I originally contacted a competitor company in Lakewood whose owner was very rude, discourteous and disinterested. He did however send out a pleasant serviceman who determined that our ac would likely need a new motor to get it working and suggested that due to the expense of a motor replacement I might be better served investing that money into a new AC. That made sense but it had worked fine until recently so I chose to get a second opinion. After my poor experience I chose not to use the Lakewood company any further. Several friends who are long term, satisfied customers, highly recommended Bay Heating and Air Conditioning after I told them about my previous experience. So I called the people at Bay who were very courteous and professional and they scheduled their tech Marty to came out within a few days. Marty was absolutely AMAZING and for the mere price of a service call, he diligently repaired our AC. It was not an easy fix! Although I am planning on purchasing a new air conditioner and furnace in the near future, Marty enabled us to get by for awhile until we're in a better position financially to make the purchase. Marty is an "Air Conditioner Whisperer"!!! Because of Marty's exceptional knowledge, determination and expertise he saved us a great deal of money. I'm very grateful to Marty and Bay Heating and Air Conditioning and fully intend to purchase my new Air Conditioner and Furnace from them in the months to come... and to continue to use them for all of our heating and air conditioning needs.

Sal was extremely professional in sending out their repair person. However, the person who came…read morewas very unfriendly. When I asked him to wear a mask, he refused. When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. From 10/20/2025 till 1/2026 Sals has charged us 6,102.00 On 2/10/2026 we were presented with two more estimates: 1) 3,627.00 for further repairs . 2) 18,180.00 total replacement of Boiler It is my fear that they feel an additional 3,627.00 will not fix the boiler in entirety so they included an estimate of full replacement of system. 2) Replacement of boiler system in its entirety: 18,180.00 We have moved on and will not be using Sals service for any additional repairs/work This matter will appear on your website reviews and am submitting to the BBB

Just had a new a/c unit installed by LK after mine very old unit died. My install was a little…read moredifferent from others due to handler being in crawl space. Most of the units used were too big to even fit in our small crawl space without possible major modifications needing to be done to the house. LK came back and looked at it again, agreed it might be a big job, but will see what they could come up with. Just a few hours later, they had found a supplier that had a unit that would fit, cutting the larger labor costs and modification costs! It was the best news after a long road trying to get this done. The guys who put it in did an amazing job, especially dealing with the tight space they had to work with. They left zero mess, and couldn't have been nicer. We are so happy with the new unit, and it is working so much better than we had even hoped!
