    Al's Loaded Fries (Large)

Ordered loaded fries with all sauce on the side. The cook admitted she read the order wrong and still decided to give me the wrong order. Will probably think twice before ordering here again. Website also needs a revision. No option for cheese on the side. I assumed cheese falls under "sauce on the side"

Al's Hot Chicken is conveniently located in Hawthorne in a small shopping center not far from SpaceX and other shopping centers. The location has adequate parking, and the inside area is good enough to sit and eat at the location. There weren't many people in line, and it took about 20 minutes for the food. Customer service was great, but the reason I will not return and gave low stars is because the oil was extremely old, which was evident in how the food tasted--and you could probably tell by the look of the chicken. I will not return to this establishment and suggest the oil be changed sooner than the routine you currently have set.

Wanted to try this new chicken spot in town. Beatriz (the cashier) recommended half a chicken, I subbed it for leg and thigh. Oh my... this was delicious , saying juicy would be an understatement. I got it "x hot" which was spicy but not unbearable . It's halal or kosher for the people who prefer it. It's like Dave's hot chicken, but a better version of it. If you like hot chicken, it's worth checking this spot out

Pistachio 'pudding' ?? More like milk gelatin

Chicken was ok a little bland tbh but juicy and cooked perfectly. I feel like $20 for 3 tenders and fries and a drink was a little expensive (but what isn't these days).. the kicker is having to pay extra for a single dipping sauce i feel like they couldve included at least one for free and then maybe charge for additional Now the bad.. pistachio "pudding" was terrible. I dont like to waste food even when i dont care for it, but this went in the trash. Pudding shouldn't hold its shape out of the container its in, let alone should one be able to pick it up in your fingers in one piece. It tasted like a really firm milk jello with a faint rose water flavor and not even sweet. One the bright side, the store was spotless drinks were good and service from lady working the register was great!

I went here for the first time. I ordered a chicken sandwich ,When I took my first bite I felt something wasn't right, I ate hate half of it because I was hungry. It tasted like Nashville powder with no seasoning in it , my stomach started hurting 15 minutes after I ate it. The meat tasted a little old, or maybe freezer burnt. I know something was wrong with that chicken. I will never go back. I drove to another place to get 2 tacos, and it was nasty. Spent almost $40 for nothing.

I recommend ordering the whole or half chickens so you get different cuts of meat. Personally, I enjoy thigh meat while my husband prefers breast or wings so it was easy for us to split the different cuts. We ordered two different halves one soy garlic and the other was red hot pepper. We both have pretty good spice tolerances and the spiciness of the red hot pepper was just on point. The chicken comes out freshly prepared so it's hot and crunchy. We ordered a side of the corn cheese which is a must for me anytime I get Korean fried chicken. They also give you sides of cabbage and pickled radish which I find provides a good palette cleanser through the meal. The meal was a bit pricy coming out to ~$60 for two people, but I also brought home 4 pieces for leftovers. This place would probably be considered more affordable if you came with a bigger group to you can split multiple orders.

I'm unfortunately a little out of the way, but that just means treating myself to a box of 8-12 pieces on the rare occasions I am in the area. This is the kind of fried chicken that's great all on its own. Perfectly ASMR-worthy crunch, simple seasoning, fried with care & fresh batches of oil, insanely juicy and tender with each bite. Even if you get your food to go, the way your order is packaged ensures the chicken stays a crunchy for a hot min. Enjoy the chicken fresh, but be careful to not burn your tongue lol If you do pay a little extra for sauce, my personal recommendations are the spicy mayo and yuzu aioli. Has a decent amount of indoor seating if you want to eat there though overall probably does more business to-go. Feels like a place to catch up with friends or to take the family on a weekend lunch. When I swung by midweek there were a few workers presumably on their lunch break. Menu is abundant. I especially appreciate the small combo types, since most Korean fried chicken places make you order an 8 piece minimum. Great for getting your fried chicken fix without having to spend more than you want to commit to. Ordered a 2 piece combo, consisting of a leg, thigh, soy garlic sauce, macaroni salad, fries, and a soda. Was $12.10 with tax - a steal! I have a smaller appetite so it was plenty. One of the two pieces though was a drumstick and thigh connected together, so not sure if that was intentional or generous. Chicken was crispy even an hour after it was ready (they got my order ready ahead of my scheduled pickup time), and moist. Soy garlic sauce and macaroni salad were textbook. Plenty of fries, but they definitely need to be eaten day of. Soda images for online ordering are a can but it actually comes in the form of a cup you fill at their soda station. A new favorite of mine for sure.

Which made it hard for myself. I seen the menu after I ordered. I walked out with 12 pieces of chicken regular not spicy. Corn fritters, macaroni salad, peach cobbler and a banana pudding. Once home we set up our table and began to devour our food. We were blown away with the chicken it is better than most places we have been to not saying any names.
