The clothes were nice and I wanted to look my best. I gave Style Today a try and the work was just perfect. Since then I have probably gone back a dozen times mostly hemming pants and shortening jacket sleeves. During my visits I've noticed numerous men and women with all kinds of clothing getting fitted - and never heard a complaint. I'm picky about clothes. I'm not anywhere near fashionable or stylish. But I like what I wear to fit well. It's a lovely little shop. Tina the owner and the other tailors and seamstresses are all working right there. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. They do excellent work. I've never needed anything in a rush - but have heard other people needing work turned around overnight or within a day and it sounds like they do their best to deliver. Oh - and Tina has a great eye: where sleeves should fall. Pants should be hemmed. Trust her judgement. I don't have the best eye for color and she helps me know what color shirts to buy. Sometimes I wish I could just take her shopping with me so I could pick out the best fits and fabrics and styles for her to make comfortable and attractive right from the beginning. Last time there was a customer wanting a total reworking of a jacket she had owned for several years and I watched as Tina explained what to do with the length, the sleeves, the width at shoulders and the tummy. As she explained it you could almost see the redesigned jacket taking form - and you knew it was going to look exciting and new. Wish I could be there to see when she picks it up. Try Style Today. I had 24hrs before the ceremony and stopped by here after a quick google search. They don't typically do super rush jobs but told them my situation and they took care of me. My 2 piece suit and shirt were dry cleaned and pressed next day , I was able to pick it up in the afternoon and made it to the ceremony in time. Total life savers. The staff here were amazingly friendly and understanding. They even took my number to call me when it was ready for pick up and that extra step of awesome customer service really shows why local businesses are better than the big chains. They charged me their normal rate which I super appreciate and made sure to leave a tip for their kindness. Which was perfect since I was wearing the dress for an event on Sunday. I came into the shop on Friday and picked up my dry cleaning and was told the dress wasn't ready, and to come back the next day. Which to be frank was annoying. I drove out from Dana Point to Santa Ana since I had read amazing reviews. Later I got a call from the shop that the tailor had to order more zippers and the dress wouldn't be ready till sometime next week. Which sucked, since I had to scramble at the last minute to find a new outfit. While I appreciated the heads up from the store, they need a better prepared tailor. I sadly will not be returning again.
