I understand I'm not a Platinum or Infinity Viejas Players Rewards Member, nor do I expect any special treatment or preferential service. However, I do expect a restaurant to provide reasonable and accurate expectations for takeout orders. If the kitchen is experiencing unusually long wait times, cashiers should communicate realistic pickup estimates rather than quote times they cannot meet. On this particular Saturday evening, we placed a takeout order at Ginger Noodle Bar at 7:50 PM. Our cashier, Cheryl, advised us that our order would be ready in approximately 15 minutes. Unfortunately, our food was not available until 8:35 PM--about 30 minutes beyond the promised pickup time. The experience became even more frustrating as we stood at the pickup counter waiting for our order, repeatedly asking whether the dishes coming out of the kitchen belonged to us. When our food finally arrived, it was placed in the designated pickup area without anyone notifying us, despite us and another couple standing there clearly waiting for delayed orders. This lack of communication added unnecessarily to the frustration, especially since we were missing the live band performance on the opposite side of the casino while waiting. To be fair, the food itself was exactly as expected. We ordered the Bo Luc Lac and Kung Pao Chicken, and both dishes were served hot, fresh, flavorful, and properly prepared. The order was complete with plenty of napkins, chopsticks, utensils, and fortune cookies. Unfortunately, good food alone could not make up for the excessive wait time and poor communication surrounding our pickup. We ordered takeout expecting to enjoy our meal while taking in the casino's entertainment, but instead spent nearly 45 minutes waiting for food that was promised in 15. Because of this experience, I find it difficult to give a stronger recommendation, and future guests ordering takeout should be prepared for the possibility that quoted pickup times may not accurately reflect actual wait times. read more

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner. We places our order at the counter and they gave is a number to put on our table. We had the wonton noodle soup which had a very tasty broth with lots of vegetables, which I like. The spicy thai fried rice was spicy for me but my mom loved it. Ate lunch here today since we had this group tour at Viejas. The stars are for the friendly service and clean place to sit down and eat. The food is forgettable and it's sad because that's my kind of food. I ordered the Vegetable Egg Roll ($8) which comes out as 4 egg rolls with sweet chili dipping sauce. Egg rolls came quickly cooked alright, but the veggies are thinly sliced which is bland. The chili dipping sauce didn't help either. The Pork Adobo which comes with a cup of rice ($16) looked tasty and the serving was huge! That's about it. The meat was tender but a lot of fat and oh wow...that's not the pork adobo I know. The service was a bit slow during a time the restaurant was not very busy. The fried rice was fair at best. I have had better. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls were not good at all. The meat used in the fried rice and spring rolls was a bit tough. There is a 15% discount for veterans with a Viejas Heroes Club card, available to all U.S. military veterans. There's a wait to get in. Not long but a small line. Went here on a Saturday afternoon. The cashier was a nice lady who was patient and helped us out with questions. You order at the register, and sit yourself type of small restaurant. Once you order, they just drop off the food. That's it. No one will come to your table, if you need anything just get up and ask the counter. The food came out about 5-10mins. The plate was smaller than expected. Not a lot of vegetables. Simple and plain. We thought that we would have General Tso's Chicken and Beef and Broccoli, plus Vegetable Egg Rolls, Yang Chow Fried Rice with Shrimp; and also a side of Noodles. Gonzalo also got a specialty soup, which had tree branches coming out of it. He had it last time and loved it!!! The pork adobo is bomb! Just like my family makes, a bug serving with pepper corns, fatty pieces of pork with a soy sauce vinegar base. The only thing missing is the bay leaves to pick out. But once we sat down, it took 10 mins to get our food. We got beef pho ($12) and beef Chinese drunken noodles ($15). My fiancé who is very particular with his pho and sensitive to msg, actually enjoyed the pho. He's had it twice here and it was my first time. When the server brought the bowl out, I could smell the aroma. Then I took a sip of the broth and not bad. $12 price point is actually pretty good too. They also give a ton of noodles. It came with limes, bean sprouts and basil. We asked for an empty small bowl so that I could share. On the other hand, the drunken noodles were bland with no flavor. Basically just plain noodles and the chef forgot to add in oyster sauce and spices. I took it home and added spices myself. For water, they give out free mini Viejas water bottles. If you need take out containers, it's on in the corner. Overall, don't come during rush hour if you're hungry. Otherwise, you're expected to wait. Saw a lot of take out orders being prep too. As far as service, it's just the line that's long if it's during rush hour when tables are full. They had 8 people in the kitchen and I think they did a great job keeping up with demand. I Do not recommend this place. My bf and I dined there this past Friday. He ate the seafood pan fried noodles and became very sick from food poisoning. It's Tuesday and he remains sick. His symps includes vomit , the sweats, nausea, cramps, diarrhea, body weakness. A complaint will be filed with the health department. We ended up getting the pan-fried noodles and chicken katsu. Both dishes satisfied my craving, to say the least. I would order them again. If they had 1/2 star ratings, I would've given them 3 1/2 stars for the food. I gave 4 stars, because the lady who took our order was super chipper and made me feel welcome! A intriguing option in the newer expanded area inside Viejas casino. There was definitely a lack of express service type meals inside so this is nice to have. Especially family friendly places. Before, we would have to walk across the street to the outlets food court to get something quick and easy. Most of the time we have our daughter in tow, so can't go everywhere inside the casino being that she's under age. We can bring her here, although the question is, will she like anything here? I do the scouting normally first. She hasn't been here yet.. I'm in the process of trying various items to see what they will like on the menu. Haven't been disappointed yet at all. Found at least 2 items she should like. Ramens have been prepared well and the pad thai noodles are a good choice so far. Service has been quick and not so quick, been mostly lucky though. First it's a stand in line, order and pay, then sit down and get served kind of place. When the food came it was hot and a nice sized portion (only reason I'm giving 2 stars) the flavor was gross. There's some kind of mush on it (maybe egg) tasted nasty. Noodles tasted old.
