ABC Appliance Repair came out to our house over a month ago for a basic dishwasher repair. We paid a service call fee. They advised they could repair our problem. It has been over one month, and we are still without a . It has been nothing but excuse after excuse, and that is only when we contact them because their communication is absolutely abysmal. I would call the office to find out what is going on, and the office would have no clue, and I would end up getting a text from the service tech with yet another excuse as to why the repair hadn't happened. They made no effort to keep us in the loop or advise why we still don't have the repair they assured us. It has always required us to call the office or the service tech to find out what is going on, only to be provided yet another excuse. Do not use these people. read more

Everything started off ok, with a visit to look at my stove. First, the gentleman misdiagnosed the problem. I only realized it because I asked him if he checked the broil function, which he had not. Turns out, after re-checking, he realized we need a different part / solution. Seemed kind of obvious that you would check all functions but whatever, people make mistakes. Then he disappears for 2 months. I had to text them and call them repeatedly. The lady answering phones is nice enough, but she seemed distracted and did not follow up at any point. Had I not called, repeatedly, I don't think I ever would have heard from them again. She told me several times that they had ordered the part. One more week, one more week, etc. They never told me the cost. So they ordered a part without getting the customers approval for the cost? Seems odd, but whatever, I was willing to get it repaired if the cost was fair. I had spoken to another appliance guy and he quoted me on the work but I told him not to worry, this other group had it covered. Finally, after 2 months, they text me with a quote that is almost 2X the fair price of the work. I am starting over. I blame myself. I should have cut bait much sooner. Nice enough people to speak with, but very disorganized and, in my opinion, over-priced. read more

Great service and communication, I have recommended to family and friends for future needs. I bought a new dishwasher and needed installation as the company I bought from offered delivery only. I submitted the project through yelp and received an immediate reply with a fair quote range and availability. I booked an appointment and the next day received a follow up call confirming the exact amount (within the quoted range). On the day of appointment I received a call/text confirming on the way. Uninstall of the old dishwasher and install of the new dishwasher (including running a test cycle) went smooth. I was worried about my soft wood floors as they are easily scratched and I haven't had to replace big appliances since moving in but there are no scratches or evidence work was done besides a better looking and functioning dishwasher. My relatively new Frigidaire refrigerator has a problem that is endemic to its brand and model. Poor insulation of the coils related to the icemaker. Alex knew that if he repaired my icemaker, the problem would only recur in a few months. And that within a year or so the corrosion could be bad enough that I could need a new fridge. He showed me examples on his phone. I opted to disconnect the icemaker and extend the life of my fridge. Alex walked away with only the diagnostic fee. And my future business, of course. I'm giving them three stars because they were very "average ". I called and made an appointment for Friday and she said they were wide open and had no appointments scheduled that day. I asked for the first appointment so they would be on time. She said "8:00 is your appointment." He showed up at 10:30 with no explanation or apology. Next, I asked them to get the refrigerator in working condition - I was concerned we had issues with the compressor and I also wanted the water and ice maker re-connected. He found the issue with the compressor quickly and said he was all done. When I reminded him about the water and ice maker, he checked his watch and said he would have to come back. He did come back several days later and charged us another $96 to connect them. Yes, the work was completed and the refrigerator is working again but I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone and won't use them again. read more
