    Lychee martini

Came for happy hour and apparently everyone else had the same idea. It was pretty busy, so service was a little slow, but we still enjoyed ourselves. We ordered the chicken nachos, Brussels sprouts, and lychee martinis. The nachos were really good and super filling! They came piled high with a hefty portion of toppings, so definitely great for sharing. The lychee martini was also really good. Refreshing and not overly sweet. There is a parking lot, but it's on the smaller side and fills up pretty quickly, especially during happy hour. Overall, great location, good happy hour bites, and I'd definitely come back for that lychee martini!

We had a disappointing experience here. The food took a very long time to arrive, and when it did, it was completely cold. We brought this up to our waitress, she took it off our bill of course, but wasn't going to figuring out why it happened or how to redeem the experience. Probably best to sit at the bar to not be forgotten. Unfortunately, because of this we will not be returning. Sucks bc the food is good! Not when it's cold tho. Sad about this... service used to be good, what happened? Good food+poor management= bad experience, cold food, long waits..

I moved to LA 7 years ago from San Diego and will admit Eureka was one of our favorite places to grab a burger down in San Diego. I would go here specifically for the Bone Marrow Burger and I can report. It's just as delicious today as it was all those years ago. This location is located right near SpaceX down in Hawthorne and can get quite busy. There is a small free parking lot attached in front otherwise street parking is not that difficult to find. Our server was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. This restaurant is fairly large. There is a full bar and many different size tables available. One cool thing is that you have views of the private runway and all the planes and helicopters. Makes for a fun experience. I always order the same thing when I come to Eureka and this time was no different. I start off with the Mac & Cheese Balls, which were great and I got the main star of the show which was the Bone Marrow Burger. It's a personal favorite of mine and I would recommend adding avocado to it to make it that perfect bite. I would highly recommend this spot for a great casual option for lunch or dinner with friends or family. It's not quite a date spot, it's much more casual and it's definitely worth the trip.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday. When I Yelp checked for restaurants in this area I was pleasantly surprised to find one on the runway of Hawthorne Airport! I simply ADORE a private airport lounge/restaurant! Eureka was wonderful! The first person "greeting" us didn't seem too thrilled to be there, but I was excited enough for the both of us. No matter, as soon as we were seated, a nice guy came over and introduced himself and gleefully agreed with my excitement for the runway location. David (Z) asked if he could get any drinks started while we looked at the menu and made himself available for any questions, but otherwise encouraged us to relax and enjoy the view. We decided to each get a burger, but I was torn. There was a Wagyu Umami Melt Burger as a featured plate of the month, but the Fresno Fig, a burger w/fig marmalade, creamy goat cheese, bacon, red onion & arugula sure sounded tasty. David said the Fresno Fig was a personal favorite, but the monthly specials are limited burger combos. I went with the Umami. It was SO GOOD! The mushroom and red onions were so tender the provolone slightly melted and the Wagyu was tender. I wish the meat would've had some seasoning added, but I've noticed most places don't season the beef. The bun was a soft, yummy brioche. The fries were REALLY GOOD! Perfectly crispy outside, but a fluffy potato center. Served in a metal cup on the side keeps the fries nice and warm. The view was what I was excited for and I was very happy with my seat next to the window facing the runway. One Cessna was practicing take offs/landings and then a PJ showed up to whisk some VIP away. *sigh* Maybe someday I'll get to see the view of Eureka from that PJ.... Cheers! "CC"

20.5 stars for the service! 3.5 stars for the food. I tried the Mac n cheese balls, fried pickles, and the double smash burger (which was more like two small sliders on a large bun.) The food was okay. Nothing that I tried was awful, but nothing would make me rush to return. If I'm in the area, I'd probably stop by for happy hour to try something else. Btw the mimosa flight and variety of juice flavors was perfect. Casual bar vibes, nice playlist and again, the service was fantastic. Our server Mateo in particular was outstanding! Free parking lot is very small and has the potential to fill up quick. There has to be more parking around, I just didn't see it.

Blink and you'll drive past! Tucked in next to a small airport and next to the big Space X building. This is a great spot to come for happy hour with friends. It is by the airport so expect some loud engine noises and it can get a little loud with everyone talking at once but not the worst. Food is traditional American fare, burgers, sandwiches and salads. I will say I wasn't a fan of the sweet potato fries when I ordered; they were mostly soggy and not salted. They have a lot more variety with their drink menu, which all tasted amazing and deliciously strong. Service was good. Waitress was pretty attentive in making sure we ordered in time for happy hour and friendly enough. Will come back again to enjoy happy hour.

Had a great first experience at Eureka. Parking was easy, the location had plenty of seating, nice view of the airport and was very clean. Service was superb and yes the food was delicious. The wings were salad, the burger was so flavorful and the cocktails were fantastic. They didn't rush us as we stayed watching the game that night. Almost got dessert but was too stuffed after having the savory items and cocktails. Definitely want to go back to try another burger, but this time with sweet potato fries and definitely some dessert!

2nd time trying this place. Much better I must say. Food was yummy and light. Service was very slow though. We ordered a salad , appetizer and kids chicken bites. A beer alone took over 10 minutes. Place was not too busy. I did enjoy the view of the planes. Just note that this restaurant is very small.

I've been to this Eureka location several times. It's near my office, so it's usually my go-to spot for lunch meetings or team retreats. It's a tasting menu restaurant, so some items rotate, which is pretty cool. Some of my favorite items to order: Salmon kale salad: I didn't see this on the menu during my recent visit, but I really enjoyed it before. It was tasty and I just wish the salmon portion was a bit bigger. Jalapeño bacon jam burger: I ordered this on my last visit. It was my first time trying a burger here, and I'm glad I did. Super tasty and loved the sweet and salty combo. Sweet potato fries: Crispy, sweet, and delicious. I'm not a fan of the dipping sauce they come with, so I just use ketchup. Mac & cheese balls: Really good. Crispy on the outside with creamy mac and cheese inside. If you're going to order an appetizer, I would suggest this. Truffle fries w/ cheese sauce: Very tasty, and the cheese sauce is great. Last time, I even used it to dip my jalapeño jam burger--so good! I'm not really a fan of their drinks. On my last visit, I ordered the sweet peach iced tea, but it lacked peach flavor. Customer service is hit or miss. During my last visit, it was a miss. Our waitress was friendly, but she only checked on us once.

Had a great time at Eureka's on Friday!!! The smash burger was tender and seasoned well! The lavender tea with a shot of sweetness was delicious! The staff were nice and what made the experience even better was the live dee Jay music from 3-6pm!. You have to pay for parking and there is no validation but it was worth the good time and fun ambiance.

Eureka! has become my go‑to spot in the Hawthorne/North South Bay area. They've got everything you want in a neighborhood hangout--daily happy hours, a full bar, solid burgers, and a really good beer menu. The crowd is always diverse and the vibe stays easygoing no matter when you go. I've been here numerous times, and it's consistently reliable. Whether you're grabbing a drink after work, meeting friends, watching the game, or just want a laid‑back place with good food and better energy, Eureka! always delivers.

This place has a really unique vibe. At first, it almost feels like it's only for people using the Hawthorne Municipal Airport, not like your typical restaurant open to the general public--even though it is. Once you're seated, you get a great view of the runway, with small planes and helicopters right behind you, which makes the whole experience feel different in a good way. The crowd was also interesting--despite the menu being more casual (burgers, wings, salads, fish & chips, etc.), the clientele felt very upscale. It's the kind of place where you see well-dressed people, pilots, or folks who look like they fly private. Meanwhile, I showed up in shorts and sandals after a Target run, which made the contrast kind of funny. Now, the food--honestly excellent. I had a burger, truffle fries, and Brussels sprouts, and everything was a solid 9/10. Really flavorful and well done. The service was also great--attentive, friendly, and nothing to complain about. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. It feels like you're dining at an airport without the chaos--more relaxed, with a cool atmosphere and surprisingly really good food at reasonable prices. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Everything I tried was phenomenal. From the bone marrow burger to the Elote and the onion rings . My service was impeccable and attentive. All provided by a young lady by the name of Kaia. She recommended a few drinks and basically ordered for the table. It was packed due to the World Cup being in town but we were able to find a table. Thank you Kaia and Eddie

I recommend ordering the whole or half chickens so you get different cuts of meat. Personally, I enjoy thigh meat while my husband prefers breast or wings so it was easy for us to split the different cuts. We ordered two different halves one soy garlic and the other was red hot pepper. We both have pretty good spice tolerances and the spiciness of the red hot pepper was just on point. The chicken comes out freshly prepared so it's hot and crunchy. We ordered a side of the corn cheese which is a must for me anytime I get Korean fried chicken. They also give you sides of cabbage and pickled radish which I find provides a good palette cleanser through the meal. The meal was a bit pricy coming out to ~$60 for two people, but I also brought home 4 pieces for leftovers. This place would probably be considered more affordable if you came with a bigger group to you can split multiple orders.

Party on Western is a hole‑in‑the‑wall dive bar in the most affectionate way possible. The kind of spot where the lights are dim, the playlist is fire, and the walls have definitely seen some things they'll never speak of again. You walk in and immediately feel like you've joined a secret society of people who just want good music, strong drinks, and zero judgment. People will always judge...who are we fooling. lol!! The playlist? It was on point for the spot, it wasn't just good, it was spiritually aligned with my bloodstream. Every song slapped. Every beat felt like it was personally trying to fix my life choices. I swear one track looked me dead in the eyes and whispered, "You're doing amazing, sweetie." Let's talk about these drinks because they were flirting with me HARD. * Jack on the Rocks, a simple classic that's smooth, cold, and acting like it knew me from a past life. It slid across the bar like, "Hey stranger... miss me?" * Chilled Tequila Shot...Wow, this one didn't flirt. This one grabbed me by the soul and said, "We're making memories tonight." * Jack & Coke, it was sweet, bold, and absolutely lying to me. It told me I was the main character. It told me I was unstoppable. It told me I could dance. It was wrong... but I believed it. Ha ha ha! By drink three, I was ready to text people I shouldn't and tell the bartender my entire life story. Didn't happen though. Ha ha ha! Oh wait a minute...I almost forgot...I ordered some hot wings to set the tone, and let me tell you, they came in HOT like they were auditioning for a music video. Perfect bar wings: messy, spicy, and exactly what you need to convince your stomach that the tequila was a good idea. Typical bar food across the board, nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just the classics and messy at its best. But let's be real: the drinks are the main event. The food is just there to keep you from making catastrophic decisions. At one point I swear my Jack & Coke winked at me. The tequila shot told me I deserved happiness. The wings told me to stop being dramatic. And the playlist told me to live my truth. This bar didn't just serve me drinks, it emotionally supported me. For better or worse, get over it! I had business in the same shopping center and decided to drop in for lunch…read more Torrance Tavern is restaurant bar located in a shopping center. Needless to say, there is plenty of parking. The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

Waiters kept checking on us. Got the mild Buffalo Wings for $14 and Parmesan Fries for $6. The wings were good. The Parmesan Fries were really good, they didn't skimped on the Parmesan. Both dishes were small and came with ranch sauce. Got place to watch the games with friends. Not the place to have a conversation. Happy Hour was Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm and 10pm to closing at midnight. Karaoke night was Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10pm to closing at midnight.

Wow is this place amazing. My family and I are so used to Lawrys, but this place is so comparable!…read moreThe meat, in my opinion, is a little more fatty! But still so good! Reasonably priced and service was phenomenal! Kevin was our waiter, and he took care of all 12 of us Drinks to the top remembering the orders, there was one meat that was a little overcooked, and they immediately swapped it out! The place is older vibe with red booths, gives me dive bar vibes a little, but don't underestimate this place! Definitely worth the drive! Get the chicken noodle soup, all their soups are in house made, so good!!! Will definitely be back

This is a steakhouse that serves different cuts of meat, but it's primarily known for its prime…read morerib. I've been here several times including yesterday. Would I say they have the best prime rib around? No. But it is pretty damn satisfying. When here, I always order the Franciscan cut Prime Rib cooked to medium (it's 3/4 pounds), house salad with ranch dressing, and steak fries. They throw in a loaf of sourdough bread with whipped butter. The prime rib is very tender and has plenty of fat. We all know fat equals flavor. The only thing I would change about it, and I keep forgetting to ask the server each time I'm here, is to have it served without the au jus already in the plate. Don't get me wrong. The au jus is fantastic, but when the prime rib is served in a pool of it, the meat becomes soggy. Served separately, I think the prime rib would be even better. In addition to the prime rib, the salad and steak fries are incredibly delicious. The salad is nothing fancy, but very tasty due to the ranch dressing it comes with. Wish I knew the recipe of the dressing. The steak fries pair perfectly with the prime rib. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only thing I would say is pretty average is the sourdough bread. Although it comes out warm, I don't get the sense that they're freshly baked. The service here is phenomenal. The servers are attentive, polite, and efficient. Can't ask for anything more from them. If you're looking for a trendy spot with contemporary decor and pretentious vibes, this place is not for you. This is an old school steakhouse with red upholstered booths and soft music playing in the background. If you live in the South Bay, and you're looking for a classic prime rib experience, this is a place you should check out.
