwestern part of Princeton, is not for the fiscally faint hearted. The only element that makes our experience short of a 5 is that we were not given a farewell when we left, though I was able to find our friendly server and thanked him. In all, the Joanne's legacy is intact - the old carved wood Ketch Joanne sign still hangs inside - literally and figuratively a homage to its legacy while bringing a new energy to this space. We started with the calamari, which was hands-down some of the best I've ever had: tender, not rubbery at all, perfectly seasoned and fried, melting in your mouth. The New England-style clam chowder was rich, creamy, with just the right subtle smokiness and balanced seasoning--definitely lives up to Half Moon Bay's chowder reputation. For mains, the Dungeness crab sandwich was the star: generous lumps of sweet local crab, minimal sauce (just how I like it), on toasted sourdough with fries on the side. My partner went with the fish and chips, and the cod was crispy, flaky, and not greasy at all--classic done right. The outdoor patio with fire pits was cozy even in cooler weather, and our server was super friendly, attentive, and full of local recommendations. The place feels welcoming, whether you're a regular from the Coastside or just passing through after a beach walk or harbor stroll. Prices are fair for the fresh, quality ingredients and location--definitely worth it. We've already added it to our list for the next trip to Half Moon Bay. The employee stated, they "Humble Sea" cannot have "that" and telling us we need to leave. Spending $100 for two, we were flabbergasted. There was no checking in, is everything okay, are your puppies okay, etc. Just told to leave. I was unhappy but chose the higher road to not respond, just leave. While we left. I also notice, we were the only non-anglo customers there. I really hope the establishment is open to everyone and does not discriminate against race or patrons with canine. The experience on Saturday was a definitely new to us and one employee's action will likely prevent our support and the sharing of our feedback with the community of Humble Sea.
