Second time eating here and both times I was disappointed. The food was decent, but the to-go service was terrible. The first time they did not provide any utensils and very minimal toppings for the Pho. Second time we ordered to go, when I picked up my order, I asked the lady at the counter if utensils were in the bag, she said they were. I checked the back once I got back to the car and once again... no utensils. It especially sucks eating Pho with no chop sticks so this really tainted my experience here both times. Secondly, every other Pho restaurant I've ever had take out from provides the Pho in a bowl and then you just pour the hot broth over it... this place put it in a square take out container. If you don't have a larger bowl to put it in, you'll have to make little portions at a time. Lastly, they gave us one small siracha packet for two Pho's. Come on guys let's not try to cut costs at the expense of ruining customers experience. I really hope they figure it out, but if they don't I'll be more than happy to drive down the hill to a real Pho restaurant. Overall food was averages, but these small things ruined my experience. I'd probably give them one more try before I start going back to my old spot. read more

Stopped by to try the food. We ordered the skewered and egg rolls to start. The pork skewered and the egg rolls were tasty. I ordered a Bahn Mi and my partner ordered Pho. When the food came out I was advised that there was no bread. I waited about 20 minutes while my partners food was delivered to be told my order was not able to be fulfilled. We've been hankering for more good international food in Alpine so we were thrilled to see this place open. We ordered bahn mi sandwiches and the fresh spring rolls. The bread was crusty, like good French bread should be. The meat was juicy and flavorful; the marinade really comes through. Based on our previous experiences with authentic Vietnamese cuisine, these sandwiches were the genuine article, even a little better than what we've had before. The spring rolls included big and juicy shrimp, with a refreshing burst of mint. The only thing was that we asked, and paid for, pate on the grilled pork bahn mi, but it didn't make it. It could've been an oversight because they were due to close soon, but we were disappointed. It's nice to have a Pho restaurant in town. I ordered online. It was very easy. The staff is still trying to get a flow of things. It was busy when I arrived. I took my mom here for an early Mother's Day lunch. The service and food are incredible. Our waitresses and all the staff are so kind and attentive. We were well taken care of. Everything is so fresh and delicious! They also do take out. This time we got the Vermicelli with grilled pork, the tropical fruit dessert, and the shrimp Spring rolls! Last time I got a pork and shrimp banh mi! I can't wait to come back. What the con hẻo- pho in Alpine? No way! I had zero hopes the food was good. I ordered a lot to give this a well rounded write up. I ordered pho in a hot pot bowl. I wonder what the hype was. It's an advance method of eating pho. Everything comes on the side, even the noodles. So I guess some people like it aldente. And some even like the meat rare. So, I guess this works. However, don't get alarmed. Even the veggies come out frozen. You have to throw it in the broth. The flavors were very authentic. We ordered the spring rolls. It rolled out delicious. We ordered the crispy tofu. It was under seasoned, but good to the last bite. We ordered the egg rolls and it was 7 out of 10. Ok here comes the con. First, they were only a week old so they're working out the kinks. They have "all new young workers." They could use some food service training. My order was screwed up and some food never came out. I had to get it to-go but somehow it was not in my to-go order. And that's why I took away 2 stars, but I gave them 1 star back because the food was great. Especially in Alpine. read more

We tried the new Alpine Pho today for lunch. Delicious hot egg rolls and steamy pho, perfect for a chilly day in the foothills. We also tried the matcha and the tropical teas. Excellent. Nice menu variety, large portions, healthy, fresh ingredients, and the restaurant is tastefully decorated and sparkling clean. Service was very attentive. We liked the nice touch of our own water carafes for convenience. Highly recommend and we will be eating here often. So happy there is a new healthy option for dining in Alpine! read more

I asked if my rice with chicken came fried or as white rice. They told me fried, but it was not. The staff seem distracted and when I asked to get fried rice or a possible refund, I was yelled at. The food has been amazing each time so far! I've ordered the filet Pho, house fried rice, house/combo egg noodle stir fry and pork vermicelli. Each dish has been full of flavor and delicious! The wait was a little long the first time I went, but they had only been open a week. Went again today and ordered ahead online - food was ready in only 10-15 minutes and when I walked in to pick it up the place was PACKED! I'm so excited to have this in Alpine! read more

We were in Alpine for my daughters softball game and just happened to drive by and see there was a Pho shop and decided to give it a shot; I am glad we did ! Their springrolls were fresh and authentic, with the right greens and fresh shrimp. The egg rolls were also delicious with good flavor and filling with the right amount of crunch. My husband had the Pho dip and loved the broth and the meat was delicious. The star was definitely their ube Vietnamese coffee, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, just the right amount of sweet and the coffee again was authentic. We will definitely be back to try out more dishes when in the area. read more

Giving 3 stars solely due to the service & unprofessional staff. There was like 5 late teen/early 20's staff members bickering like siblings behind the front counter. If you order online you will not get your food at the time it states it will be done and it will be missing items. Do not waste your time with this place. Head down to "street pho grill" in Santee. We had the pho dip and it was so delicious. It's like a French dip but the bread was fresh and crunchy loaded with delicious meat and fresh vegetables. The broth that came with it was so good. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back to try more. read more

This was the WORST experience I have ever had. We went to eat there to see if it was a good place to go near the mountains. When we got there we were told to sit anywhere and we did. about 10 min of sitting there, we ordered our food and got some water and another drink. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. many people were coming in after we did and they got there food before we did. When we finally got our waitress attention, after being there 25 min already with no food. We asked the waitress when will we get our order food, she said it was coming right up, in the mean time more people came in and were served before we were served. another 15-20 min later we got the attention of another server, and we told him that we have been waiting 45 min already and still haven't received our food yet, yet others that came way after we got there, were being served the food they ordered (there are no reservations). We were even asked what server took our order, and I told them and still no food. We will NEVER go back there and will discourage any one else from going there. The worst part is, they tell people to sit anywhere, yet there is no one watching who sits where or how long someone has been wait, it was total chaos, but Im sure those that got served soon after they got there were happy with the service, but lots of tables were waiting for a long time as well.
