After driving by Altitude 15 for a few weeks we decided to give it a try. First, the ambiance is really nice. Wide open spaces with nice furnishing and cool decor. Loved the purple tree in the center of the restaurant. On to the food, the club sandwich was really good. It is huge and was put together perfectly. Steak fries were a little overcooked causing them to crunchy but still good. The squatchos is where they lose a star. I love unique pairings and love all things beer cheese and tater tots. These were just ok. The pesto sauce gave them a really weird flavor and we only ate a few of them and left the rest. I really wish they had some salad and soup options. We only make a spontaneous trip to Olympia, which is our go-to spot, because the three full items we've tried so far have been so delicious. We even took the kids there, and the kids' menu was so tasty that I ended up eating off their plate, nibbling from it and thinking, man, you guys got a good dish too--handmade from scratch. Came to this spot that recently opened. They are labeled as Food Hall. There are two different places inside (Double Tap Tap House and Atlas--neither of which have I found listed on Yelp as of yet), but apparently you can order from either menu at either counter. You order and pay at the counter and they bring food to you. The lady that took our order was nice, but seemed like she had a lot going on. It's an open space with several different types of seating from normal table seating, to comfortable group seating with sofas, chairs, and tables similar to coffee tables, as well as a few booths. Cocktails look interesting, but we did not partake. Went with an order of fish and chips and a club sandwich. To add steak fries to the sandwich was an extra $2. Fish was beer battered, the appearance was done well--unfortunately, the batter was not thoroughly cooked so removed most of it. Asked for cocktail sauce, but it never came out. The club sandwich was just okay. Turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli on sourdough. During the day, the menu is mostly sandwiches and burgers. Prices for such are a little higher than we like to pay for the quality of what was delivered. Overall mediocre experience. Not sure if we would return. read more

Confusing AF! Our friends invited us to Altitude 15 to celebrate their nuptials. They were under the impression that when they rented the place out that it would be a private party. We were informed the day before the reception that we would be separated into a section of the venue as they had two other parties going on at the same time? One was an award ceremony and the other was a pre-planned public pub crawl. Whatever the case, they didn't divide the place up very efficiently and people from other parties kept wandering into each other's spaces. The pub crawlers came in packs and instead of corralling them from the door straight to the right side of the bar, they had them march right through the middle of the joint. The place has two food service areas. One (that seemed closed) looks to be a sandwich counter and the other is the bar where you order both your food and your drinks. It took my wife nearly an hour to order due to the enormous line of people all with the same goal. They had people bringing food out, but those people looked overwhelmed and did not seem happy to be there. They frequently forgot to bring silverware and napkins with the food and one guy in particular would throw your order down on the table near you and without a word, turn around and walk away ignoring all of the folks trying to get his attention for silverware and sides of sauce etc. No one comes around taking orders, so if you wanted another drink, you have to stand in the hour-long line all over again. Once the food came, it was very disappointing as well. My wife ordered a ribeye rare and while the meat looked rare when she cut into it. It literally tasted well done. I had a bite to confirm it and I'm not sure that it was a ribeye after all. It tasted like a roast, and it was also covered in brown gravy which she doesn't really like but getting the servers attention was nearly impossible. A good steak will never need gravy! Our friend had the fish n' chips and said it was almost inedible. The best thing on the table were the two appetizers that I ordered but we think that's because it's a little hard to mess up some deep-fried tater tots and zucchini fries. Everyone in the reviews is raving about this place because of the cool vibe, furniture and decor but where we sat was at a wobbly table that seemed to be fashioned from a cheap hollow-core door in stools that felt like they were trying to push you off of them. The place does have some couches and lounge chairs, and the decor is unique with the color changing L.E.D. lights but if I'm going to pay for parking, there better be some great service and at least decent food. The only thing that I was really impressed by is the photo on the wall by the washrooms that shows what the place looked like as a garage back in the day. If you're looking for a venue to rent for your event, make sure you know the details ahead of time and if you like good food, maybe try someplace else. Truly the strangest tators ever. They were all crunch with no soft potato center. My turkey sandwich was fine as was my husband's burger. We both found the decor lacking and odd.. but hey that's just our taste. The outdoor space is in need of an upgrade. Lots of plain concrete and a wall of concrete blocks. It could use murals and potted trees and color plants. The prices are good. We really wanted fish and chips but the ran out. read more

Came here for Jurassic Drag bingo which was fabulous!! The food took a very long time, however I know they were very very busy. I asked someone about my order after 30 min with no sign of food, it came out quickly after and was warm, with generous portions. I got the club and my partner got the Evergreen. The fries were honestly not fully cooked, good flavor and piping hot but still firm inside and not fully cooked. The club was pretty good, bread had great flavor, delicious turkey breast, but the bacon was SO fatty it was hard to even eat it. My partner enjoyed their grilled cheese however, the wax paper from the cheese slices was still inside her melted sandwich. So that needed to be peeled off. Another individual at my table got a cheeseburger which she said was very tasty but not even warm. Tots were a big hit! Wonderful ambiance, great staff. A bit disappointed as this place came highly recommended to me by a trusted local. Free refills on the ice tea and lemonade is a nice touch, and wait staff is quick to fill waters and clear plates. read more

Would be nice if roast beef came with horseradish side. 12 minutes from time of order to food arriving. FYI when you slam a brand new restaurant for the food being slow to come remember it takes a bit to iron the kinks out. We came about 5-6 weeks in and service was speedy! I work downtown, and my husband went to altitude 15 to get me a club sandwich. It was ordered dry, with no mayonnaise. When he brought it to me, it had a healthy amount of mayo on it. He brought it back, completely whole and untouched, to ask for it to be remade and they refused. That's just bad customer service and a weird hill to die on. read more

CONFUSING. The original idea for this restaurant was to have several food stalls like a mall food court, but higher quality. They ended up with two "restaurants" and a bar. You walk in and have no idea what to do. There isn't a hostess, there appear to be several different places to order, there are lots of tables with lots of menus, there are people playing games at tables and they aren't eating food. Each restaurant has its own menu, but the menus are strikingly similar. Some food you order from the waitress at the table. Some food you order at the counter; order at any counter for any restaurant, even the bar. There are no signs with the names of the restaurants. Food was very boring and bland and overpriced. I'm not sure why they decided to reinvent the way we do "restaurant", as the traditional way works OK. It's like no one thought about how customers would move in the space at all. They have a great big outdoor patio, but that's the only good thing. I'm not sure what they were trying to do here, but it does not work. read more

Wonderful Eggs Benedict, hash browns, French toast, thickly sliced ham and really great Bloody Marys! We have stopped in for a drink and enjoyed their bar at Happy Hour. I went in to the Drag Bingo, on a Sunday afternoon and was just astounded!! It was fantastic! Everything was set up with the most delicious buffet, all fresh and delectable. Then the "Ladies" showed up to start up a wonderful, laughable, and the most fun 've had in years. Then, the Bingo started. I really liked the set up and ambiance of Altitude 15. We did get there late night after a day of visiting other places around downtown Oly. The service was good. Walk up, order what you want, get a number, and go find a seat. They bring your food and mixed drinks to you. The wings were good. Hot honey wasn't really hot. Fried Mac-n-cheese bits were really good. Deviled eggs had a strange taste but were good. Overall, we will be back. read more
