I did quite a bit of research to find window coverings for a very large sliding glass door that I have. It's been over a year of contemplating where to go for my window coverings because the price was high. Finally I decided it was between The Shade Store and Alro Custom Drapery. I decided on Alro because it seemed more customer friendly even though the price was the same as The Shade Store. Boy was I wrong about my decision. Once I finalized the installation date, two men came to my home and installed the drapes. As soon as they left, I discovered what would be an epic mistake I made in my decision. Attached are photos of what I received. The stitching was completed by one drunk tailor. And upon installation, for a price of over $5000, I would have expected ironed curtains, but of course it looks like they grabbed the material out of a garbage bag and hung it up in my room. After I called Alro and sent them photos of the trash bags they sewed for me, they said they could "maybe expedite and come out in a week." Wow, now that's fast - NOT! WTH, I would expect you to come out immediately and remedy the disaster you created. After calling me last minute to let me know they cannot come on the day we decided, I had had enough of their shenanigans and put my foot down - I told them I would not accept any other date than the one we originally agreed on. I have to keep stopping my day to accommodate for a date they agreed on then reneged on? They did restitch the curtains and it's not to my standards the way it hangs, but I don't want to deal with them ever again. Oh, and they NEVER APOLOGIZED for their mishap. No accountability, nothing. read more

David was great. He was careful, detail, oriented, made sure everything was working and showed us how to use everything. There was a slight problem with the order, but he gave reassurance and made us feel like that would work out well. We had an old house, so he had to tweak one of the large blinds so that it matched the slope of the house. So really nice I and great detail work. I can't give enough stars to Alfred, the owner of ALRO and his team! My home has large windows which, when it is summer and sunny, let a lot of heat into my home. I wanted to be able to enjoy seeing my outdoor views and landscaping and not have closed blinds. So he recommended commercial-grade exterior motorized solar shades. WOW!!! They are so very worth the investment!! My home is now much cooler on hot, sunny days and I can still see out onto my landscaping and views outside!
