I must say that my belief that everything happens for a reason proved itself yet agin. My husband and I are sooo thankful that we found Joel's tour before the generic 'train ride with add on's'. It was TOTALLY different, seamless, in your own class as 'Joel's group' and it just keeps getting better to the end. We loved what he showed us if Georgetown so much we went back and spent the day!! Overall, I say skip EVERYTHING else when it comes to train/mine/history and book this one stop shop. I even recommend as a parent. It was super fun for adults & kids alike and Alpenglow SPECIFICALLY made it sooo much better. I wish I could give more

We had a great time with Joel! He tells great stories and gives lots of interesting information on the tour! Joel makes photos along the way and is very prompt!

Tourist trap. Get your own tickets and save money. I would not recommend for anyone unless you don't have your own vehicle.

The views were breathtaking and the entire adventure was so much fun. Our tour guide Bubbles was AMAZING! He was friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend High Country Tours -- and if you can, request Bubbles! We will definitely be back!

Our guide, Kevin, was an absolute star! He took so many pictures, gave us so much history as we drove, and pointed out all the sites to see. We even stopped for hot chocolate! Unfortunately, due to the snow, we didn't get to go tubing, but completely forgot about it til I wrote this review. Truly couldn't have imagined the tour with anyone else. Everyone was so kind from check in, to driving to the drop off spot, to coming back down after the tour. It was an incredible experience all around. Ps. Highly recommend getting the $30 insurance. A pair in our group unfortunately did tip the snowmobile over (all was fine and snowmobile was ok) but it's great to have just in case. You don't know how to navigate the turns until you're on them.

Definitely bring sunscreen for the second tour, as you will be sitting outside in the sun for a little bit. It's cool and refreshing inside the mines, and they're full of history, right down to the wooden shafts that still have numbers painted on them from the miners of 1800s. You will learn about mining history and how harrowing and challenging it was, and see the actual tools they used, and how techniques developed over time. You will see shafts and tunnels you cannot explore but remain from days of old that inspire the imagination. You will also hear some silly ghost stories, and even see how UV light illuminates the rocks and minerals in the mines. Interested in history, gold, geology, or mining? Even if you aren't, take this tour anyway! It's well worth it, and the guides do a great job.

He wasn't wrong! His whole team was professional and so much fun to be around. The limo picked us up & Angelique (our hostess) educated us about cannabis and terpenes & food pairing with it. Our first stop was at High Country Healing, where Joe (budtender) overwhelmed us with buds, jars & smells! He made us feel so relaxed We stopped at the eatery to meet with our chef and have an appetizer. He was absolutely amazing and food was scrumptious! Next we went to our private wine tasting & pairing with Susanne (Frisco Wine Merchant). Another great fun educated lesson, she was a hoot! Then we went back to the eatery for our delicious entree & dessert. Also, we had the best Fall scenic route. We LOVED everything about it! We would love to do it again!
