Alpine is my favorite to-go place for bagels on campus. It's the only place on campus to get bagels but it's the only place I would go even if there was another place. The service is quick and even if it takes a long time to prepare your order, you know the employees are working as fast as they can. I would recommend alpine to anyone visiting campus. My favorites are the Good Morning camper, Lox and Cream Cheese, and the Triple Club. Don't forget to ask for an extra pickle!

Awesome bagel and sandwich shop on campus. It was my favorite place grab a bite to eat of all the campus dining options. Lines get incredibly long during the lunch rush, but it's definitely worth it if you have 15-20 minutes to spare. Quality can vary because I think the employees (college students) have a high turn-over rate, but they get it right most of the time. I love the Lox and Cream Cheese, John Wayne (roast beef), Mile High Club (turkey and bacon), Triple Club, and New Yorker. Their orange juice is to die for, though costs a pretty penny since its freshly squeezed. The salads are loaded with all the stuff that makes salads good (not just shredded lettuce), and are definitely meal worthy. Since it's in the Student Union, sometimes it's hard to find a place to eat right there (and it's pretty loud anyway). Go explore and eat a signature bagel at one of the many nearby beautiful places at UNC.

Great place to eat on UNC campus. My favorites are the Triple Club and the Good Morning Camper. Staff is always nice!

Bagels are so good. However, I come here multiple times a week and a majority of the workers are so mean.

Egg, cheese, cream cheese, peppered bacon on a toasted bagel is the way to start your day. This location is located in a busy shopping plaza with Trader Joe's and Aldis. I've been a long-time customer, even back when they still had the Bruegger's Choice sandwich but my girl and I will probably never return - at least at this particular location. When we went around 8AM on a Saturday, there wasn't a big line but it took longer than expected to complete our order because there were only 3 employees (2 in front, 1 in the back). But that's not even the first disappointing thing. When we asked to order 2 Westerns with extra egg each and the cheesy hashbrowns, the sandwichmaker said that they're sold out of the hashbrowns. That's basic breakfast staple and it's out...or maybe they just don't want to make it because of understaffing issue. While the line wasn't so long when we were on the line it got longer while we were eating inside. So long to the point the line reached outside of the building. The lady at the cashier told the customers, "There's only 3 of us here, so bare with us." twice, which is just unprofessional customer service and bad management. The hazelnut coffee was good - we ordered a couple of Medium-sized, but the coffee ran out and we didn't bother to ask because the employees were so busy, struggling to serve the long line of customers. While the Western sandwiches are still good for the most part, especially with fresh garlic and everything bagel, it seems to be lacking of sauce or cream cheese. In a previous experience, they forgot to add extra eggs to our breakfast sandwiches. While the sandwichmaker remade them with the extra eggs, she asked to donate our first sandwiches. The glory days of Bruegger's might be over but I still hope they can get back to the special breakfast spot we remember. The ambiance looks small, simple, and clean with some seats outside - just right for this kind of bagel spot. They will need to improve customer service, food and drink availability, and just slightly upgrade overall food quality.

I've gotten three of their vegan bagel options, the vegan Kimchi Lox, the Lebanese Spicy Tofu, and the Vegan Bahn Mi. I think that the food isn't exceptional, but it's filling & again, they have some well done vegan options. The Lebanese Spicy Tofu was definitely the best of the three (but a big mess, beware!). The Vegan Bahn Mi (pictured) was good, but maybe a bit underseasoned. The vegan Kimchi Lox is of course also quite messy, but of course doesn't have any protein on it. In our experience, it's best to just order online, and then go pick it up at the time (due to the wait time). We will often get coffee at Liturgy or Foster, and then just walk over when it's time. It's inside Durham Food Hall, which is, unfortunately, always quite loud, but there are tables outside and a park nearby you can sit at if you'd prefer. Overall, one of the better vegan options in the food hall.

I got the chicken katsu: the chicken and the Togarashi sesame bagel itself were great; I think the sauce could be less sweet and more spicy. The hall seemed busy but my food was ready by the time I finished ordering a drink from another vendor. Very convenient spot with AC, seating, free wifi, and clean bathrooms to fuel up before my hike. If I ever come back to North Carolina, this is definitely on my list to revisit.
