Known Bob for almost 50 years now and worked with him on tons of projects. There is nothing he can't do, or hasn't already done. There is nothing that can replace experience and accumulated knowledge like a lifelong building contractor like Bob. Go look at the home he lives in on Madrona Point in Bremerton and see his fantastic improvements. He also is a good designer and loaded with good ideas. Lance Haynes

After we discovered some water damage and wood rot, we agreed to raise the bid to $15,000. Yet, Bob has not completed this project on a timely basis. He has repeatedly refused to provide me with a written bid. He stretched what began as a simple 3 or 4 week roof replacement project out over 15 weeks. During the course of this project, Bob flipped. Two weeks after completing this project, Bob presented me with a six handwritten page attempt to bill me $24,162 for labor and materials. He never mentioned that he intended to charge me $42.50/hour to deliver materials to my home that could have been delivered by the lumberyard for $49.00 or free. His handwritten records even failed to account for one of the $2000 checks that I had already paid him. I've subsequently contacted two reputable contractors and had them provide me with written bids to establish the value of work and repair performed by Bob Padgett. The average of their bids was $15,363. I have paid Bob Padgett $16,000 to date. Please caution any homeowners from doing business with Bob Padgett. In my experience, Bob Padgett is more of a salesman than a carpenter. The workmanship of his repairs may be up to industry standards, but Bob is deceptive and untrustworthy. He has not been up front with me, to say the least, as he has refused to keep me posted on the progress of the remodel. He has not provided me with any written bids or written receipts. He has failed to perform this work on a timely basis. He has blamed the delay on his brother's broken down vehicle, when, in fact, his brother was actually recovering from colon surgery. When I told Bob that I would take care of the sun room's brick and mortar floor repair, Bob did the work anyway. And, of course, Bob tried to charge me. Bob didn't even follow through to schedule the final building inspection for my remodel. Thus, I'm having to complete the remaining finish work, cross off my punch list, and schedule the final inspection myself. I've recently learned that Bob Padgett, a.k.a. Padgett Builders, Inc., has been embroiled in two lawsuits brought against him by a subcontractor and a homeowner. Bob lost both cases and is now forced to come up with thousands of dollars. This explains why Bob Padgett has been trying to rob Peter (and homeowners like me) to pay Paul. Homeowners beware. Do not allow Padgett Builders on your property or near your home.
