Wow. I am thrilled to leave this Yelp review. Get Smart Home exceeded expectations from start to finish. I posted a request for flatscreen tv installation service a little past midnight Friday night/Saturday morning, and expected to begin receiving replies first thing in the morning. I was surprised to receive a reply from Get Smart Home less than 5 minutes later asking qualifying questions. Five minutes after replying I received a quote and commitment to install two TVs on Saturday. Vlad and Stasia text me 35 minutes before the installation appointment to alert me they were on the way. They arrived on time and immediately impressed me with their professionalism: they were courteous, well mannered, personable, knowledgeable and fully prepared with the necessary tools, supplies, blankets to lay the TVs on, and booties to cover their shoes. They reviewed the TVs and desired mounting locations, asked questions about my preferences, made recommendations, set expectations, then went to work. They were efficient -- finishing both installations and cleaning up within an hour -- and most importantly, delivered results that again exceeded expectations. I am impressed with the quality of Vlad and Stasia's work and the excellent experience of working with them. Highest recommendation for Vlad! He perfectly consolidated all our components for TV, 5.1 surround sound, even our vintage DVD BlueRay, VCR and Wii. When it was apparent the new receiver would not fit our cabinet, we asked that he just cut out the back wall to fit. (Our old console was particle board.) Well, turns out THIS cabinet was over 1" thick solid and he went out to buy a thicker saw blade! But never complained. It took 5 hours, not 2, and he came back for second visit to program the remotes. Vlad is very patient, courteous, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. I recently move to my new house and after unpacking for 2 days non-stop I realized that I need my TV back in my Life. It was 10 am Wednesday morning when I called Get Smart Home to get some quotes and I got my 2 TVs mounted with all wires hidden, 3 security cameras installed, Wi-fi setup by 5 pm same day. They were so professional and knowledgeable in what they were doing. Vlad also advised me about smart locks that I'm going to get next week and I'm calling Get Smart Home in for installment. They even covered their shoes so my floors would stay clean (even though that there was a mess everywhere because of my unpacking). Vlad is the man - he was super responsive from the start and made our entire smart home installation super simple. He mounted 2 TVs, hid wires behind the walls (including cutting in the plates and organizing all the electronics in the closet), installed our Nest security system, 2 outdoor cameras, 5 indoor cameras, our smart doorbell, and worked on our thermostat. These guys were able to come the same day to mount 2 of my TV's. It took the about 1.5 hours to mount both tv's, I've got a $10 discount for the second tv. And I really like how they concealed the cables - I live in the rental property and we couldn't wall fish wires in the wall, and the way they did it on the wall looks pretty good for me, they're barely noticeable. I really wish I could give a positive review for this company. They were responsive, punctual, and generally friendly. However, after shelling out over $3000, they left my install incomplete and tried to charge me more to come back and finish the job correctly. If I were doing the job, I'd stand behind my work 100%, unfortunately that's not the case here. These guys were referred to me by a home media company. Vlad came to inspect all of the equipment and take measurements well in advance of the install. From this, he gave me a quote and although it seemed high, I scheduled them because of the referral and their supposed experience. I'm happy to say they came on time and had a very good work ethic. We had a short back and forth about where to place the media rack at first (they suggested putting it in the utility room...with the furnace and water heater??) but finally agreed to accommodate me by putting in the closet on an adjacent wall. Then they tried to convince me that a single speaker wire is enough to transmit stereo sound from a record player. A speaker cable has two wires, a positive and negative for ONE channel/speaker (you obviously need two for any Left/Right channel setup). I took that as a sign of them trying to rush the job but I let that go because it wasn't even really part of the main deal. The real problem comes from how they mounted the projector. It is improperly installed, too close to the screen so the picture does not fill the screen but leaves an 8" gap on all sides. They alerted me to this and I tried to work with them to find a solution but they did not want to try anything and decided to leave. So I reluctantly paid them and even asked Vlad how I could be assured they'd finish the job. He assured me they would, but surprise surprise, would only do it for more money. Then, upon speaking with the media company who referred them, they called attention to the side speakers, saying they installed were too close to the front speakers to create a truly surround sound effect so they have to be redone. I decided not to ask them to fix those following the already poor experience with the projector mount. All in all, this is the recourse. I shouldn't have paid them the full amount until the job was done as agreed. Now I'm going to have to hire one of their competitors to fix it. Best quote I got from yelp by far, owner showed up and installed my TV two hours after making the bid. I bought a 55 inch TV online over Thanksgiving and didn't realize I'd need to mount it to a wall to fit the room. I figured that there would probably be a catch when he showed up, since he was charging half what other companies on yelp were quoting me and was showing up in a matter of hours instead of days, but the service came as advertised. I provided the mount myself and he installed it later that day for 75 dollars. After I paid him he gave me a business card and made a very modest, almost apologetic pitch for other services they offer in the same vein, but there was no pressure involved. I found Vlad, here on Yelp while I was working at 2am. I requested a quote, not thinking he'd reply almost immediately to schedule an appointment! He gave me the best price, by far, to mount my TV and he recommended I buy my own mount since it would be cheaper; knowing he could have made a little more money by having me purchase one from him. He arrived on time, right after I moved a counch into my apartment (my own poor timing) and was happy to help me arrange it in the living room. He even drilled the legs on with his how power drill once I realized I couldn't with a regular screwdriver. The TV is mounted flawlessly with the sound bar over my fireplace and the cords neatly organized and zip-tied (since they couldn't be hidden in the wall due to the nature of the apartment). Needless to say, he exceeded all of my expectations by going above and beyond what he was there to do. Please use his services over anyone else for your home entertainment needs!
