I placed an order this morning for 18 bagels and a large container of coffee to go, totaling $53.15. The staff was friendly, and I added a $3.85 tip to bring the total to $57. After the transaction was complete, I asked for a cup of water and was surprised to be told it would cost an additional 25 cents. I understand that cups have a cost and employees may simply be following store policy, but charging a customer another quarter for water after a $50+ purchase--and after receiving a tip--felt unnecessarily petty. The store was busy, so I did not ask to speak with a manager at the time. However, I hope management reconsiders this policy or gives employees discretion in situations like this. It is a very small amount of money, but the principle and customer experience matter. Honestly, take the 25 cents out of my tip rather than making a paying customer complete another transaction for a cup of water. Unfortunately, something this minor has left enough of a negative impression that I will likely take my future business elsewhere. read more

First time here stood in line for 8 minutes no one acknowledged me. A older white couple join the line they get acknowledged and order taken before me. There was a panel right at the entrance asking me to download the Bruegger's Bagels app, but order ahead was not available at this location, which was misinformation to future customers. The employee had no idea how the Bruegger's Bagels rewards program worked, which again wasted my time ordering. Second time visiting since covid. They're following social distancing protocol and not only limiting capacity, but have scaled back their table seating to just a few. The employees are wearing masks and gloves and customers must wear masks too. If dining in and need a drink refill they give you a brand new cup. They no longer have a carafe of half and half on the side counter but individual creamers. Wooden stirrers, sugar and sweetener, napkins, and plastic knives available there too. The employees are super friendly, patient, and work at their usual quick pace to fill orders. I don't know if tables are being sanitized after every customer as the signs by them state since the one I choose had lots of crumbs on it. read more

It was chill... i mean... straight up chill. I didn't sweat the temp as I was hungry and the sandwich was the answer to my prayers. Overall the sandwich was good. Been going for years!! Reliable menu. Food is great! a favorite is a cream cheese and lox sandwich. The reason for 4. Stars instead of 5 is that the ambience isn't so good. Not enough space and perhaps short staffed. Even at non rushed times the tables aren't bussed frequently and cafetería style line staff are friendly yet too busy. The square footage of the building seems too small. The bagels and cheeses are superior and variety of sandwiches are great! Self serve coffees are very good quality as well. read more

Bruegger's started out next to my hometown in Upstate New York, so I hold this place near and dear to my stomach! I grew up at this what used to be a local chain in NY, but is now all over the US of A. When you move far away from home, you miss the foods the most! So I was beyond thrill to see that my new city has multiple Bruegger's locations. The bagels are not exactly NYC style, but they are very good and probably very high quality for the south. I popped into this location on a Sunday morning around 7:45 am and it was pretty quiet. The people working at the counter were very friendly and efficient. A slow Bruegger's can be awful, I've experienced plenty. There are so many great flavors to choose from, but if you can get a hot bagel that is the best treat ever. I can eat one of those without anything on it, it's that good. There are numerous cream cheeses to pick from as well and also breakfast sandwiches. I didn't notice if this spot sells the lunch sandwiches, but if they do, that's a great fast food alternative. This location offers seating inside and out. I'll be back! read more

I went during a time it wasn't super busy. I told the person behind the counter I had a special request. I don't like egg whites and they fry their eggs. I asked could I get my egg scrambled before they cook it. They guy just looked at me and the girl told me that they somewhat scramble it and I said but there is a lot of egg whites in there. They said that is how they make it. I told them I have been to a few different Brugger's and they usually do it for me. She just walked away. So I just got 2 toasted asiago bagels instead. I have never been let down by Bruegger's Bagels and this location is no exception. This location is conveniently located in the Walmart plaza and has plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is roomy and has a good number of tables and chairs. However, we went during social distancing so there was no indoor seating at the team. We ordered a baker's dozen of bagels. It's a great deal coming in at about $10. Plus, they offer free freezer bags to save any bagels we couldn't eat right away. I'm a big fan of the quality of bagel at Bruegger's. I think it's got a delightful texture and is a good size. My personal favorite is the Bruegger's Rosemary Olive Oil Bagel. The service here was great. The server was super fast at helping us pick out bagels, and she was great at giving recommendations. I will definitely be back. read more

Was very excited to get them and some iced coffee, but was surprised to find my order with hot coffee (it was already 93F out). We were running late so we could not change them out. We ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese, and a sausage egg cream cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The bagels were great with ample amounts of cream cheese! The egg on the sandwich tasted old and/or overcooked which made it hard to enjoy the other aspects of the sandwich. Loss of one star for the switch of coffees, and loss for the egg. This is the closest Bruegger's to my office and I've popped in on occasion for a breakfast bagel. Too bad they don't have the Sriracha bagel sandwich anymore, that was my favorite. Bruegger's is usually dependable for their food and coffee, so you'll get the same menu items here you see in most other Bruegger's. I am immuno-compromised and requested curb-side pickup, especially since the people working at this location are not masked. The first time, I called when I arrived and they told me it would be 15 minutes, even though I ordered ahead of time! They finally brought the order to me. The second time, I spoke with Laura, the manager, to do another curbside order. She told me that they were very busy and could not accommodate me. She was very rude when speaking to me. I went to the Surles Court location and noticed that there were absolutely no customers in the store! In addition, there were three servers behind the counter, one stationed at the register. I quickly ordered bagels and coffee to go. The coffee was lukewarm. I would not patronize this location (nor the one at Briar Chapel, which is also not very customer oriented). The bagels are very small, and the coffee is always lukewarm, even though I request hot coffee each time. Also, the managers, especially the one at Surles Court, are rude. There are plenty of wonderful bagel places in the area to patronize, especially if you want regular size bagels, hot coffee, and pleasant and courteous customer service. read more

First, let me say the place was very clean and the service was fast and friendly. We each ordered a bagel with cream cheese. I got the onion bagel with the garlic and chive cream cheese. It was very good. My only complaint is that I expected about three times the amount of cream cheese. The bagel was a little dry with such a thin spread. I had been expecting a bagel with tons of cream cheese - as shown in the onion bagel scene in The Devil Wears Prada - the cream cheese in the middle is as thick or thicker than the bagel slices on either side. Our company provides breakfast every Friday for our employees. Usually donuts and bagels. I used to go to Bruegger's in Apex on my way into work until they closed down at the beginning of COVID. Since it was no longer on my way to work I stopped picking up bagels and left it at donuts. A few months back I decided I was going to go out of my way a bit and go to this Bruegger's location. Unlike the Apex location, I was amazed at how quickly I was able to get my large order and the pleasantness of the staff. Our employees missed having the switch up from the donuts and welcomed the bagels. I have been and will be purchasing from this store at least once a month. Totally worth the trip. read more

I don't think all Bruegger's Bagel Bakeries are created alike, as some I do not care much for, but I do like this one, located off of 54 in Durham near the Morrisville line. It's pretty new for one thing, and they have a nice layout going on there. Also the employees are friendly and will get you taken care of pretty fast. I haven't actually been there for breakfast yet, but I have been there a few times for lunch. I really like their artisan sandwiches such as pastrami and Swiss on rye. I also like that you can get a half sandwich with soup as they have really good soups also. Now I just need to try the bagels here... read more

Stopped in here last week en route to work. My sugar was low so I opted to be late and get some Bruegger's to save me from (or for?) the day. The staff was not only fast and friendly, but careful to get my order right. God bless them for not being able to hear me well and asking me to repeat some things to get it right. My sausage, egg, and cheese bagel was done well and I finally got back on track for a good work day with those folks in the back of my mind. This Bruegger's location opened in fall 2010 and has been splendid since the beginning. The food is yummy and a great value. My favorite treats? The Better Bacon Cheddar (bacon, egg, cheddar, light herb-garlic cream cheese) on an Asiago Parmesan bagel or a sesame bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese. Don't forget the coffee! I've spent a lot of time here lately. It almost qualifies as my home away from home. Free wi-fi is available if you have work or studying to do. The staff here is simply awesome! It's bagels - probably the best in the area, but Brueggers bagels are always harder and chewier than I like. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 7 - better than most others, but nowhere near as good as Einsteins, Noah's, or Finagle-a-Bagel (none of which, sadly, have franchises/stores in the triangle.)
