He had no idea what he was doing, pretended like he did until he got the whole dryer taken apart and then said "oh you can't side vent this because there's not a hole here" when there is a knock out clearly marked and it says it in the manual that you can do it. Then he tried to charge me $79 for not knowing what he was doing. When I refused he got very aggressive and more rude. The owner of Carolina Appliances, Billy, came out to service the order and advised that he would order the part and contact me once it arrived. After waiting, I called multiple times to check the status and was repeatedly told someone would call me back, but I never received a response. Eventually, I was informed that my order had been closed and that I would need to submit a new service request. By that time, my warranty had expired. I contacted Carolina Appliances to ask how I could escalate the issue and was told, "How can you escalate above the boss?" Unfortunately, the customer service experience was very disappointing. I normally do not write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience so this does not happen to someone else. If a company tells a customer that a part has been ordered, consumers should be able to trust the technician's word. Mistakes can happen, but as a business, the company should take responsibility, make it right, and reorder the part rather than leaving the customer without support after the warranty expires. Luckily for me, I called Lowe's and they resolved the issue.
