Truly enjoyed this place. Some friends pick up a meal and brought it to my home when I was recovering from a medical situation. I think it sped up my recovery as I was eager to experience the restaurant in person. Best honey walnut shrimp I have ever had. recently we needed care for my grandmother, we were told we would have one consistent caregiver, the first day we had one then the next day a new one, then we find out she would only be here 3 days a week and when I called Enma in scheduling she says oh ya I'm still working on finding another person. then when they finally get another person in here, the caregivers don't take her to the restroom all day, theycame in and moved everything around in the house, rearranged furniture, went in my parents bedroom when I reported this to the company they gor very defensive and rude. implied I was lying about the caregivers, the caregiver parked down the street from my house and stayed clocked in when she wasn't even providing care, while we took her to a Dr appt. when I decided to cancel services enma became very rude once again and hung up on me. for a company who is supposed to providing care for seniors and being helpful they sure dont provide care, they just care about the money! and the HR manager Monica and scheduler Enma are both very rude. read more

A family member was put into Amada Senior care and they had no choice but to take him out of this facility due to disregard for the shotty care this facility gave to him, a Veteran who fought in the Korean War. When was admitted to this facility, he was able to walk yet after staying there he was bedridden, put on a straight jacket at night, they were supposed to bathe him however, his genital àrea developed an infection. The Nurse from VA said "everything was ok". He lost weight . Do not place a family member in this facility. read more

One due to 0 not being an option. 1. Sales team - excellent used car sales people in training (and I'm in automotive!) 2. Communication - speak slowly, write it out, have them verify (twice) because I guarantee they still won't get it right. 3. Actual caregivers are horrific human beings ... clocking in just early and late enough to pad their shifts even though most showed up late. 4. Those that did come would refuse to perform items Stated In Their Own pitch - I had to literally highlight their contract and resend it to them to remind them of what they should be doing. 5. Communicating to a loved one or logging any notes - like when medication was taken (also power of attorney) of the shift was like trying to pull teeth ... so people just leave their loved ones and assume all is going well ... maybe okay with an bother group - but Amada has yet to understand what their business is about. I highly recommend finding Anyone Other than this company if they love the one they are trying to find help for ... even a baby monitor would provide you better piece of mind -- also a great idea - geek a camera for the home if you do go this route - maybe an 'watchful' eye is what's required a job done. read more

Our entire experience - from the initial consultation to the last day of care we needed was excellent. We had 24-hour care for 10 full days. Scott and Cathy explained everything to us, and William did an amazing job with last minute scheduling. Scott and Cathy have a wealth of knowledge and resources about care giving they shared with us. Credit extended to us unknowingly when their EFTs to our bank failed. So instead of stopping services after the first EFT decline, Amada Kept billing and billing. They continued to bill after multiple EFTs failed. They continued to bill for care after we requested Amada and the caregiver to stop providing service. They continued to provide in home services even after we moved them out of their house and into a full time care retirement home 20+ miles away from there contracted residence. I know Amada has GPS monitoring so they had to know something was up. They kept billing us even after the EFTs were declined due to card reported as lost/stolen. When we finally realized they had not stopped billing. So they essentially extended us credit we did not ask for. I offered them a an offer and compromise that I thought they was fair but they have not budged. However they did send me this email with this at the end: "we have mailed the attached final notice and expect to hear from you by October 4, 2022 or this account will be sent to collections and our legal team. You will be obligated to cover attorney fees, collection fees and interest" read more

I live in the northeast, but my aunt is in Orange County. After she had a fall, we realized she wouldn't be able to live by herself anymore. Her dementia had also started to worsen so my family was pretty concerned about her overall. I started looking into senior care companies in OC who send caregivers to people's homes, and I found Amada online. They were great on the phone, very understanding and knowledgeable. My aunt had a long-term care insurance policy that she didn't know how to activate, but Amada was able to file the claim and handle all the paperwork for us. Once that was done, they took care of everything! She started with 20 hours of care per week, but now they come in 6 hours every day and it has honestly been a lifesaver. A huge thanks to Dina and Scott for caring for my aunt like she is family, and for giving me and my family peace of mind. read more

I am only giving them a one because there are no O stars available My parents were in need of home care so I called Amada at the recommendation of a friend. For two days I called and left six messages, I even called and emailed the corporate office to ask for a call back so that I could start service for my parents. Each time I called the local office I was told that the person responsible for taking my call, Scott, was with a client and he would call me back as soon as he was finished. The two times I called the corporate office my call went to voicemail. I got no reply from my email. After two days of not receiving any return calls, I asked the receptionist at the El Toro office If someone besides Scott could please call me back and get the ball rolling, she transferred me to Leila who assured me she was going to have someone call me back right away or she would call me back herself. Three hours later, still no call back from anyone. I finally moved on, and called another agency. I fear if Amada can't even return a phone call for new business, the care for my parents may be limited as well. read more

They are super flexible with scheduling (great for full time or a second job) and every person in the office is extremely nice and helpful. 1 star for the billing department, 4 for the actual workers. Serious communication breakdowns with this company. The billing department says they will invoice you every two weeks and I have yet to recieve one, after months of care. Getting a rash of ten invoices at a time, with thousands due at a time, is just not reasonable or doable for the average family. This company just didn't seem to understand or care about all the legalities in taking over an estate as a Power of Attorney. It takes time. Banking accounts and such follow a lengthy process to access. They don't care, threaten to end services via text messages, and threaten your elderly loved one's care services... just makes for a highly stressful and completely awful experience. Would not recommend this company based on their billing department's process and lack of reasonable correspondence alone. read more

I was in a stressful situation trying to find a place for my 50 year old sister who is terminally ill. It was a fluke that I got Scotts name and number and I called him on a whim asking for his help. He asked me a few questions about my sisters needs and it's 3 days later and my sister is arriving today at her new board and care facility. My family recently found ourselves needing to provide in-home care for our mom who suffered a stroke. Amada was quick to help us and we cannot say enough wonderful things about their kind, caring and professional staff. Both Wendy Bravo and Malena Murrieta took wonderful care of our mom! Each was sensitive to her wishes while making sure she was attended to and never at risk of a fall or any danger. They provided the help we needed at a difficult time, and we believe our mom improved faster than expected because of Amada's services in the home. If your senior has a very minimal situation and needs only basic care, then this service might be able to handle it. But in my experience they were in over their heads from the onset but was just too greedy to admit they were failing. All they wanted was insurance money. Their caregivers are generally well intentioned, but by no means trained to deal with anything other than physical illness, not when combined with mental illness. Unfortunately management did not understand or care about the upfront advice they were given regarding the implications of mental illness, and instead plowed ahead for months without accepting responsibility for lacking skills in the area which mattered most. read more

My 89 year old Mother was living independently and had an unfortunate fall which made a change in her living conditions necessary. I was introduced to a number of different services to help this transition by our case worker. I contacted Amada and connected with Maddison McKeen. Maddison and Amada were great and a pleasure to work with. Maddison made herself available anytime to talk and was very proactive in her communication. She quickly understood our situation and suggested alternatives that were very spot on. My Mother is now in an assisted living facility and we have Amada to thank for getting the right one for her. I contacted Amada after I realized that I needed assistance since my health had gone downhill. William Strunc answered the phone and then came out to my house. We hit it off right away and I decided to use Amada. Unfortunately, right after we started, my insurance claim was cut off. William and Kaitlin were extremely helpful in getting my appeal registered with the insurance company and my claim was reopened and I am able to get the care I needed. So far everyone of the caregivers have been great and I now have a regular caregiver. I have been very pleased and would highly recommend Amada to anyone looking for in home care. Especially want to say that William has been so helpful and very aware of the type of person that I would get along with. I had two requirements, 1 - a sense of humor and, 2 be kind.
