So basically I was already on the hook for the diagnostic and I could either have that deducted from the $270 or pay them the diagnostic and go hire someone else again to diagnose and fix the issue. In my case there was some excess lint in the machine that fit on a paper towel.. it took less than 10 minutes. So I spent $270 to have some lint removed which felt like a rip off but I thought oh well at least it's fixed. Then they said only cash or check, I wanted to use a card so annoying but whatever, I wrote them a check and about a month later they said it didn't go through, I reached out to my bank, no reason it wouldn't go through, but now I have a bill and an extra $35 returned check fee. On top of all this they called me excessively asking for me to post a review, I would assume most reviews are due to that not because people are blown away by the service and feel compelled to share but more so because they don't leave you alone about it.

The Saturday morning before the final appointment, I received another text saying the Monday appointment could not be confirmed, so I had to call Monday morning to get it confirmed. Trying to resolve the billing issue has been equally frustrating. I have spent close to an hour on the phone, spoken with at least four different people, and called during the appointment only to be told that there were 15 callers ahead of me. On August 31, I requested both a written receipt and a review of the $338 bulb charge. I have received neither a receipt nor a return call. I have no complaints about John, the technician, who was professional. My complaint is with Appliance Hospital's pricing, communication, scheduling, and lack of follow-through. I had a fantastic experience with this group…read more Firstly, they were very, very thorough when they came over to take a look at my furnace to setup my heat pump and AC. They went through every single vent in the house, inspected every single nook and cranny to determine what would be needed, including the furnace itself. Secondly, they were very patient in revising their estimates several times after every unnecessary question that I asked them with requests for revisions. Thirdly, they came over exactly at the time specified, got to work right away, were very friendly, and didn't ask for anything.
