Paws Crossing is truly wonderful. My Shih Tzu fur baby Milo had an amazing time during his visit -- he was happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoying himself. Both the front desk staff (reception) was great with quick check in service and explaining the amenities and kennel staff was incredibly kind to him from the moment he walked in, giving him lots of attention and making sure he felt comfortable. He doesn't usually take well to men he doesn't know but there was a team of female staff members there to help guide him while he adjusted. Additionally, I loved that I could watch him on the indoor and outdoor cameras the company provides during business hours. Being able to check in on Milo throughout the day on my phone gave me so much peace of mind and made the whole experience even better. Another bonus is that Paws Crossing is connected to MedVet, an emergency treatment center. Knowing that expert care is just steps away adds an extra layer of reassurance. Our dog Juneau loves Paws Crossing! He has booarded there since he was a puppy. The staff loves on him and he is always so excited to see them. The accommodations are clean and they offer great amenities like boarding, pet cams and swimming in the dog bone shaped swimming pool. Their grooming service is the best! We were on vacation out of country and my dog was hurt in another pet boarding facility and was taken to an emergency animal hospital. He was then transferred here at Paws Crossing and stayed here for a few days until we got back. You can imagine how I felt getting the news that your baby was hurt and you are thousands of miles away and can't help him. Fortunately, he ended up in this great facility. I really felt very blessed that this facility took very good care of my injured dog while we were away. The manager ,Pam, and her staff are very kind and passionate about what they do. Just stay away from this very unprofessionally and erratically managed facility if you care about your animals... After over 2 years of leaving my dog there, and overlooking many qualms (including kennel cough and no accountability for a feeding schedule) I said "no more" today. I picked up my dog on Saturday, during their 2 hr p/u window on weekends, and dared to ask about the extra food I always pack for her in fear that I might experience a delay in picking her up. EVERY time I have picked up my 15 lb, 5 year old, extremely shy, shelter adopted dog, they have handed me her empty bag with no remaining food or an explanation of her feeding schedule. Last Saturday I dared to question where her extra can of prescription dog food was and asked why I wasn't being given any account of her eating schedule. Apparently my questions were not acceptable and the manager called me today saying that she can't keep staff at the facility (all true) and that I upset her one employee there on Saturday by asking questions. She stated that I did not leave an extra can of food for my dog, yet after further research, I found that she was again wrong. Yea, I was done with them after that call... It's not about the 1 can (or total of 7 or 8 cans), it's the lack of accountability and organization at this place. The employee turnover speaks for itself. There used to be intelligent and caring people working there, but under the new management it's not stable. I'd rather quit my job and stay home with my dog than deal and worry about that kind of unprofessionalism. I had dropped off two of my dogs (10yrs old & 2 yrs old) for a 7 day stay and within the 3rd day they started to have issues, and by then I didn't trust thwn to watch my babies. It was my first time boarding my dogs and I had trusted paws crossing to take care of them. I had printed out photos and details on both of my dogs and how to care for them. I constantly was watching the camera that was placed in their cottage and from what I can see, they were neglected. Barely any play time, walks, potty breaks, etc. I had booked their boarding stay with them because as listed on their website for the cottage I was paying for they would get walk, playtime and expected potty breaks. What really made me what to type up this review is how some of their workers handled the situation and how they were speaking to me. Theres communication between the employees on how the dogs should've been taken care of and when I called they gave me attitude. Since by the 3rd morning of my dogs staying there I noticed they were peeing and having diarrhea in their cottage that was left in the room with them for hours, I kept calling and no response or call back. I watched them clean it but their way of cleaning is taking a mop and smearing it all around leaving remaining residue behind. I have only seen one girl worker that actually took the proper cleaning measures and she was the only one that was professional. One last thing that really had be shocked was how after I had gave them permission to take my small 2 yr old dog to the MedVet next door since he wasn't eating, shaking and having a liquid stool, and after he was done with the medvet where he was there for hours they just threw him in the same kennel with my medium 10 yr old dog. If you know dogs they're going to smell different and like the vet and my small dog get attacked in the middle of the night as I watched and panicked from miles away and I called and no one answered the phone or went to check up on my dogs. Later the next day I thought everything was okay but later on I get a call that my small dog has puncture wounds all around his neck and near his eye, they have to send him to the medvet again. You would think since it's basically their fault for throwing in my small dog with my larger dog after knowing he was just at the vet and smells different to watch how they react to each other. And I was left with the medical bills for that and I had to have another family member pick both my dogs up after that since they don't seem to know what they're doing. From what I was told from the family member who picked up my dogs they kept complaining about my small 2 year old dog, the one that got attacked. read more

I boarded my two little dogs overnight. We scheduled a pick up time on Saturday at 3:00. I was promised that somebody was here 247. It is not 3:30. Nobody's coming out to deliver my dogs to me. I can't get a hold of anyone and I have no idea how or when I'm going to get my dogs back. I banged on the door I've called and left a voicemail. I went on the Facebook page and message them. We were new to dog boarding , but due to many trips we finally had to do it and we were happy to find this place. The 5 star rating is mainly for the owner/ manager that got rid of one of the nastiest people at the front desk. Unfortunately, we had to deal with Amanda quite a few times and she was ALWAYS unpleasant. Even when I first came to tour the facility , she was rude. I can go into detail, but no need since she's gone now. Before dropping off my pup this morning , I had an anxious feeling in my stomach thinking that I would have to deal with her again.... But she wasn't there. Then I asked "does she still work here?" And they said no! You could see that even the other staff are relieved now that she is no longer there. Again, applauding the manager or owner that payed attention to the toxic/ negative employee and took action. No one needs to feel uncomfortable when dropping their fur baby off. I have used them for boarding only once. I'm not crazy about their drop off and pick up times as they dont let you pick up or drop off on the weekends. I do however use them for grooming. Maria is Penny's groomer and she has never come back with an ear infections, cuts, weird haircuts or other issues. She does a great job! The staff is always friendly and greets us both :) read more

I've used Paws crossing serval times with reluctance. We use to go to Pooch in Sunnyvale and our little guy loved it there,was not upset at all. They closed during the shut down. PC was recommended by another hightly rated boarder Who did not have space available. Unfortunately we have not experienced any good stays. The last stay was in March and he was sick for two days after. I have a friend that went on my recommendation they skipped 2 meals. I had booked him for an upcoming trip. Because I asked questions on how the daily routine was so I could help with a solution, they cancelled our reservation. I did not get a call or email responds from a manager. Bottom line the main business is the emergency vet next door and their corp office is not local So basically they do what they want. I do not recommend this place . read more

My dog was euthanized last Friday. He boarded at Paws Crossing October 5- 14. Upon arrival I was asked to put on his brace so they could walk him to his cottage. I made it clear that it was for walks only. It was not removed for 2 days nor was he given a blanket as promised. He slept on the hard floor. 3,000 miles away and watching him on the cam, we were unable to reach anyone by phone even during business hours. Finally, after several emails later, it was removed. I spoke to the " new " manager who reluctantly came out to speak with me at my insistance upon my return. He denied the facts despite the fact that they were documented by phone. I do not for a minute assign blame to the dedicated staff members at this facility but management and communication are a joke. My aging dog had to suffer because of neglect on their part. read more

My dog stayed at Paws Crossing for few days in a large private cottage, and they provided the most terrible service possible. I was promised I get daily emails with updates which I never got. I was told that he gets two daily walks to release himself - and I have been watching him in the Pet Cam, he would bark so much to get out in the morning and no one would take him out. After an hour he had to release himself in his room and then I saw him going to his poop and licking. I had to cut my trip short to come and rescue him from this cruel boarding place. I brought him home and he started getting sick - fever, severe diarrhea. I sent the following email to the facility - no response. I also left a message to talk to the manager- no one called me back. ---- Saturday August 21st, I was watching Pluto on the Pet Cam, as he was barking in the dark and no one was helping him to get out to release himself. So after an hour of barking he pooped and peed in his room, which is unacceptable and inhumane. Then after few hrs., someone came in and swept it away. You stated that you came in at 6:30 AM and took him out which is a lie as you wouldn't release all these dogs in the dark and walk them back in their room in the dark, and he wouldn't be barking for two hrs. with no attention. A stay in the Cottages includes: Twice Daily Walks Private Playtime Daycare or Other Activities available for Additional Charge - which I paid additional fees so he plays 9 to 12. He didn't get the walk, otherwise he wouldn't be releasing himself in his room. He also didn't get a private playtime - as on Friday - he was also barking a lot after 5 pm for hrs., and no one would even pay any attention, I was told he would have a concierge dedicated to the cottages. I was told I would get daily email with pictures and updates, which I never got one on Thursday and Friday. I left numerous messages on Saturday so I can get someone to help him, with no answer. I cut my trip short and came and picked him up on Saturday and I get an email around the same time I picked him up that he is doing well but has upset stomach because of the stress. He has upset stomach because the staff left his fresh food out all day and fresh food can't be left out all day, and it grows bacteria. I also have a picture of him that he was either licking or sniffing his own poop in the room which was there for couple of hrs. His poop that morning wasn't runny, otherwise the staff wouldn't be able to sweep it. I am reporting this incident to the corporate office in Ohio as well. Please don't take your dog to this facility and go through what we are going through. My dog is in Saratoga Veterinary Hospital right now. read more

I left my 2 year old dog for a long stay, 24 days, for the first time because the place I usually use is closed. I did not realize I needed to physically check her out before I brought her home. Once I got her home, I realized her left side of her mouth was swollen and red, and her toe on her left rear foot was hairless and swollen and red. I emailed pictures to the kennel and got a call back from Paws Crossing on Monday; they were not able to provide a reason as to why her mouth was swollen or how she received the injury to her foot. I was disappointed that these injuries were not noticed, and that I was not alerted to them and instead had to follow-up once I had returned home. We will not be utilizing this facility again. read more

When you walk in you are met with smiling faces. They have an outside area where dogs can commingle together but first they have to pass a test to make sure your dog is friendly. They have special doggie Suites... looks like a hotel room laugh out loud. We have used this place before and they took great care of our dog. CAUTION when leaving your fur babies here! Staff don't listen to directions. My boyfriend and I went out of the country for two weeks and left our black lab in the care of Paws Crossing. I specifically gave directions on in case of emergency which vet to take our dog to. They took him to a different vet after a week where our dog was having bloody diarrhea. They removed our dog from the cottage sweets for majority of the time which we were charged in full for. They didn't attempt to contact us nor any of our emergency contact on file with any updates. They emailed us the day before we got home to let us know he was taketo emergency and attempted to email us though we got no updates or prior emails to this incident. To top it off when we got our dog back he had sores on his mouth like he had been biting on something all week. Very disappointed in the care our dog received. I am an experienced veterinary technician and understand how to care for other pets and word can't describe the mistreatment paws crossing placed on our baby! I haven't been here in a long while but I wanted to share my experience anyway because this pet resort was just so good when I did frequent it that I remember it fondly. This pet resort features day care and individual rooms for your dog if you'd like to have them pampered in a room by themselves. The individual rooms come with cameras so you can keep an eye on your pet most of the time (unless they are out of their room for some reason such as play time with the other dogs.... in which case there are cameras in those areas as well). What really sets this pet care establishment apart though, is that they are in the same building as a top notch 24/7 veterinarian hospital and one of the best eye veterinarians that I've ever encountered as well. This really helps with the peace of mind that one needs when they are leaving their fur babies in the care of others for any period of time and makes the price of pet care at Paws Crossing so much more worth it. read more

Update 1/17/22 After getting several calls from the director after my letter in 12/31/21, I was able to speak to her directly. My initial email with pictures of my injured dog's tail was never received &/or deleted before reading. But again, they didn't follow up after my initial phone call. We were able to come to an agreement and I am satisfied. The employees have been informed of what constitutes a serious injury. I was not asked by this company to update or remove my review. But chose to because it's the right thing to do. Still won't be recommending them or bringing my dogs back. ///////////////////////////////////////////////// DO NOT bring your dog to this facility. I left my 4 dogs in their care for a week after referrals from friends. There were a few missteps early on, but nothing serious. Then I receive a call that my dog "has nicked" his tail. They assured me they would apply anti bacterial cream and that it did not warrant a trip to the vet - NEXT DOOR. I was out of town and picked them up a few days later. I was horrified to see that my dog's tail was STILL Bleeding from an open wound. A 2 inch slice of his tail was gone....not a nick by any standard. NO skin was left to cover the wound. The vet is right next door.....no excuse to not have him checked out. It took 3 trips to the vet, antibiotics and pain meds to get it healed after 3 weeks. This wasn't a mistake, this was negligence. I contacted the manager and sent pictures of what the wound looked like when I picked him up. No response....they don't care about animals. I spent $2500 for a week for the 4 dogs. But I am now spending more to have them cared for by someone I know and trust. I will be contacting the licensing agency as well as the business license department of Campbell. If you have been bringing your dogs there, I would look for a new place immediately. If your dog dies in their care, they only have to pay $200. read more

I sent my 11month old cat to get his claws trimmed for the first time at this location. Took ten minutes to do but the next morning he got a infection under one of his toe beans. He kept licking and biting it all day which made it red a swollen. We had to call our vet and she told us it could be an infection he developed when he went to paws crossing. Absolutely the best for dog boarding. The staff keeps you informed and demonstrates that they sincerely care for your pet, making your time apart less stressful for both of you. During my dog's most recent stay, he wasn't eating much at first. The folks at Paws Crossing were paying attention and reached out to ask for permission to add some wet food to his usual food. It worked! I received an update stating that he started eating better. I'm so thankful for their consideration. I also got a couple of great photos of him during his stay. Even though I could watch him from the cottage webcam, getting a photo in an email was a special touch and it made my day. I don't board often, but for those times when you need a vacation away, Paws Crossing is by far the best option for boarding your pet. read more

My 5 1/2 month old Shichon (Shih Tzu/Bichon mix) Sofi and I just got back from our first Puppy Kindergarten (training), and we learned so much! I love Tanya's (the trainer) real-world approach - she doesn't use treats to train. We went over 3 commands today, and I can say that I feel confident that Sofi and I will master them quickly. Tanya emphasized that this class is about the puppies building confidence, and she also reminded us not to expect too much of our puppies, since they're still learning. Sofi was great and made me proud. I'm looking forward to practicing everything throughout the week and to see how much she (and I) can pick up over the next 6 weeks of training. I chose this place for my boys after being referred to it by a coworker. I will say the facility itself is beautiful and very well maintained. When searching for a new boarding place for my boys I am very picky. My boys are like my children and I do everything I can to give them an amazing life. Thanks to covid... our usual boarding facility, The Lucky Dog Ranch in Redwood City shut down. This place was like a home away from home. Upon discovering this place.... I made an appointment for a tour. I met with a very nice lady who broke down pricing for me which seemed reasonable.... After all.... Anything for my boys. I was told by the front desk employee that by getting the cottages for two labs.... They would get all day play, private play session and early and late potty walks to relieve their needs. This sounded wonderful however I voiced my concern to the employee that "all day play" might be too much for them because they are senior dogs. She advised me that she could put a note for them to do half day play instead which seemed great. I wanted to make sure that my boys got to socialize w other dogs and that they didn't over do their play time. My boys passed the screening test, the facility seemed lovely and well maintained and I really liked how the cottages had cameras. I brought my boys here for a 3 night stay. I was advised to print off and sign the agreement, the feeding instructions and the medications form. I brought all this on the day of drop off. Having the cameras broke my heart.... Never have I seen my boys howling and barking the way they were when they stayed here. They stayed in their cottages hours and hours on end and were seen often just howling and barking. My boys are NOT howlers and I found this very odd. The play time they got was very minimal and even my mother who checked in on them every hour was saddened to see how unhappy they were here. My mother noticed that the boys were howling and crying which they never do. I have cameras all around my house and even when left at home for hours on end they do not howl or bark. The cottage cameras also are not 24/7... theyre only 7am to 7pm while the outdoor play area is 9am to 7 pm. I tried not to check too often but my mother was checking hourly and was extremely disappointed with the services. Upon pick up day was the shocker. 3 night stay boarding came out to $633!!!!.... This price was wayyyyyyyyyyyy higher than the price quoted to me by the lady when I initially went to look at the facility. I felt as though I was sold and suckered in on a false advertisement. The facility charged for administering each supplement on a daily basis.... There was no mention of this to me nor was it on their medication form...The woman working the front desk did not tell me, "for an extra fee we can administer supplements"... all you do is drop it in their food. The second shocker was I was also charged for "1/2 day play time".... The woman at he front desk told that they'd get "all day play", "private play session" and two potty walks. I voiced concern that that might be too much play time and requested to cut it in half.... Thank god otherwise I would have been nickel and dimed for more. You would think that when boarding your fur babies, normal play/socialization would be covered under the boarding process. I felt as though this was a rip off because my boys spent most of their days locked up in a cottage howling and barking. The woman who gave me a tour made the facility seem delightful however after checking out and watching my boys on the room camera, it was anything but delightful. I later looked at the website after checkout and observed "daycare or other activities available for additional charge". I wish i had looked at the website prior to booking and wish I had gotten my estimate in writing after talking to the lady who provided my "tour" and boarding information. I suppose when boarding your pups here.... They're simply locked up allllllllll day unless you want to pay for "daycare" also. I wish the front desk lady was more clear with all this. Ridiculous pricing for my boys to simply be locked up the majority of the day. read more

We boarded our dog at Paws Crossing last year and she has not been the same since. I paid for special 1:1 play time each day because she had not been evaluated for the general play, which would have cost more. She really needs people attention, so I thought that at least 20 minutes she would get attention, and be able to play. I watched the puppy cam every day of our vacation and was shocked to see her in her "personal play time" where she was most often left alone (90% of the time) in the play area. Most of the time, no one played with her, talked with her petted her. She has been seriously ill ever since, with an auto immune condition that is most likely caused by stress. I have been taking my little dog to Paws for many years. During the last year the grooming department and the front desk continue to make BAD mistakes. 1 month ago, I dropped my dog off for a bath. He was groomed and cut short. Today, my husband dropped him off told Danielle, give him a trim. Explain to her, showed her how little to cut, then when I picked him up, apparently she told the groomer to go "super short". I am shocked, upset and pissed. It's winter and now he has a summer cut. I left a message with owner and manager and I am sure they won't call back. Last time I left a message with owner, he never called back. I am done with this place. My family and I took a four day trip vacation. I had been tossing around the idea of having our cat stay at home or at facility since it would be the longest we have been away from him. Upon doing research on the local areas I came across Paws Crossing. I added my information to the interested in a call back on their website and forgot about it. I believe the next day I got a call back but I still wasn't sure about housing him here and told them I would call back if I was for sure. About a week or two before our trip I called back to schedule our kitty to stay here. The guy was super nice, answered all my questions, and we booked. They did take a $60 deposit to keep his spot but that goes towards the final amount at the end of the stay. When I dropped off Castle I was sad and guilty to leave him. I couldn't take him out of his kennel in the lobby as it is shared with dogs and other kitties. They offered me to go back to where he would be staying and I could give a proper good bye. I also let them know about his startled farts and his other quirks. They took notes down and I left. The only thing I was not told was that on the pick up day you have to be there before 12pm or they will start charging you for "over staying" so I assume if they stay at closing 7 pm it would be charged an extra day Overall I would have Castle stay again. They also gave me a update sheet upon picking him up to let us know how his stay went. Since then, our kitty has not left our side. read more

My dog got kennel cough for the second time after going to daycare here. I was very specific about informing us from the first time he got it and wanted to try them again with hopes it was a one time situation. Not more than two daycare days and he got it. I shared it with them and they weren't concerned or shared any information about an outbreak. Didn't seem to care. Very disappointed. read more
