    Low Country Skillet

So we got the Low Country Skillet and Huevos Rancheros and oh man... they were SO GOOD. The low country skillet comes with a side bread of your choice and we chose the biscuit which I'm so glad we did. The biscuit was so soft and you get to choose from an assortment of jam, which tasted so good with the biscuit. I just felt like it was bursting with flavor and so savory. The huevos rancheros were really good and satisfying. Our waitress suggested that for the egg we choose Sunny side up so that you can pop the yolk and it will bleed into the rest of the dish. It did not disappoint! The inside of the restaurant was super cool. I loved the vibe. It's actually a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. There are two floors. I actually felt like upstairs felt very open with the big windows. The people working there are super nice. There are so many dishes that looked so exciting to me, and I will be back to try some more. So many cool options!

Super cute place with great service and great food. We came with a party of 7, and every plate was cleared. Everything that everyone ordered was so delicious. We will definitely be back to try more.

I have not been to BBB in so long as I travel so much. Yet today a friend asked for us to meet there for breakfast to catch up. It was comfortable as we sat for a long while and the food we had was yummy. My favorite thing always is this service at places because those ones can make things be good or bad no matter what the food tastes like. The server we had was seriously supper nice and enjoyable and helpful the whole time for us. So all is good in here and it was a good breakfast spot to go to for the first time in so long.

We are here in a Saturday morning around 10 am. The restaurant was full but we didn't have to wait for a table. We ate upstairs. It is a cute place, clean, and lots of windows and natural light. We ordered the big meat skillet, the veggie skillet and the oyster scramble. The portions were great. The food was fresh. It was a solid meal but nothing we would rush back for.

Overall, I love breakfast, and while the portions are very generous, they were a bit heavy for me. My favorite dish was the biscuit crumble. It had so many layers, and the tomato added the perfect balance, preventing it from being too salty or overpowered by the bacon. I've actually developed a newfound love for tomato gravy. In comparison, the Jack Benny was too salty for my taste. I really enjoyed the fried hash cake, but with the ham, the saltiness was all I could taste. I loved the décor, and this experience definitely doesn't deter me from coming back to try more dishes.

We had been talking about coming here for a while now, it's just normally out of the way on the weekends plus hangry kiddos wanting food quickly means we haven't had a chance yet. We walked in for a brunch / early lunch on the weekend. We didn't have to wait long. Our kids both wanted pancakes and bacon. After some debate, I settled on the chicken and waffles. It was very good, but my gosh that was a lot of food - I ate on it another meal easily. My wife got one of the breakfast scrambles and enjoyed it. I hope they open one in Trussville - I think they'd do well there!

Sat at the bar since there was a long wait. I got choc chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Vietnamese coffee is also fire. My bf got the veggie omelet and it was perfect. Had goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms. Friendly staff and got our food fairly quick even with the crowd.

Was referred to this spot by a local as we were in the area visiting. Great little spot, cute vibe and friendly staff. We ordered the French toast it was good, lots of fresh fruit top. Then we got the skillet, biscuit and grits. Loved all the house made jellies.

    Big Bad Skillet

First thing, first....can we say BANG for your buck! The portions are worth the price. The food was delicious. Service was on point. They were very busy; however, the service did not suffer. The hostesses, server, and manager (?-nice gentleman who seemed like he was the boss) were all friendly and welcoming. I had the Big Bad Skillet and was pleasantly surprised at how meat heavy it was. And the biscuits were "chef's kiss" fluffy and big. Definitely a place to return to.

It had been a really long time since I had BBB. This was a good choice for brunch , after leaving church. The hostess was really nice and prompt in adding me to the waitlist . I ended up sitting at the bar. The service was fast & friendly. I ordered a mimosa to drink. It was tasty and refreshing . I ordered steak and eggs with hash brown cake as my side. I was satisfied with my food overall. The steak is a 6 oz ribeye , so medium rare temp was perfect! My fav was the hash brown cake!! So good!!!! This was my first time at this location. There's street parking only, so this might be hit or miss depending on when you visit.

I love visiting here. It is my mom and I's breakfast spot to go when we want to have brunch or breakfast together. My last visit, I got steak and egg. The steak was perfectly cooked to my instruction. I always worry about overdone steak. But this as done right. My mom enjoyed her egg white omelette and the biscuits were also fluffy and wasn't dry. We were able to find a park right out front. So I was happy about that, as parking can be quite the task in this place. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will be back again.

Friendly Sunday service!!Our server, Madelyn, was helpful and attentive. She helped me make a choice of entrees . The biscuits and pancakes are huge! I oreder tge huevos rancheros grits bowl and it was pretty tasty. The portion size was very filling. I couldnt eat it all. My boo had the Breakfast Plate and left no crumbs. It is a very casual dining spot so no need to worry about getting dolled up or wearing your Sunday best. I look forward to vising again next time I am in Birmingham .

Breakfast Southern style. This is how you do it in the South!

Just leaving Big Bad Breakfast and OMGosh I couldn't recommend them any more. Delicious food and awesome staff. Shout out to our server Courtney and to Elliot who also stopped by several times to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. If you're in the Birmingham area do yourself a favor and go to BBB.

There was a bit of a wait before my order was taken, but honestly, it worked out in my favor because it gave me plenty of time to look over the menu. There were so many tempting options that it was honestly hard to decide! I ultimately chose three items and enjoyed a few bites of each. Ham & Fontina Scone: This was my first time trying a scone, and I was pleasantly surprised. The texture reminded me of a dry biscuit, but the ham added a delicious savory flavor that I really enjoyed. Frittata Plate: The frittata was SO good! It wasn't too dry, and all of the flavors worked really well together. It was served with polenta, which reminded me of really fine grits, along with fruit. After trying it, I realized that one entrée would definitely be enough for me to enjoy on its own. Breakfast 'ZA: This was essentially a breakfast pizza topped with a fried egg, and the egg was such a nice touch. The 'ZA itself was really good, although I think adding something similar to a gravy or sauce would make it a little less dry. Even without it, though, the fried egg really took it to another level. Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso: I decided to try the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, which was the barista's pick. This was my first time having a shaken espresso, and I'm so glad I gave it a try! It was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. The inside of Trattoria ZaZa is nice, although it is somewhat small, so I opted to sit outside.
