I have been getting my hair colored since 13 and aware of the capabilities and limitations, but this is so subpar for $400. Hopefully, it will lighten up after a few washes/will have to go elsewhere to get it corrected. Also, I despise a salon that requires that you purchase a blow dry. $70 extra so I can see what color you turned my hair? Am I supposed to walk out with it wet? The blow dry is not a full, bouncy blowout either. It's what you'd do yourself at your house. Added negative, I referred my mother to the salon and was told by her that I'd receive a referral gift. I didn't mention at checkout because I wanted to see if it was worth coming back to. Unfortunately, I think I'm done here.

No heat protector, no gel, NO PRODUCT anywhere... if I would've known that she was that lazy, I would have just gone to GREAT CLIPS instead b/c I KNOW they would've done a better job. They were responsive and polite and Nicole does a fantastic job on my cut and color. They just got a fresh interior redo so the space is bright, open, and friendly. There's an expanded shopping section full of Moroccan Oil, Amica, and RedKen products. I've been a patron for probably at least five years. I like to change my color and style frequently and I am never disappointed with the end result. I trust their judgement when it comes to color and style. My hair doesn't hold color well, so I've been a little unsure when I've walked out of the salon, like the color is a little dark or the highlights are a little too noticeable, but a few washes later and my hair looks perfect. A couple of times my hair was a little shorter than I had hoped, but again, within a few days, it looks perfect. The salon itself isn't fancy, so you don't get the same spa feel but the space is bright and they use good hair products. The prices are extremely reasonable and you would likely pay more for stylists with the same experience with at another salon. I think the clientele is a reflection of the neighborhood. Sweet little older ladies, moms with their kids, middle age men, etc. I found them because I was looking for a salon that had online booking. They are very accommodating and warm. The waxing service is pretty good.

It's also obviously a family affair since I'm fairly certain I was the only one there who didn't know anyone. But the way they spoke about mutual friends/family was really evident. Everyone knew who they were speaking about. I thought the prices were definitely reasonable. I won't comment on my result since someone doing your hair for the first time is going in blind (and I've had people who have done mine several times come out looking like they're going in blind). But it definitely did look awesome. It's quaint, but they offer you drinks (even wine). My one complaint would be the space is too small. Every station was taken and they were even sharing stations (not in a weird way AT ALL) just to get someone in the chair, in the dryer and in the sink. But overall experience was definitely higher end and I will be back (hopefully with Hannah). I do miss the days of living in the city and having one person completely dedicated to color and another completely dedicated to style...that being said they don't have the space for that so not going to try to say something negative about that.
