While you think Dr. B is a happy-go-lucky nice guy, have a complaint and he turns into a pretty nasty, petulant dentist. I will never return to this dentist who is an actor about being happy- well, he is happy because he's taking your money. If he makes a mistake and must fix it, he is irate and rude. I was shocked at his unprofessional and juvenile behavior. Because of his Jekyll & Hyde disposition, you couldn't get me to go close to that office. I don't trust him. My out-of-pocket expenses are OK, I have no insurance. I was actually talked into having a cap on a beautiful white tooth. This was right after he did a crown on one tooth and it cracked right away so I had to go back to have it re-done. The shots, the time, the drilling AGAIN. Then he talked me in to doing the tooth next to it because it had a crack. It had that line crack in it for many, many years and I'm sure I had many more years with it but he insisted so I agreed. I'd have the two teeth next to each other done at the same time. He did the caps and the one in front, the visible one, was YELLOW. I mean YELLOW. I couldn't even smile without covering my mouth. I pointed this out to him a few weeks later and he accused me of whitening my teeth. That didn't happen and I pointed out that I was always complimented on having such white teeth by his staff. He was irate and I believe knew he wouldn't have won a case in small claims so he said he would re-do the cap BUT he had to order the right color materials because he did not carry them. WELL- if he didn't carry them then how could he have matched my color teeth with white? He couldn't. That's why he planted a yellow cap in my mouth because that's the only color/s he had. I can't tell you what a nightmare experience it was after he started working on my mouth a few months later THEN KNOWING he was irate. He never said one word to me. Not hi. Not what do you think after it was done. Not one. WOW. It was his assistant who did the talking. Well, it's done, I had to wait 2 months to get it done after he had the materials on hand. I honestly can't believe he doesn't carry the right colors for all teeth but obviously he doesn't. Be aware. read more

Alpine Dentistry has been a wonderful experience through and through until Dr. Krause sold said business late last year. It was kept quiet as most business deals are until it's a done deal. I get that. However, with all the above being accurate, I have "Delta Dental Premier" in which it was unceremoniously dropped the moment ownership changed. That changed everything when Dr. B took the helm due to the fact that he is not a Delta Premier approved doctor. You have a buyer-seller and the patient -- a unilateral move was made without any notice. With that said, I was down to the last quarter of the year and a plan set and appointments made. My entire family was being worked on. If Dr. Krause were there , my dental insurance coverage would have paid 100% straight to Alpine Dentistry. Since they abruptly discontinued Delta Premier due to ownership change and the timing of it all, as coverage is calendar year to calendar year I was forced to pay out roughly $1,000 out of pocket that I would not have had to pay had the buyer and seller had a contingency plan for there Delta Premier Patients. Or no sale had occurred, but it did, and Alpine Dentistry allowed for the patient to financially suffer over their sale which is just flat poor business educate. The staff has been outright rude and would not take my wife in to finish two crowns if she did not pay for "my alleged balance". We were forced and I intend to take legal action so no other patient has to go through these types of issues. read more

I had been going to see Dr. B at Alpine Dentistry for about 2 years. Sadly, my insurance changed and they are no loner an in-network provider. I'm really bummed out that I have to find a new dentist. I drove 30 minutes each way to come here because they are all simply, that good. I was worried when I first went to see Dr. B, that I would be "told" that I needed a lot of work done since I had not been to a dentist in a while. A previous dentist tried to push me into a bunch of work that wasn't needed. Dr. B is honest and I trust him and his staff. Plus, if you are getting work done, you get to put head phones on and watch T.V. to drown out the noise. :) read more

I have been working with our insurance for over 15 years, I am very understanding when it comes to being told our insurance is out of network (I get it because it's military insurance, I've dealt with it for years), but when I scheduled this appt the practice manager, as she calls herself, never informed me we were out of network, and she actually stated and quote "they pay pretty well". When I received a bill for $400 (not including the $300 I already paid) for CLEANING on 2 kids, I was outraged. When I refused to pay because I felt as if I was lied to and taken advantage of, I was sent a letter telling me she did have this conversation with me, but she did not until after I received this unforeseen bill in the mail. She also just attached the letter I signed that I am responsible for any bill accrued..yes, I understand I am responsible to which I already paid $300. I feel as if this dentistry takes advantage of people and charges amounts that are obscene for any one and will not work with you and own up to their own mistakes. It's poor customer service and I would not recommend any one to this business. I have never had this issue with any dentist I have ever worked with in the past, too bad it starts now with a small town. read more

The change over from Dr K to Dr B has been unprofessional and brutal. Lies and deep disappointment are two words that best describe this change. All the long standing patients that have Delta Dental have been dropped due to Dr. B's decision not to be part of the Network. I discovered this clarification after talking to the actual Delta Dental Insurance Representative which is NOT what Janet told me. Dr B is a fabulous dentist and great with children. This is why it has been devastating to be forced to leave under such dark circumstances. read more

I've been going to Dr. B for about a year now and I can honestly say I'm very satisfied with my experiences here. Dr. B is friendly and personable and gets straight down to business when you are having work done. Other than checking with me to ensure I was comfortable throughout my procedure he was not concentrating on making small talk. He and his assistant were focused entirely on their work and that is exactly what I want to see. Dr. B and his assistant barely needed to speak to each other while working on my fillings. They each knew exactly what was needed when, and in what order. Dr. B and his staff are clearly very competent and experienced. The efficient and precise nature with which this office is run has also contributed to me spending very little time waiting. I was a little surprised to see some one star reviews in here but they all appear to be related to insurance issues. They accept my insurance so unless that changes I can't think of a single reason to give these guys anything less than five stars. read more

Dr. Robert D Krause and Dr. Jonar Bonifacio are outstanding dentist. I always see Dr. Bonifacio. This has too be the friendliest Dental office I've been too. Not only do they know what they are doing, they have all the top end stuff like TVs and MP3 players in every room. He is a great dentist for children as well. 100% recommend! read more

This place makes going to the dentist a pleasure. I've had a few visits here now and they exceed my expectations every time. If you have amalgam (aka silver) fillings that need to be removed, this is the place to go. They seem to be one of the few dentists in the area that understand mercury toxicity and have the proper equipment to remove it. They are very friendly and professional. I don't even feel it when I get the numbing shots in my gums here. No pain during drilling, but they were always concerned for my comfort. We initially selected them because of the technology (crowns in one visit), but we stay because they are fantastic, caring and talented people. Alpine Dentistry is hands down the best dental practice that you can put your trust in! They will always put your best interest and not the bottom line first. Dr. Bonifacio is EXCELLENT and extremely personable and will put even the most nervous at ease. The entire team for that matter is wonderful. When you are there, you can rest assured that you are in the care of a knowledgeable, professional team. The practice is impeccably clean and set up for the patient's comfort. You have the option to watch tv, and listen to it with headphones if you so choose. You are treated with respect for your time as it is not the pack a bunch of patients in and make them wait style of practice. Every patient is important to Dr. B and his team. I am very disappointed in the way Alpine Dentistry has handled the change in ownership for existing Delta Premier patients. I was notified less than 24 hours before my appointment that Dr. Bonifacio was no longer part of Delta Premier even though they were aware of it for over a month. I was told I would not have to pay anything at my appointment and that they would "settle up" once I was reimbursed by Delta. They couldn't even give me an estimate as to how much my portion would be so that I could make an informed decision. I make my appointments during my vacations, 6+ months in advance because I don't have a many options for appointment times. It is not easy to find an appointment last minute that will work with my schedule. I went ahead with the cleaning, but I still don't know what it will cost me. I did cancel the check-up and x-rays because they couldn't tell me what it would cost, although I have full coverage with Delta. Dr. B. could have handled this in so many other ways. He could have said (due to such short notice) that he would accept whatever Delta paid for this appointment; he could have given me more warning (he had a letter prepared); he could have grandfathered the Delta patients in and not accepted new ones. Now I will be searching for a new dentist along with the rest of my family. Alpine Dentistry has just lost 4 patients and many more to come as I have already talked to another family that shared my experience. read more
