I was heading back from Steamboat when my oil cooler hose was punctured and all my oil leaked out from my vehicle in minutes. Tom, the head mechanic, answered my call on a Sunday and met me at his shop. He was able to diagnose the problem and replace the hose, having me back on the road in 2 hours. Without his help I would've had to pay for a $500+ tow back to Denver. Tom was professional and extremely knowledgeable as he guessed the issue before I even showed up to his shop. Beware of this place if you are woman or have out of state plates. Daughter stopped here because brakes were making noise. Quoted her $2,400 for front and back brakes, though sound coming from back brakes. When when she told him she would get back to him next day he got very sarcastic to the point of hostile, and generally belittling her. And they don't let you wait there on their property while your vehicle is getting fixed had to set the gas station next-door. Driving home after a busy 4th of July weekend, there was no other place nearby available for me when my car suddenly started making horrendous grinding noises. This guy not only answered my phone call on a Sunday, he diagnosed my problem quickly, fixed it and saved me so much time! Dropped a flat tire off for repair. They filled it with air, told me that it was not repairable and charged me $40.00 for their (expert?) opinion. Also a nasty attitude. There are a lot nicer ploaces to get ripped off. read more

Honestly the best mechanic I've experienced asides from my normal mechanic. In and out in 3hours. I was expecting my truck to be there overnight at the very least. Had an emergency tire issue with my Dodge truck. both inner tires were flat. Asked for tire repair and was told they were too busy and that I should go to a nearby Kum and Go and put air in it. Person on phone was rude and dismissive of my concern and issue. read more

My truck broke down while I was traveling in the area and I needed an immediate repair to get back to the Denver area. I called three other auto repair shops in Granby and the earliest anyone could help me was three weeks later. I called Tom at Alternate Sources and he said if I could get my truck to him, he would try to help me out. I was able to get a tow to his shop and Tom dropped what he was doing and got to work on my truck. Tom was able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem and got me on my way at a reasonable charge. I had a strange sound coming from under the front left side. After removing the tire, a small stone was found which was causing the problem. The issue was corrected at no charge and the service was superb! Not knowing what was causing the sound and being 2 hours from home, I could have easily been taken advantage of! My brakes began making noises and grinding while coming down the east side of Trail Ridge Road. We limped to Alternate Sources, where Tom was able to look at it right away. Turned out a previous brake job was done incorrectly, causing a bolt to fall out, which he replaced. Within an hour he had us back on the road. He also documented the issue with photo and receipt so i could get reimbursed. Great work and I'd recommend him. read more
