Yikes!! Worst experience I've had. I was excited for EAS to come out and fix our stove at a flexible hour and a great price, until I discovered why it was such a low price. All our lives were put in danger when our gas valve on our stove was broken by the technician. Instead of turning the gas off after it started leaking all over the house, he left us there, jetted out the door super fast, and we never heard from him again. Luckily a friend was there to turn off the gas and we were able to safely get out of the house until the gas company could arrive and fix our stove for us. On October 5, 2010 a tech named Vasiliy came out to my house to look at my stove and fix what was wrong with it. He diagnosed the problem as me needing a control board. The cooktop worked just fine, the stove just quite working one day. A few days later Elijah called to say that they can't get the part I need and that I would have to buy a new stove. WOW, ok I said. With no choice but to look for a stove, seeing how an oven is a must especially with the holidays approcing, I set out to find a good deal on a new oven. I found one and bought it and it was delivered on the following Monday. I don't know why but there answer for not being able to get the part just didn't feel right. I called GE and they gave me the model number of the part I needed and told me to do a search engine on it. I did and low and behold I found the part they said they couldn't. It's $227 total and I just bought a new stove for $600. Needless to say I wasn't too happy that me a consumer found a part that they couldn't. I called and asked for my money back that I paid to them and they refussed and said I should be happy that I found the part because they couldn't. What is he joking, be happy that I just spent $600 cash..CASH for a new stove, when we are on food stamps and medicaid because my husband got laid off a year ago. We have 3 children that the money could have been used towards. My 5 year old started kindergarden this year and is still in need of clothes, dose he care, no according to him I should be happy that I bought a new stove due to their negligance. He continued to say they tried and that he was glad I found the part and that I should be happy. I just wanted my money back for a job that I think they did inadequetly. A appliance company couldn't find a part, but the consumer did. That just dosn't seem right. I will never use them agian and I will not recommend them to anyone. Call your appliance manufactor directly and get the part number and find it yourself and save some money. In their add they claimed to be a Christian, there was nothing that would make me think they were the image of God or Jesus with the way they treated me. DO NOT USE THEM, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!! read more
