When my old wood patio cover had problems with dry rot and having to be repainted every couple of years, my wife and I decided to look to a metal roof. We went with a new A4 Aluminum roof product that was offered by Michael of Elite L.A. Patios. The finish on it looks great and I expect it to hold up substantially better than wood. Michael has an installation crew (Ricardo, Mario, and David) who were extremely accommodating. They took down the old structure and installed a beautiful new one with great attention to detail. In August of 2021 we purchased our first single family home in Huntington Beach and knew we wanted to put in an outdoor kitchen and patio cover for some shade. Michael and his team built us a massive 4K aluminum patio cover, which came out better than we could have imagined. The cover is 10' tall and has a 3" lattice that extends the entire length of the outdoor space. We wanted a clean modern look to go with the style of our house so we went with the color espresso. We also wanted to add a privacy screen behind the outdoor kitchen to give the space an outdoor room-type feel even though the patio is not actually enclosed. The lattice provides just enough sun and just enough shade that we can use our backyard any time of day, all year round. Unfortunately we ran into some supply chain issues which delayed a portion of the material about 12 weeks, but once the material arrived, Michael kept his promise to put us first on his list for completion and he absolutely delivered. I had been looking for new patio covers to replace old and rotted wood structure simply because I couldn't stand to look at it anymore or, direct people to move away from it, fearing it would soon fall on someone. What if I want two separate units but want it to look seamless? Again, no issue. So I wait for the estimate which I was sure would be astronomical because I'd presented too many roadblocks, expecting the price of a new kid or I was convinced that I'd run them off. Neither! End of day, I receive the estimate, fully detailing everything I'd thrown at them. And we could still eat. Like, real food. Things are set in motion within the week, Shay returning with color samples he'd had cut and color matched - no dangly swatch thing, and materials are ordered. Two weeks later, I'm sitting in the blissful shade of my own patio writing this review. Literally a vibe! It's transformed both the look and feel of my home. The Search My wife and I had been searching for a patio installer for almost a year. We wanted a patio that was simple and modern and honestly didn't think it would be this hard - either the patio companies we reached out to were too busy for us or the materials and look of their patios were dated (and expensive for what it was). My wife did a ton of research and discovered the 4K product. After reaching out to the manufacturer they put us in contact with another contractor who came out and gave us a bid; however, the prices seemed expensive and everything was an "extra charge". Undeterred, my wife reached out to the manufacturer again and they put us in contact with Elite LA Patios. We are so glad they did. The Find Michael was like a breath of fresh air. The same day we called Elite LA Patios and spoke with Natasha (his "right hand"), she communicated with Michael and he was able to come by within a couple of hours to look at our project. Michael has such an easygoing, friendly personality - we immediately liked him, but he was also very professional and knowledgeable about the 4K product and the design options available without being pushy at all. As the previous reviewer wrote: "he does not pressure or talk down on you" and it's so true. He was able to design our huge patio with just one post (which we love) - by way of comparison, the first contractor who came out said we would have to have two posts. Michael was prompt in getting us a quote, which was very reasonable for the quality of the product. Additionally, Michael went out of his way to help us install recessed lights in the patio - that was only a couple of hundred dollars whereas the first contractor said it would be $5K. The Result While waiting for the materials to arrive Natasha remained in contact with us by providing regular updates, which we appreciated. Natasha is so friendly and we just felt like we were in good hands. On the day of installation Micheal remained on site with his crew to oversee the project, which we respect. Michael and his crew had the patio constructed in one day! His crew (the "A Team") were polite and professional and even cleaned the site better than it was before they started by pressure washing and putting back the furniture.
