This was my first time at this shop. I was helping a friend out with an assignment Saturday so I was using the pavilion next to this shop. Walked up and saw some patrons drinking liquids of their early morning choice. I entered and inside was nice . Nearly all seatings were taken but, after i placed an order, a table became available so I sat down and waited on my cappuccino with caramel. I did add a packet of trivia to sweeten it. All in all the morning treat was tasty and my visit was pleasing.

I prefer the pepper place location but since we were at RR park , we came here to grab coffee. I ordered a Cortado and my mom had one of their winter festive drinks, biscoff latte. We both enjoyed our hot drinks. The service was blah. This location is small inside, so we enjoyed our drinks to go. There is a patio. No private parking lot. Street parking only.

I only stopped by to do work on my laptop so I only grabbed a simple plain black coffee. The food options and multiple drink options look great though. My favorite is always the vibe and the server I had was very nice and welcoming. This was a great place to sit and work and multiple people had been in there meeting with others so it is great for that too obviously. This is a great place.

Red cat a cute, cozy cafe right across the street from Railroad park. Indoor seating filled up quick, so we sat outside. Fortunately the weather pleasant. There was not much of a line inside and the baristas quickly prepped my coffee. I ordered a cappuccino with lavender syrup and was not the biggest fan. It wasn't terrible, but I'd order something else next time. Overall I'd visit again! Very convenient to grab a coffee and walk around the park.

Bischoff latte is incredible and a must-try if you come here. Kind staff with a nice atmosphere to study or get some work done. The spinach and feta hand pie had a generous amount of filling and great flavor. The breakfast bowl and breakfast sandwich are both pretty average, as would be expecting ordering food from a coffee shop. The coffee is amazing though.

The last few times I have been here have really deterred me from returning anytime soon. This place is very convenient for long study sessions. However, they seem to be having issues training their staff as I have encountered issues with inconsistent prices and long waits for a drink. They also changed their wifi password (why?) and the Internet is spotty. The tables are wobbly as well. I will probably be going to other coffee shops before thinking about stepping into red cat again as the drink quality and service has diminished.

I was attending the @WaterLanternFestival, at railroad park and wanted a cool drink. I didn't want the typical food truck drink and decided to see what the Red Cat had to offer. Such a great spot to sit outside and have a pastry, coffee and/or a cold drink after a day of activities at the park. The service was nice and pleasant. I ordered a smoothie. Great options for a fruit smoothie. My mango and pineapple smoothie was delicious. I'll put this place on repeat. The $6 price was worth the taste for the 16 oz drink. Perfect for a fun event,

My husband and I got our romcom on and had a date here yesterday. This was my first time coming to this location. We were greeted upon entering and ordering was easy. I got a breakfast sandwich and a superfood smoothie. The star of the show was the smoothie! It was perfectly blended and it was so good, while being packed full of great ingredients. The service was good and the employees were friendly. I'd go back!

I went to the location at Pepper Place but there isn't a Yelp location for that one. I needed a workspace before I could check in to my hotel room so I found this spot. I got a chai latte and a pumpkin something muffin. (It was gluten-free, I believe.) The ambiance was super cozy and the natural lighting was beautiful. There's plenty of space for folks to work, meet with other folks, etc. The only thing I didn't like was the WiFi was inconsistent. I had to use my hotspot while I was here to get some work done.

If you find yourself with a caffeine craving at Railroad park, check out Red Cat! They have a fun cat themed speciality coffee menu and lots of fun season drinks. My favorite is their Abyssinian - a delicious vanilla and cinnamon combo. Ask the baristas for their recs, they're so friendly! They have a menu of breakfast burritos and bowls that always hit the spot, and a pastry case with fresh selections. This also a great study spot, with great lighting and lots of tables near outlets.

This small corner shop is in a fabulous location, it's within walking distance of children's Hospital, Red Mountain Theater, Railroad Park, UAB and the surrounding vicinity. You can smell coffee fragrance as soon as you begin opening the door the baristas are happy with quick service. Any coffee drink you can imagine, pastries and a few other snack or breakfast necessities are always available.

I've been traveling for the last 1.5 years & haven't had access to grits, so I knew just the spot when I was back in Birmingham. Red Cat's Turkey Sausage Breakfast Bowl did not disappoint- It's what I call "fancy grits!" The eggs were fluffy, & the grits were warm to the perfect temperature. My coconut milk cappuccino with cinnamon was delicious, & my partner enjoyed his iced hazelnut almond milk latte. We did wish our drinks were served in mugs since we were dining in, but the friendly baristas & cozy environment made up for that small expectation. Suggestion: label the food menu gluten & dairy free :)

Chai latte tasted like milk with cinnamon. Did not care for it. Service was ok. It was very crowded on a Sunday afternoon.

I was specifically super excited to try their seasonal matcha special, which was made with horchata (also from Salud!) and strawberries, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, we walked in only to find they were out of the supplies needed to make the drink. :( I was caught off guard and didn't know what to order, but the barista recommended a latte with maple flavor so I went with that. The interior was clean and spacious and had a relaxed and calm but energetic feeling to it. Good place to hang out or work quietly. There's a self-service area to spruce up or fix your drink or grab lids or stir sticks. Service was nice and my drink came out quickly. It was pretty good but not really the "right" drink for me. I like my stuff on the sweet side and this was much more balanced and coffee-forward. That said, it held its own against my sugar-craving taste buds and I drank most of it, which is usually the hallmark of good brew, lol. I don't really blame them because I blanked on what to order and just went with what was suggested. It's probably a great suggestion for lots of other folks! Would be happy to come back and try a different beverage. Seems like a nice place overall. :)

Colorful furniture, eclectic paintings, and musical instruments hanging on the walls give it a creative, artsy feel -- like they actually get used by a local band after hours.
