Waited two weeks for a professional to come out and give me a quote, they quoted me $7000 for something that I could install myself for $2000 couldn't wait for them to leave after they gave me a quote ... potential customers beware I told the guy who came out and gave me a quote all I needed was air-conditioning in my attic. OUTSTANDING! I needed a service call to repair an old, non working, whole house air conditioner. I originally contacted a competitor company in Lakewood whose owner was very rude, discourteous and disinterested. He did however send out a pleasant serviceman who determined that our ac would likely need a new motor to get it working and suggested that due to the expense of a motor replacement I might be better served investing that money into a new AC. That made sense but it had worked fine until recently so I chose to get a second opinion. After my poor experience I chose not to use the Lakewood company any further. Several friends who are long term, satisfied customers, highly recommended Bay Heating and Air Conditioning after I told them about my previous experience. So I called the people at Bay who were very courteous and professional and they scheduled their tech Marty to came out within a few days. Marty was absolutely AMAZING and for the mere price of a service call, he diligently repaired our AC. It was not an easy fix! Although I am planning on purchasing a new air conditioner and furnace in the near future, Marty enabled us to get by for awhile until we're in a better position financially to make the purchase. Marty is an "Air Conditioner Whisperer"!!! Because of Marty's exceptional knowledge, determination and expertise he saved us a great deal of money. I had Martin and he was great! He was on time helped me learn about what was happening then provided me insight into how to fix and then proceeded to fix my AC unit. I had diagnosed something much more expensive from watching YouTube and doing my own research. When Martin did his analysis he told me it was better than I had thought and completed the work. Contacted Bay via email regarding new installation of central air, furnace, mini split system and humidification. Requested a reply to my email and never heard back from them until I sent it again to find out they don't provide service in Seven Hills. Such a highly professional company and they show such common courtesy to people.... all it took was 30 seconds to respond to my email is all I expected regardless of the answer. read more

Been around forever and courteous. But their practices lead me to think they believe they are at the top of the food chain. Spent thousands with them on a new furnace and AC, required multiple callbacks for system failures. The final straw was when they suggested I pay $200 for an overtime call or wait a week when the $3-4000 AC failed for the second time. I expected to pay for a service call but I'm not paying a premium for them to fix their own faulty equipment and prior work. It is still under warranty, I can't undo our decision to buy Carrier, but we can change services. We contacted another company and they are coming today. I own other property, Bay won't darken our doors. read more

Other than this, my family used their company for over a decade when we lived in Westlake proper from 1972-1983. I can't attest to service quality, but the lady I spoke with was very apologetic for no longer having service to my area. I inquired as to an alternative & she provided reference to one other for which I plan to check with. read more

My A/C went out this past Saturday. Luckily, the weather wasn't really hot. I sent an email to Bay and they responded first thing this morning. The techs arrived in the early afternoon and had the problem fixed quickly. I bought the heating and A/C system seven years ago and this is the first time we had a real problem with it. This is the second time i have used this company first time my heat was not properly working and it was a tripped breaker they didnt even charge me a service call today martin taylor found a dirty air filter impeding the furnace they could have recommended a new furnace and i would have bought it their complete honesty and integrity has given me absolute confidence in thiis company they do whats right first and look to their corporate profits last i cant even say enough about how integrity in this unregulated industry gives me peace of mind to value them if you get an opportunity to need an hvac co you would be foolish to use or trust anyone else i know when im ready they will be their to do other work for me and i use contractors weekly and i always get burned not with these folks they sleep at night because their motto is to do the right thing for the customer. Do yourself a favor and don't even think about calling any other heating and air conditioning company in northern Ohio: Bay Furnace & Air Conditioning is by far the most professional, experienced and honest heating company around. A week before Thanksgiving and two days before the first snow fall here in Bay Village, Ohio, the smoke and carbon monoxide detector alarm inexplicably went off in my 91 year-old mother's home. The first heating company I paid to diagnose the problem concluded that my mother needed a whole new furnace and chimney liner installed immediately after a cursory inspection of the heat exchange unit and shut the furnace off and turned off the gas. I called Marty at Bay Furnace for a second opinion and combustion test and I am so very glad I did! The Smoke/CO detectors needed replacement, NOT the furnace! Thank you, thank you, Marty, for being honest and saving my elderly mother and me several thousand of dollars replacing a furnace that did not to be need replaced, and Sandy for sending Marty out when your phones were ringing off the hook right before the holidays! This company is great to work with! The staff is extremely friendly and very willing to work with your schedule. I called about a pilot light that went out on a furnace and a gas smell. They were completely booked for the day but told me they could come over after hours (which would be more expensive). That was fine with me because I was worried about the gas smell. When I scheduled the appointment the woman said that if someone finished a job ahead of schedule they would give me a ring. She called me back about 25 minutes later and said they could have someone there in 45 minutes and it was still during regular business hours (regular pricing). The guy they sent was awesome and extremely friendly as well. I would absolutely recommend this company! Also, when they came out to another property of mine, they told me I could print out a coupon they had online to save money. Who doesn't love saving $$$$? read more

Have only used Bay Furnace for the last 16 years until now.... In the winter of 2014 I had the blower motor replaced on my furnace. It went out again in September 2015. I had the technician out and he said it had to be replaced again. I told him that since I just had it replaced less than 2 years ago for $600.00 I would be getting other estimates. He said to make sure that when I get estimates I find a company that uses OEM parts for my Carrier Furnace because some less reputable companies do not use OEM parts. Good advice! Unfortunately, I discovered that the motor that Bay Furnace replaced in 2014 was NOT an OEM (Carrier) motor. They did offer this time to install the Carrier motor for $440.00. I guess I should consider them "less reputable" since I had no idea that the motor they installed in 2014 was not a Carrier motor. I will now take the advice of the Bay Furnace technician and only work with reputable HVAC companies which does not include Bay Furnace. read more
