My original concern was regarding the pricing of a repair and the inconsistent explanations I received about why the cost had increased significantly compared with my previous repair and a recent quote from the company. I want to be clear that my concern was not with the technician. He was professional, courteous, arrived on time, and completed the repair well. After reviewing my feedback, the manager from CLT Appliance reached out to discuss my concerns. I appreciate that the company took the time to listen and address the situation rather than dismissing my feedback. I also appreciated that my initial conversation with the manager's assistant was escalated and handled promptly. The manager reviewed my concerns, provided additional clarification regarding the pricing, acknowledged my frustration, and worked with me to resolve the issue. CLT Appliance ultimately refunded the $125 difference that was the source of my concern. I appreciate a company that is willing to listen to customers, take accountability, and make things right. The technician arrived a couple of hours after the call. Cleanly dressed, polite. He spoke with a slight accent, but very clearly. He asked to give him some time to figure out the cause of the breakdown. A few minutes later he called me and I saw the disassembled dryer. The technician explained to me what exactly broke down, showed me the burned-out part, and named the probable causes of the breakdown. After that, he checked if he had such a part and, fortunately for me, he had it, so I didn't have to wait a day or two for the part to arrive in stock. In an hour, my dryer worked like new. He also explained to me in an accessible way how to prevent breakdowns in the future and gave me some tips that, I am sure, will save me time and money in the future.
