    Chicken Sandwich

I've stopped in a few times and really enjoy their chicken sandwich and their fried shrimp. The cook is perfect every time. Staff are friendly and personable, and the restaurant is usually clean. Easy street parking right out front.

I've been coming here for about 2.5 years now on occasion when I'm near LAX and it is absolutely one of my favorites quick & fair priced food spots in LA. It's in a little plaza with shared parking so you just have to find some parking in the back. They have a great range of options on the menu and the price is absolutely fair for the amount of food you get + the current market. This restaurant is also halal! Huge plus. I always get the shrimp and chicken combo which NEVER disappoints. The food is ready is about 15 minutes and if you call ahead of time they can have it ready by the time you show up which is great. Majority of the frying and cooking happens behind the register so you see everything, they are very clean and I've see the employees switching gloves multiple times as they move around. The decor inside is awesome with blues and a nice ocean-line scenery. I highly recommend this place too all my friends and anyone who wants to grab a great bite for a good price!!!

I was in LA and was looking for a place to eat lunch. I found this place by just driving around the city. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by staff. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I ordered a 3 piece regular, fries and 5 piece kickin chicken. The chicken was delicious and very flavorful. The fries were cooked to perfection. The menu had some great choices and has specials running all week. Prices were reasonable. Great place to get good food.

Delicious chicken wings. The staff was very friendly and helpful . They suggested chicken wings and fries, since it was my 1st visit here. I will be back, the wings were cooked to perfection. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is in back of the building.

My photo does not do enough justice. The meat slides right off the bone. Food was hot and cooked to perfection. I had to eaten, five wings before I took the picture. I came in for wing Wednesday, which is $129 per full wing. There was probably only two skimpy wings out of the bunch. The rest were delicious. They have a really good drink selection with different sodas and lemonades. They have plenty of sauces to choose from like sweet red chili barbecue ranch, garlic, buffalo hot sauce and more. Aside from wings there is chicken sandwiches, fried fish, and plenty sides to choose from. There's plenty of seating inside and outback. Inside is very clean and modern and they have two TVs to watch on. They do have customer restrooms. There's little parking in front but more parking in the back. Come give it a try they won't disappoint.

Pretty darn great!! The seasoning they dust on top of the chicken and sides is so tasty! What is it! My 1st time here. Everything is made fresh to order and seems like the okra is fresh too based on how the texture and looks of it. Don't think it is frozen but if it is, it felt fresh. The chicken is super juice and meat is bouncy! Really delicious!! Juices flying while you tear or bite into it. Yum!! Can't wait to come back and try other items!! They take mobile pay too!

I loved this place from the first time my friend shared her left overs with me and I had the french fries and chicken. When I walked in, I was greated by a lovely women named Stacy. She had a very warm and kind personality. She asked me what I would like and I told her its my first time and she let me know what was good. I said I'll have the chicken and french fries. The french fries were seasoned so well and they make them slightly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, just like I like them. The chicken is so yummy . I happened to have an appointment next to them and went inside and saw the same women sitting next to me and we started a conversation and I shared with her that I was facing homelessness. I told her how much I loved their food. She walks over to me and says I'm gonna pray for you. Of course I started to cry. What a kind women she is. Its rare to meet people who will take the time to pray for you. I told her I havent tried any of the fish yet, but I will next time and she asked which fish I like ? I said all but catfish would be my choice and ahe said, I'm gonna make you one to go. I can't tell you how much I appreciate her and this place. I was telling other people to go here too! The staff is kind and the food is so delicious . Don't forget to tip! Let's blow this place up and buy some delicious food and always tell them to have a great day and spread the love. Love you Stacy!! Thank you and may God bless you and Kickin' chicken

I was in the area and this spot's reviews and pics looked good. So, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I had doubts walking in (one of the selections on the soda machine wasn't working) However, the staff was friendly, and so I placed my order for wings and shrimp. The flavor was actually quite good. Interesting, tasty selection of seasonings. I will repeat.

    George T.

Service was good. Food was decent. Portion was decent. Pricing was reasonable. Drink selection was unique and good. Chicken wings were fairly small. Place was clean. I would have to go back again and give it another try to get a full assessment.

Heard about this place and wanted to try it out. We eat seafood on occasion so we decided to stop by when we were close to the airport. So here's the rundown: Parking: on street or parking lot in the back Service: Good customer service! We were greeted as we entered and the menu was explained to us. Can order via kiosk, call-in, or at register Wait time: 15 mins wait for food so not too bad Food: Everything is item only but can make items into combos; looks like they specials on certain days; shrimp was well seasoned but sadly the red snapper was a bit dry and not seasoned as well. Bummer! Overall: Restaurant was very clean, employees were helpful but the fish left a lot to be desired. Also it was disappointing to pay $4.99 for fries to get maybe just a small handful. I could've gotten more for that price at Five Guys or Chick fil a. Very stingy so that's why I deducted a star. Glad we tried it but sadly I can only give 3.5 stars. Maybe we will try a different fish to see if that makes a difference but certainly will not order fries!

    #1 - Chicken & Shrimp Combo

Kickin' it at Kickin' for some special deals! If yall like a good deal like me, this is the place for you! How bout, Two piece leg and thigh for $1.99 Tuesdays?! 99 cent Wholeeee wing Wednesdays?! 79 cent jumbo shrimp Saturdays?! and the daily deals go on! These alone got me wanting to come back. The fried chicken and the shrimp is where it's at here. Freshly fried, crunchy yet super juicy and the seasoning on it hits perfectly. I went with the combo plates which come with coleslaw, fries and a drink. Their fries are decent, choose your sauces wisely as it makes the whole experience! Steer clear of ranch it's packaged ranch... a sad day for ranch lovers. But the kickin garlic is fire, honey mustard, and the sweet chili are a good combo. Also, the coleslaw is a pass, there was just something off putting here, little bitter. The fried okra and zucchini sticks are pretty good, nice change from just fries. Overall, the location is chill, they have indoor and outdoor dining option, with parking in the back, the service was cool, and the food is tasty! I really like the deal options, a steal. I give it 3 stars, as my last visit my chicken was burnt and salty, a sad day, but I'm not knocking them out just yet, I will be back for the deals Tip: Halal Happy eats, Loves! ^_^

My wife and I recently visited Los Angeles to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and a major…read morebirthday milestone, and we were fortunate enough to discover Fishing With Dynamite. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant, and after our experience, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Because of our travel schedule, our only opportunity to visit was during lunch on the same day we had to catch a flight home across the country. From the moment we made our reservation to the moment we walked out the door, everything about our experience was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a wonderful corner location and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was terrific, and the food was outstanding. The four of us ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and there was something special about being able to enjoy such a memorable meal together on an important day for our family. But what truly sets Fishing With Dynamite apart isn't just the food or the atmosphere -- it's the people. Every interaction we had with the staff was wonderful. From making the reservation, to our waitress who took such great care of us, to the servers who brought our food and drinks, everyone was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. And then something happened that took that feeling to an entirely different level. After we finished our meal, I accidentally left a small bag at the restaurant as we headed to the airport. I didn't realize it until we were already at LAX, sitting at the gate and preparing to board our flight home. My heart sank when I realized what had happened. The items inside -- AirPods, Beats headphones, an external battery pack, an expensive pair of sunglasses, and other things -- were replaceable, but a few of them were gifts and had sentimental value to me. Given that we were already at the airport, I had pretty much accepted that I would never see the bag again. My wife contacted Fishing With Dynamite, explained what had happened, and the staff immediately went to work trying to help. We were put back in touch with the waitress who had served us, and incredibly, she remembered us and was able to locate the bag. We offered to pay for shipping and for the inconvenience of someone having to take the package to the post office. Instead, later that day, the general manager reached out to us personally and assured us that they would be happy to ship everything back to us promptly -- and, even more incredibly, they wouldn't accept a penny from us for doing it. That gesture meant far more to me than simply getting my belongings back. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel transactional, the people at Fishing With Dynamite reminded me that there are still genuinely caring people who are willing to go out of their way to help someone simply because it's the right thing to do. We went to Fishing With Dynamite expecting a great lunch. We left with an incredible meal, wonderful memories from our anniversary trip, and an experience with a group of people that I will genuinely never forget. The food is fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is excellent. But most importantly, the people who work here truly care about their customers, and they proved it by going far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect.

Parking is a bit tight, with only one spot in the back and limited street parking, so keep that in mind. They do have a small patio outside, though, which was really nice to sit on and enjoy the breeze. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the whole fried tilapia, but take my word for it--it's a MUST if you're in the mood for cooked fish. The outside is perfectly crispy while the inside stays flaky and tender. It comes with fresh cucumber and Spanish rice with corn, which is a great complement to the simplicity of the whole fried fish. But if there's one thing that sets them apart and is an absolute MUST TRY, it's the Aquachile. The balance of citrus and spice is perfect. The raw shrimp practically melts in your mouth as it soaks up all that delicious sauce. Seriously...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We also tried the Mango Ceviche, which was good overall, but unfortunately the cucumbers were a little bitter, which threw off the flavor for me. Still a good dish, just a little mishap this time around.

Unfortunately, over my more recent visits, I feel that both the food and the overall experience have declined. Service has become extremely slow, and the restaurant often seems understaffed. The food is still okay, but in my opinion it no longer justifies the very long waits. Having grown up with Mexican food, I also don't find the food nearly as exceptional as its reputation might suggest. If I were comparing it with seafood restaurants in Mexico, I would personally rate the food around 2 out of 5 stars. What really made me decide not to return, however, was my experience during my last visit. When I went to pay my bill, a man working near the entrance insisted that I also had to pay for a fish order that had supposedly been placed over the phone. I explained that I had never placed a telephone order--I had simply walked into the restaurant and ordered my food there. Another employee actually tried to clarify the situation and told him that I was not the person who had ordered the fish. Despite that, he continued insisting that I was responsible for it. His manner became increasingly aggressive and pushy, even while his colleague was trying to explain that there had been a mistake. It was an extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing interaction, particularly because I was being pressured to pay for something I had never ordered. What made the situation even worse was that, once it became clear that he had made a mistake and confused me with another customer, he never apologized. Mistakes happen, and I would have had no problem with a simple misunderstanding that was quickly corrected. What bothered me was the way the situation was handled, the insistence that I pay for something I had not ordered, and the complete lack of an apology afterward. Sadly, that experience was enough for me. After being a customer who genuinely liked this restaurant in the past, I don't plan to return.

The night we flew in, it was late and we'd been traveling all day, so we decided to try Caravan Cantina for dinner before heading to bed. The hotel gave us each a free taco token, so it was an easy decision. We started with the carne asada and chicken tinga tacos, with a side of street corn to share. The street corn was great--not too salty or creamy, just a great texture, more like a thick salsa for dipping the tostadas that came with it. My wife loved the carne asada taco, and I really enjoyed the chicken tinga taco, so although we traded a bite for a bite, we were both happy with our decision. We decided to try one more taco, so we got two grilled shrimp tacos (the taco token only comes with one taco, while the regular order comes with two). These ended up being our favorite--super juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. We came back the next day for an appetizer before going to a late dinner with friends, and we split the squash blossom quesadilla, which sounded intriguing and turned out to be absolutely delicious. We added chicken at the suggestion of the waitress, but it didn't need it, really. The salsas that come with most of the dishes are amazing. Our favorite was the salsa roja, which is a sort of an orange color. After deciding to stay one more day, we spent most of our last afternoon by the pool, which was super fun, and we ordered poolside service to try the queso blanco--which was phenomenal--and we also got a side of the salsa roja to mix in with the queso. Can't say enough about this place and the staff--the vibe of the restaurant is laid back and fun, not too loud but not dead either. We'll definitely be back next time we visit LA!

It was fresh, crisp, and a good lighter option before the main course. For the main course, I went with the 22 oz bone in ribeye cooked medium rare. The steak was the highlight of the meal. It was cooked exactly how I wanted it, with a nice seared exterior and a tender, flavorful center. For the side, I got the lobster mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich, and the lobster added another layer of flavor that paired really well with the steak. The hospitality was amazing. Kept asking how was everything. Kept refilling water. Great staff. Overall, everything from the appetizers to the steak and sides made for a really good dinner. The 22 oz bone in ribeye with the lobster mashed potatoes was definitely my favorite combination. I'll definitely be back to Eddie V's.

As a first-time guest, I was pleased to be shown to a quiet, elegant area of the dining room that seemed well suited to an upscale dinner. Shortly after being seated, however, the server learned that I intended to order one of your signature dishes. The manager on duty, Nick, then asked me to relocate to a table near the bar. That area was considerably louder and far less comfortable than the table where I had been seated. Being moved to such a noisy location detracted from what I had expected to be a refined, relaxed meal and made it difficult to enjoy both the food and drinks. For future reference, I would expect that guests ordering signature or higher-priced menu items be accommodated in an environment consistent with the restaurant's upscale positioning. I was informed the only way I could sit in the scale, elegant area of the restaurant if I decided to order something different off the menu. It's almost like I was being told what to order. I didn't appreciate that. I was also disturbed by the way the server handled the gratuity. The interaction felt pushy and made me uncomfortable; I did not appreciate that approach. Professional, tactful communication about service and payment is essential, especially in a fine-dining setting, and this encounter fell short of that standard. Finally, I was disappointed by the overall value of the experience. Despite spending a significant amount, the service and portioning -- in particular two small scoops of lobster served over bread -- did not meet the expectations I had for an establishment of your reputation and price point. I am sharing this feedback because I had high hopes for my visit and was ultimately let down. I would welcome your response addressing these concerns and any steps you plan to take to prevent similar experiences for other guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, TSR ‍
