It was a great experience working with Alum Works. I got quotes from three vendors including, Alum Works. One was significantly overpriced. Alum Works and another vendor provided similar pricing but Alum Works offered more creative ideas and ultimately helped me save money. Naz, who prepared the quote, came out twice to review the project. Ish later returned to take final measurements, and the installation crew arrived as scheduled and completed the work professionally. Naz also coordinated with their roller shades partner, Daryl, to help me add roller shades to the patio cover. There were a few minor issues along the way, and my louvers needed adjustments on two separate occasions. Each time, Alum Works was responsive and never hesitated to send someone out. Alex, Ish and even Drew personally came by to make sure everything was adjusted properly and that I was satisfied with the final results. I highly recommend Alum Works to friends and family for their patio cover needs. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Eyal, Ish, Jenny and team at Alum Works. I received 3 separate quotes for an insulated new 12x12 patio. One of the quotes was crazy low leaving me questioning the quality. The next quote was on the very high end with an overly sales-y presentation. The last quote was from Eyal at Alum Works. The quote was right in the middle but they were the only company that offered to do a louvered patio for me which was what we really wanted. In the end, it ended up costing more but it gave us our dream patio and we are ecstatic with the results. My patio supplies arrived in roughly a week and was installed in just one day by Ish and team. Jenny was so incredibly flexible with installment payments. We were looking for a patio cover in 2025. Met with Tony Alumworks designer. We liked the materials offered, and he understood what we wanted. Got an estimate and contract from Business Manager Jenny. Drew, the owner of Alummworks, took measurements, and offered good advice. Installation was set for 12-19 2025. Crew came early and got to work. They looked organized and knew what to do. Later noticed that there were two spots on wall where one beam was to be attached.. The foreman, Kevin, said they made a mistake with where it went. Stucco was ruined but too late. Came out a minutes later and they had drilled the other side then moved it back to the original spot!! Three times and first time was correct. A cover is extruded metal. Made to be straight and square. There is NO way to make it go in ANY other direction. Damage was done. They cut notch in roof fascia for clearance. Fascia had been cut for the two wrong spots and wood scraps stuck on with caulking. The beam was making contact with fascia allowing for wood rot when wet. Installation started 12-19, finished 12-20, Kevin said that ours was the last job before their holiday vacation. I contacted Drew 12-22. He left for holidays. He returned 1-5 and came 1-9. I looked at the cover and saw many small holes on the other attached beam that were plugged with caps. When Drew came I asked what they were. He said he did not know. Later saw that those holes are to attach the roof to the main beam. 32 holes total. They measured wrong and kept drilling wrong holes. Instead of realizing the beam was ruined the decision was made to install, plug holes, and not say anything. I started to repair the stucco. Kevin plugged 12 holes. Sloppy repair so I removed it. There was no wood inside the wall and the beam was not attached. I opened the inside wall. NO wood and the beam attached with 1 out of 6 bolts. When it was installed they did not hit wood so decision was made to use only one and not say anything. With an issue like that work should be stopped and a different approach used. I never would have found out except for the ruined stucco. Leaving it like that was completely unsafe to our personal safety and our house. I contacted Drew who dismissed it, defended Kevin, and called it "embarrassing". When I sent photos his attitude changed. He didn't come to look but suggested a "fix" that was not doable with broken stucco and cover assembled. I'm sure he understood what happened and what was needed to fix. At this point I had NO confidence in Alumworks. I made a wood "plate" fastened to the framing to surround the un-attached beam fasteners and fill with construction adhesive inside the wall. Long complicated repair that was the ONLY way outside of disassembling the entire cover. I had all stucco repaired and a hand applied finish done. House is sprayed stucco so the repair does not match. I cut a gap in the fascia around the beam and replaced the sloppy "repair" wood pieces. Over 40 hours fixing these issues. I messaged Alumworks and shared photos of repairs. Jenny responded someone would get back to me. Weeks ago. No contact since. I don't like to leave negative reviews for small businesses. This was such a blatant surprise I have no choice. The 4K materials and Solara louvered roof are very well made and what we envisioned. Unfortunately the Alumworks installation and the complete lack of respect for us and our home, concern for their work, and followup is horrible. I am angry that I had to finish job I paid for. I overpaid for what was promised and contracted for. The bad beam and stucco will be a reminder and the installation will always be suspect. This is also an indicator that the warranty with Alumworks is worthless. This was supposed to be a fun purchase. We are completely disappointed. This was not the first cover this crew installed. Makes you wonder about them all. read more

I got several estimates for a patio cover for our backyard. Some were wildly expensive, some were much less but with cheap materials and a cheap look. Alumworks was a perfect middle ground of affordability and high quality materials. We thought we would not be able to afford the adjustable louvres from other companies based on quotes we got, but we are happily enjoying our adjustable roof patio cover. We just had a new insulated Alumawood patio cover installed by Alum Works, and we absolutely love it. Eyal was great to work with, explained everything very clearly, and was communicative throughout the whole process. He was even able to work around some other construction work we were having done, and hold off on installing until that was completed. That helped us out a lot! Jenny was also a pleasure to work with and helped us get the permit, which was no easy task. The crew led by Frank did a great job installing the whole thing in about a day and a half -- amazing! We got it installed with 2 outlets and a ceiling fan, and everything works and looks great. It just passed the final inspection from the city, and we've already been enjoying it. I did a lot of research on different materials and got quotes from many contractors, and we quickly realized aluminum was the best way to go for our needs. Our roof in the back comes down very low, so attaching it to the wall would have been way too low. And attaching a wood patio cover to our roof would have required extensive engineering plans. Alum Works was able to attach it to our roof over the eaves, allowing for a 9 foot tall ceiling. It's luxurious! We had some friends over this past weekend, and they were all admiring how good it looked. It truly transformed our space. We get so much sun in our backyard that summer's before were pretty miserable, but under this new patio cover it's the perfect space for entertaining or just enjoying a drink. It not only provides shade, but the insulation keeps it much cooler. And being able to turn on the ceiling fan when we need it is a huge plus. We just had our 2nd patio cover installed by Alum Works in Huntington Beach. We are so happy with the end result!!! We choose Iian because he Guided us through everything, from the design look, costs and time frame. We had 2 of these shade structures installed and we absolutely LOVE them. He even installed electrical outlets in posts, ceiling fans and outdoor speakers. We had the pool project going on and he came in right on schedule after pool completed to install these beautiful shade structures. We had just completed a complete backyard remodel and wanted an aluminum pergola to cover our entire patio. We had a couple of estimates (both for fixed slats) but both said that the only way we could have an appropriate height would be to either remove a significant portion of our roof tiles (which would have negatively impacted our roof) or remove the rain gutters (which would have sent water, during rains, all over our patio furniture. We then met with Eyal of Alum Works who immediately discussed a bracketing system that would allow the pergola to be at the appropriate height without having to do anything with either the roof or rain gutter. He also suggested louvres, rather than slats, which would allow for movement (from open to closed) to be able to control the amount of light that enters. He also noted that when fully closed, the louvres are watertight. Alum Works pricing was a bit higher than the other bids, but given Eyal's engineering design, we did not require any other "construction" to make it work and we had the benefit of motorized louvres. It was a no-brainer decision. Once we ordered everything, Eyal returned to remeasure to ensure that the order was correct. Within a few weeks, the materials arrived and Eyal and his crew had everything installed within about three days. Their work was efficient and respectful of our property. They repeatedly checked-in with us to ensure that we were pleased with the product and to respond to any questions we might have. At the end of each day, they completely cleaned-up so our patio remained useable. There is absolutely no concern on our part about recommending Eyal and Alum Works to anybody interested in a pergola.
