Amada is an excellent restaurant inside Ocean Casino Resort. Ate here for their new Sunday brunch. Everything was excellent. Great variety of food options. Their carving stations were great. Tried their sangria pancakes and crab benedict special menu items which were excellent. Service was top notch as well. Great drink menu and options. Restaurant very clean and organized right. Only criticism here is the marketing of the new brunch. Not advertised much throughout the property. This needs to change. Should be posted more throughout the property and through the digital displays (signage throughout property, room TV info displays/channels, etc.). This not authentic Spaniard food. The food is not as fresh as expected. Everything is over cooked in oil. Out of 10 appetizers the only one was ok was the "the stuffed peppers with crab meat" which I had to put the sauce in a side to have a better taste of the crab meat. Service was good. I was recently at the Ocean Casino celebrating an anniversary. We had a reservation at Amada on the July 28th. They made us wait 20 minutes before I approached a young man with a beard and asked him how much longer. After about 5 more minutes he spot us and proceeded to take us to table. He was Rude and abrupt. He took us to a dark horrible table by the bar away from Ocean Views. An area you would think would be reserved for walk-in ins. I looked around and noticed empty tables with Ocean Views but he said they are reserved for larger parties. Some of the tables could be used for two. He was rude and not accommodating. My husband and I looked at each other and said let's go. I said yo bearded man as we were leaving. We walked in to Amada early to get a few appys and they gave us a beautiful seat by the window, we hit the jackpot because we had the BEST waitress, her name is Ada. She was amazing and we tried everything that she recommended and she was so on point, she was the best waitress that we've had in quite some time, she was knowledgeable, sweet, attentive and gracious. The restaurant has a beautiful ocean view but if you want to sit by a window you need to mention that when making reservations. The service is exceptional. Our server was extremely hospitable. The dishes were very small. We ordered garlic shrimp (7 tiny shrimp) and steamed clams (manilla clams (which are very tiny anyway) both tasty but certainly not enough to make a meal. We also ordered short rib flat bread - unless you like spanish cheese - you won't like the flatbread. Also garlic mushrooms - ok. Had a white wine sangria - bitter white wine with a few apple pieces cut up - worst sangria I have ever had. It seems like the dishes were pre-made and just heated before bringing to the table. I went for dinner and had a reservation on Open Table where I noted it was my bday. We ordered a few tapas (all good. some great. Food only would be a 4 star). I also ordered a glass of Garnacha (which is a red grape wine) and the waiter took forever getting me my wine and then it was the wrong one, it was a white wine. By this point I wasn't in the mood to complain or send it back. Maybe I should have though. When we finished I asked for the check. The way it was presented I thought it was on the house. The check comes and I was charged for the creme brûlée. I notified the waiter and he informed it wasn't a mistake and that the dessert was not on the house. This is my problem with that. If I wanted to order a dessert why would I have asked for the check already? The fact that he asks me after I already requested for the check, that fact in itself gives the idea that this was something on the house. That's like someone asking for a check and then the waiter saying "oh no you don't want the check. you want a $10 dessert you didn't ask for. I know what you want better than you" All that said I asked to speak to a manager and the manager immediately took it off but the whole thing shouldn't have happened that way in the first place. read more

Probably the best restaurant in Ocean, next to Dolce Mare. You have got to go during Happy Hour if you can, cheap apps and drinks are always the way to go. If there are two things you have got to get during your visit, it's the Red Sangria and the Garlic Shrimp. The sangria is go refreshing and the shrimp are nice and hot and garlicky. I treated myself to a night in Atlantic City last night, & before I even left to go there, I was trying to figure out where to eat, so with a little research, I found out that Chef Jose Garces had a restaurant there called Amada. That right there made my mind up for me. Being that I love trying new foods, I couldn't help but to order new items that I never tried before. The 1st dish that I ordered was the Pulpo Tapas. The confit potatoes, before tasting them, had a smoky aroma to them. Upon tasting them, the potatoes just melt in your mouth from being so soft and had a fresh, lemony taste. It also tasted as if the potatoes picked up some of the woodsy flavor from the platter that it was served on. I have never had octopus before, but it was beyond delicious! It had a calamari-like texture, but my favorite part was the bacon-like, wood smoked flavor. I was beyond impressed. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta. There is not enough that can be said about this dish! The vermicelli was in a cream sauce that had slices of scallions in it. This gave an oniony flavor as if there were sauteed onions marinated in the cream sauce. without being overpowering. The clams added the saltiness that the dish is looking for to balance with the sweetness of the sauce, as well as the sweetness of the perfectly seared scallop placed on the pasta. For dessert, I ordered ice cream, but this wasn't your run-of-the-mill ice cream. This was a blast out of the park ice cream. I have never heard of olive oil ice cream, so of course I was intrigued and had to try it. When I first put my spoon into the ice cream, I just saw this amazingly soft, creamy texture that I have not seen in any ice cream that I have bought in any store. The flavor was almost like vanilla but had more of a woodsy flavor to it. read more

I can't say enough great things about Amada! My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my birthday and we opted for the chefs menu with wine pairing. The menu included about 12 rounds of food so we left totally stuffed! Some of the standouts were: the tuna with homemade garlic crackers, ham, peppers, steak, and mushroom risotto. We are still shocked that the steak course was an entire steak! Probably one of the best steaks we've ever had (and we frequently eat at highly rated steak houses in the city). We ordered a few tapas with a pitcher of red sangria. The shrimp was not grilled it was soaked in olive oil with no flavor. The batatas bravas weren't even potatoes to speak of they were rolled little tubes with cheese on top. The chorizo were just a sausage cut up on toothpicks no flavor. And the octopus wasn't even a whole tentacle but small bits cut up. A joke to charge the prices they did. The ambiance was ok server lacked lackluster. View is beautiful if u get lucky with a booth by window but those are only reserved for high rollers. Gave it two stars for the sangria which was spot On! read more

Not sure if the waiter got lost in the wilderness of the restaurant but everything was overall too slow for me. The food was pretty salty for my taste and we had also ordered the lobster paella. We were super super excited for this dish especially since it took 1 HOUR for preparation. The rice was undercooked - maybe that's just the dish to make it crispy. It just didn't seem like it was worth it for the wait or the price at that point. 75$ I would recommend this place for a date for some tapas which we're good enough or for a couple drinks.
