    Organic alpine valley breadfor $1.50
    Rowelyn P.

I love coming to their bread outlet here! They sell Organic Alpine Valley bread and Dave's bread for a great deal! I come here to stock up on their $1 or $1.50 bread loaves when my freezer can hold 3-5 extra loaves. They usually have hawaiian rolls, burger and hotdog buns as well! . It is a little further than I'd like (on southern just east of AZ Ave) but I usually make a trip to the nearby Bookmans when I come here! . I have seen tastykakes treats, Mrs. Freshly, hostess, jams and jelly. Sometimes they'll have artisan loaves but it goes fast! . My recommendation..plan ahead, talk to some friends/neighbors and see if they would like you to p/u some bread for them when you go. Chances are for that price they would say yes and you will get brownie points for your nice deed! Win/win! . Don't forget you can freeze bread too!

In my Oprah voice. "I..LOVE...BREAD!" This Place has been around for a while an for some reason, I never knew it existed. The aromatics I'd bread always catches my attention. So one day, I stopped by to see what the beautiful smells were about. When you walk in, it's a convenience section where they sell their breads along with other store like things (candy, drinks, chips, etc). In addition, they also carry Dave's Killer Bread, which most happen to be vegan friendly, so bet I purchased like 15. The cost here is low because the bread is what they call "imperfect," so they don't sell it in the store. The price is about $2-3 for a whole loaf of fine quality bread. Definitely check this place out if you're on a budget or just want to enjoy some bomb bread from both companies.

Ummmm....what?! $0.50 a load for Dave's Killer Bread. Why am I just learning about this place? I was cruising down Southern and I was overtaken by the smell of fresh baked bread. Then out of nowhere appears this giant bakery/distribution center with Alpine Valley Bread signage festooned on the building skin. Almost blending in with the landscape is a small storefront with discounted bread. I pulled a U and stopped in. I was not sure what to expect when I walked in but I rubbed my eyes as I thought I was reading the prices incorrectly. $0.50-$1.50 for bread that sells in the store for $5+ a loaf. I bagged a few loaves and looked around to see what else was for sale; some pastries, jam/marmalade, soft drinks, and few other things. I think I just found my favorite place for bread.

Walking in the girls working that day were so friendly and helpful. I ordered an assortment of pastries. Cinnamon roll, strawberry puff pastry, chocolate chip cookie, cupcake, strawberry cream pastry and pistachio cream filled pastry. Prices are fair and there's so many options to choose from it's a bit overwhelming because I'm indecisive and want to try everything lol The pastries were all fresh and the ingredients were as well. The cream fillings in the pastries were fluffy and light. I wish the strawberry choux bun had a stronger strawberry flavor as it really tasted like just cream as well as the pistachio pastry. I'll have to try a mini pie and other goods next time I'm around!

We ordered a few different things to give a fair review, and honestly overall this place is just ok. Not horrible, just not that great. We had.. *sausage roll * ham and Swiss *cinnamon roll (regular) *cookies and cream cup cake *raspberry pop tart *chocolate chip cookie Sausage roll pastry dough was good, but the meat inside was not very flavorful. Ham and Swiss, the ham was just a single thin slice of deli meat. The cinnamon roll also missing something... maybe more sugar and better quality cinnamon? Perhaps salt in the dough? I'm not sure how they prepare theirs but definitely looked better than it tasted. Raspberry pop tart was my favorite item! Husband had no complaints on the cupcake.

This beautiful little shop feels like stepping into another world the moment you walk in. It's family run, and you can truly feel the love and creativity that goes into everything they make. Gabriel welcomed us in and took the time to walk us through all the delicious treats they had to offer. His kindness and enthusiasm made the experience even more special. Since it was our first visit, we were treated to complimentary shortbread cookies -- we chose lavender and rose -- and both were absolutely delicious. We ended up taking home a strawberry brownie, the tuxedo cupcake with dark chocolate and buttercream frosting, a vanilla cupcake, and the limoncello cupcake. Every single dessert was wonderful and beautifully made. This is the kind of bakery you instantly know you'll return to again and again. We will definitely be back!

We've only been to the one in Old Town Mesa, by the fine art theater. Just glad its not next door, because I'd start living there! Not to sound like a hoity toity food snob, (kind of like when someone says they are not a "conspiracy theorist," but then they go into great lengths about conspiracies -- I'll be a snob here. Their pastries and breads are next level. They aren't just baking an excellent product (which would be enough to make me happy in area that lacks artisan bakers) they are "crafting" baking art. I hate to compare to the European Bakery craft (because there are plenty of great American bakers) but Europe does have that as a trademark (at least France, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.) If all I ate eat each day was one of their croissants, it would be enough - theirs just flake away from the outside, and then a tender airy sourdough inside. Pain au Chocolate - excellent. Croissant - excellent. Oh -- Chocolate Chuck cookie - unbelievable. Best I've ever had. Chewy, buttery, crunchy. Not caky. I'll be heading back for sourdough bread and other goodies. I know they're vegetarian, but I wanted to double check with her. She responds as "vegetarian means no meat, right"? All employees working at a food establishment should know what vegetarian means. This was quite baffling to hear. I asked her for a new slice because the one that was out on display was visibly burned and the other slice was touching pepperoni from the meat pizza. As mentioned, I'm a vegetarian. Therefore, I could not have either one of those slices. She proceeds to say that's how the pizzas are. They are slightly burned because they are so sourdough. While I can accept this answer, I do not accept the fact that she would not be willing to give me another slice as a paying customer. She insensitively said she can't give me a new one until all the old slices are taken up. She mentioned that this is their procedure. According to this, they are saying that they will not provide a proper product unless the old, damaged product, or unacceptable by the customer is used up first. If this is their business model, then it is apparent they do not value customer service. This business should have the competence to understand that if they want to sell a product, they cannot sell it in a condition that the customer is not satisfied with. Most importantly, being a vegetarian, they should have the sensitivity to understand that if a slice is touching the meat product then they cannot consume it. And again, the employee completely disregarded my health and religious beliefs by not accommodating me. You usually won't encounter problems when you're just trying to buy bread. However, it reflects on the business's employees greatly when there is a problem and they do not value customer service by resolving or accommodating the customer's satisfaction. I will be switching to Noble exclusively. Especially since it's so readily available at the farmers markets and stores.
