I called Tom and asked if he can replace my compressor and he said, " I don't replace compressors." I said, "OK thank you" and hung up the phone. Not long after that he called me back and asked me, "how do you know you need a new compressor?" I told him the story and he was appalled that the "so-called professional" didn't even pull out the refrigerator to take a look. Of course this is my first time dealing with a refrigerator issue so I really didn't know any better. Long story short, Tom was on his way within two hours. He drove an hour to get to my house on a Friday night. Within about 20 minutes he had fixed my refrigerator but wanted to wait a little while to make sure the compressor was regulating the temperature. While we were waiting he took a look at my dryer. (for free!) This took about 20 minutes, then he checked the refrigerator temperature and what do you know the refrigerator/freezer temperature had dropped dramatically! I was quite surprised to say the least. At this point I was a huge skeptic that my very old refrigerator was going to be fixed. Not only did Tom go above and beyond he kindly wore a surgical mask that I provided him. I have a weak immune system so I need to be extra cautious and Tom was more than willing to accommodate my request. Huge points! Tom really knows his stuff. He's a great communicator, trustworthy, genuine, and will be on my speed dial as my "go to guy" for house repairs. I would highly recommend Tom!

After spending so much time researching vendors who may be able to help... I was really happy to have found Trigen Appliance Repaaur. My interaction with Thomas from Trigen from the get go, however, was a completely opposite experience from other vendors I interact with. Thomas was super responsive via any communications mode I had with him, be it yelp messaging, text or phone. I pretty much get a response (and not just canned responses..but rather..customized answers that were specific to my issues) from Thomas within 10-15 minutes. What I liked about Thomas from Trigen is..I think he genuinely cares and is passionate about the work that he does. He isn't all about money..and genuinely wants to help you resolve your issues. In a specific case, when I described my issue to him, he even suggested trying to diagnose something that may allow me to fix the issue without him even coming to service, which was a really nice attitude he had about his line of work. During the fixing process and because of me being a landlord living far away from my property, he updated me the progress and recommendations throughout the steps. Heck, he didn't mind fronting his own money first to obtain a part needed to fix my gas range either. We had a blocked drain line that a contracted (wasn't a direct employee of Appliance ER) technician came out to fix. He was very rough trying to get the lower drawers out of our fridge, Marring the interior of our top of the line Kitchen aid. Not to mention he was much more expensive than another repair we had used this same company for which took much much more time and more parts. we were happy with the care and cost of the previous repair (done by an actual appliance ER employee). Trying to get a fix is like pulling teeth and even when getting insurance information for a claim we are getting incorrect information and "not enough" or not correct information per the insurance company. Several months later I give up and am writing reviews of our bad experience. With all of this said, make sure you have documentation of your condition of appliance before time and ask for an estimate ahead of time being that apparently it can vary WILDLY!
