I have good insurance and it was going to cost me 10,000.00 dollars. WHAT!!! An appointment was scheduled for a week later (today) to have to molars extracted because they were "infected." I have autoimmunes and the office wanted confirmation from my rheumatologist for medical clearance and do I need antibiotics prior to the appointment. Monday, I reached out to my rheumatalogist via email letting her know what was needed and why. She had no problem with talking to the dentist office letting me know what she has relayed to them. I took a day off of work, show up today at scheduled time only to be told the appointment had been cancelled. I was told they called my cell phone and left a long message as to why the appointment was being cancelled-lie. They never called my cell, home, or work number. They stated the reason for cancellation was due to my rheumatologist failing to respond to their messages-lie. I even told the lady how I communicated with my doctor, she stated oh well yes they did correspond that but then blah, blah, blah...lie. I will not endorse a place that will lie and be deceitful to new customers. I was willing to give them a chance based on how the dental hygienist treated me. But I DO NOT recommend them. If you want to be treated disrespectfully and drain your wallet go right ahead.

One didnt know what the bony tori in my mouth even was....might need more training. The other didnt care and continued to insist I bite on the x ray film with all my might even when I told her it feels like Im biting on razor blades. She grabbed me by the fat under my chin, shook it and told me that if I would just relax it wouldn't hurt.....you cant relax a bone to my knowledge.My mouth was all torn up by the time I left there. One tech did an additional xray without covering my body with the apron. My mouth hurt for 10 days, but I didnt think too much of it because the xray films were cutting me up. I noticed what I thought was a canker sore on the tori and decided I was going to take off the little white piece because it wasn't healing up..... Lo and behold! It wasn't a canker sore...it was a shard of what was probably tooth material embedded in my gums! Lots of blood came out of the hole and up from my gums under the tooth once I removed it. But man! My mouth felt much better after that! Im sure this isn't the way they typically work, but it was my personal experience. Wish I had a better story to tell!

The new hygienists he has are more worried with each other than with interacting with the patient. Dr. Pilgrim himself also needs to learn what is and is not appropriate to say to patients. Making comments regarding a patients age when choosing to have children is inappropriate. I, for one, go to the dentist for care of my teeth and not to be told I'm crazy for having children at my age. When the issue was brought up with staff, it was dismissed as a joke that I did not take well. "Sorry you feel that way" is not an apology.
