I am writing a yelp review regarding an incident I personally witnessed at the workplace. I don't know why it keeps erasing my comment in regards to this? I keep posting it since this happened! I hope someone reads. A patient had previously left a Yelp complaint. I had to see for myself and yes it's here. After the complaint was identified, a supervisor named Maritza confronted the patient in front of other patients and staff members rather than addressing the matter privately and professionally. During the interaction, the supervisor spoke to the patient in Spanish, saying words to the effect of: "mi trabajo esta en liña por usted porfavor boralo dame su telfono" while other things were said too. In reference to the complaint that had been made. This public confrontation created an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment for everyone present. I also observed that the patient's phone was handed during the situation, because she wanted his phone!! But the guy was unsure what to do and did admit he did make that review by the help of someone. which raised concerns regarding appropriate boundaries, privacy, and professional conduct in handling patient-related issues. The patient did say he did do it and got help from someone to do it because his medication was send to another location.  Overall, the interaction appeared escalated and not consistent with professional standards for addressing patient complaints. The situation made both patients and staff uncomfortable due to the public nature of the confrontation and the tone used. I am reporting this as a witness to ensure the matter was reviewed appropriately by compliance or management and to help maintain a professional and respectful environment. also want to add that I am someone who regularly brings family members, including my grandchildren, to this location and I value the services provided. However, witnessing this type of interaction in a workplace setting was concerning, as it appeared to affect the comfort of other staff members as well. The way the situation was handled created an uncomfortable atmosphere, and I believe it should be reviewed to ensure proper professional standards are maintained moving forward. I am writing regarding an uncomfortable experience during my dental appointment at AltaMed. I had several shopping bags with personal belongings and, due to physical limitations, I have difficulty walking or standing for long periods of time. When I first needed to use the restroom, it was very dirty and there was water on the floor, which almost caused me to fall. I came back out, checked in, waited in the lobby, and then waited approximately 5-10 minutes for the restroom to be cleaned again. During that time, I observed an AltaMed staff member whispering with the cleaning lady staff in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. The AltaMed staff member, (a shorter woman with dark black hair whose name I do not know), informed me the restroom was temporarily closed, even though it appeared it would reopen shortly. So I continued waiting. I also felt uncomfortable due to the stares I received from staff and expressed to security that I felt singled out. A female security guard later directed me to another restroom, which I greatly appreciated. I thank her for making me feel comfortable and acknowledged during that moment. I was also told again by the same AltaMed staff member that I could not bring my shopping bags into the restroom. When I politely asked whether there was a policy regarding bags, no clear answer was provided. I respectfully ask not to be approached regarding my personal belongings unless there is a clear policy in place. I also hope staff can show respect, and consideration toward patients, especially those with physical limitations. Overall, I did not feel welcomed during this experience. It took me several days to process everything because I was unsure how to properly address the situation, but I ultimately decided to submit this complaint. I'm writing to share some honest feedback regarding my recent experiences at your location. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the female security staff member at the front. Slim latina. Dark black hair. She went above and beyond to assist me, including communicating to the front desk that I had already visited three or four times trying to resolve the same issue with my medication not being sent out. She also helped translate politely, which I really appreciated. At one point, I even apologized to her because she was the only one who actually knew how to speak to me with respect and understanding. While she was doing her best to help, I saw her go to the back to get the manager, Maritza was her name. I saw her badge. What happened next was shocking and disappointing. Even in front of couple patients, Maritza tried to shut down security guard in a rude and unprofessional manner, telling her not to "get involved with patients." "Not her job"when it is! she's serving public service! I was standing right there and could clearly hear it and frankly, it was hard to believe someone speaking that way is in any kind of leadership role. According to her badge, she's a Director Assistant Supervisor but based on how she treats people, I can only imagine what goes on behind closed doors. She should seriously learn how to speak to people whether in public or in private. If this is how she acts in front of patients, and to her "employees" it raises serious concerns about how other staff might be treated when no one is watching. And if someone in her position is behaving this way, it makes me question the overall leadership and culture at this facility. Thankfully, another manager, called Yesenia, eventually stepped in and helped get my medication sent to the correct location. I appreciated her professionalism and follow-through, but the whole situation shouldn't have taken multiple visits to resolve. (Even though I came the very next day) Something clearly isn't right with the way this location is being managed. Employees who show initiative and care like the security staff member should be supported, not silenced or talked down to. That kind of behavior creates a toxic work environment, and patients feel the effects of that too. I'd also strongly recommend hiring more Spanish-speaking staff. (Reception) Relying on a green-screen translator system is frustrating and impersonal, and it raises concerns about patient privacy when sensitive conversations are handled remotely. Having bilingual staff on-site would improve communication and show real respect for the needs of your patients. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly hope these issues are addressed for the well-being of both your staff and the patients you serve. I will be asking for a patient transfer else where and report it to higher up then just a YELP review. This is really unprofessional I hope people realize not to take their job title over their head. I visited the Debra department twice now and Dr Lucio ( sorry if I misspelled ) and assistants have been very professional friendly and delivered excellent care to me . Most of all the front office young lady is soooo helpful I wish I would have remembered her name . (Sorry) She cares , she's confident and she is the reason I continue to come here for my dental needs . read more

Super friendly nurses and the pediatrician that saw my kids is so friendly and remembers us by name! Making appointments is quick and easy too and I like the patient portal app but I wish I could see our referrals there. read more

My entire family are patients of AltaMed Peck and I have never encountered an issue with any of the staff on site. The lady guard is very welcoming & the front office girls do their best to also assist. I was reading a previous review and I have to say I disagree, Maritza, she isn't always up front assisting but the time she helped me she was so sweet. She was very professional, she helped me from beginning to end with my issue. She even took it up to the leaders on site to help her get exactly what I needed. She was such a great help during my visit! I've seen her around the facility always putting things up and having conversations with staff and she's great! We love AltaMed & staff! read more

Came by for my appointment and the moment I walked in to check in both receptionist ignored me and were chatting for several minutes as I stood there. -The service was not extra ordinary and they both were very disrespectful to clients after me and prioritized their conversation before anyone else. I noticed the clients after me approached the desk and said her name and the receptionist immediately told her "well you're very late. Im just going to reschedule you (not trying to deal with this.) " in a whispering voice. After the client left that receptionist immediately started talking disrespectfully about the client to the other receptionist. As they both laughed hysterically mimicking the client I noticed a few things. -There were a few seating chairs for clients -The wait to be checked out didn't take that long -Doctor was incredibly kind and friendly. I love chapcare the first time I became a client was during covid for covid testing. The receptionists and doctors have always given me a positive experience. It's a bummer the receptionists at this location are an absolute nightmare. Very rude, very unprofessional, and very disrespectful. You are working for a clinic take your job seriously. read more

Can you post the number for the front desk number? I've been on the phone with the primary number of Alta med. Every phone number takes me to the same robot phone system. I just wanted an appointment confirmation because I never received my first one. I called three different ChapCare clinics and it's all the same robot caller. WHY?!? read more
