I've done years of bleach to my own hair and it was so fried. I decided to take a year break and leave my hair be. I came to Tina feeling so unconfident and wanting to be back to blonde but did not know what to do. At first I wanted to be back to silver, but Tina made sure I knew with bleaching it can be damaging. She make me back to blonde with still keeping the Life and integrity of my hair I worked a year to heal. Tina truly does an amazing job on my hair I will not Trust anyone else. My hair is not only blonde, but natural looking. She makes sure to maintain the health of my hair which is a HUGE importance to me. She does not disappoint and truly takes her time. I love my hair now I get so many compliments and it feels so healthy. I recommend Tina to anyone! I can't say enough about this salon and mainly the most important people in my this review; the stylists. I have been going to Simi, Lisa and Marija since my late teens (so for 40 years) in North Riverside when it was Jon Gianni's Salon and now it's full circle. It's Moda, which I have been to in Riverside where Marija was the owner. Marija moved her salon to Hillside and (all now back to Simi and Lisa). It is so well-organized, clean, very friendly and professionally ran that just a haircut is not a dread anymore but something I look forward to. I have gone to several stylists and have never gotten a bad haircut! They all are great. They will do a consult with you first, ask many questions, and get a feel for what you want. I love that. I have been going to this salon for over 6 years when I was looking to find a salon closer to home with experienced stylists. Tina has always provided wonderful suggestions on both my color, cut and style. I know I can trust Tina, especially as my hair has changed over the years. She has educated me on ways to better care for my hair. My daughter started coming to this salon a few years ago. She has thick hair that would get very knotty. I've been going to Moda Salon since I was a Freshman in Highschool. Now being home from college I go in for a semi permanent color and a couple of highlights. Emily is the best!! Every highschool event like homecoming and prom she has curled my hair to perfection!! I recommend going to her for color and style. Me and her always have great convos and she really cares about her customers. My main goal was to keep my hair thick and shiny, Emily and her team have helped me curate a hair plan to keep my shine locked in. It is about time I wrote this review. Almost two years ago to the day, I relocated to Chicago from out of state. I needed a haircut and by chance chose this salon due to its proximity to my Oak Brook office. What a great piece of luck that turned out to be, because this salon is great. I would not dream of going anywhere else. Maria and her staff made me feel right at home and continue to do that to this day. I took my daughter to see Emily at Moda Salon and she did an amazing job! My daughter said that she loved that Emily took her time and talked her through the whole process! Hefzi does an amazing job at covering up my gray hair! She also highlights my teen daughter's hair in pink or blue or whatever color my daughter feels like. I came in for corrective color. The work they've done on my hair exceed my expectations. Tina was able to bring my color from awful orange with red patches near the roots to beautiful blonde.
