Classic diner vibes. I would recommend a short stack and home fries paired with a coffee. This is one of my new favorite diners in RI in terms of the cost and service.

Went for breakfast with my son. He was paying so I had to jump on the offer usually it's me who pays for him lol. Walked in and was seated right away. Same waitress as usual always very friendly and great at keeping things moving in such a busy establishment. Food came out pretty quick. I ordered the hungry man scrambled with cheese, sausage & sour dough toast with blueberry pancakes. Eggs were great home fries delish toast was good just wish sausage was a little hotter but still good. Blueberry pancakes were good but a little too overloaded with blueberries which made it a little mushy. But definitely a great meal. Place is small but always busy. They get you in and out. Definitely will return.

Texas French toast was very good

Came to visit Sons here in Rhode Island and this place came up to eat. So very glad we came here the 2 ladies were friendly helpful and great environment. Food was hot and amazing and plentiful. I had French toast, Girlfriend had eggs, country potatoes hash toast and I had 2 cups of coffee. Pictures do no justice.

Amanda's is A-Ok. Cheap, fast and decent food. There are a few parking spots and on street parking. Inside it is tight but there are some tables and counter seating. Our waitress was nice, seams clean and overall a decent place to have breakfast. The heated up the coffee roll for my daughter and my french toast was soft and not too much cinnamon.

Greta Lilly breakfast place in Pawtucket. Clearly this is a spot for regulars, which is typically a good sign. It was! Very friendly and attentive staff. I sat at the counter and watched the cooks crank out the breakfasts. Pretty wide variety of standard breakfast place meals. I had the Country Benedict. Sausage and Gravy over poached eggs on an English muffin. The gravy was great and the eggs poached perfectly. I would ask for crispier muffins next time, but that's on me. The potatoes were also good. Left on the flat top to crisp up with a little bit of onion in them. Tough to decide what to order on my next visit, this was so good.

This is definitely one of the better options for diners because of the menu, but it's a little over priced for the quality. The boyfriend and I spent almost twice the amount that we normally spend and it was up the par with every other diner out there. There isn't much parking and it can be inconvenient to park in the 5 car lot on the corner of Smithfield and power Rd. Inside, it was very small but when you get a seat and ordered the food came out pretty timely. I ordered the crab cake Benedict. It was pretty good, the egg was cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was pretty tasty even though it could of used more. I also think that it could of used some kind of bread because the crab cake was way to soft to use as the base of the Benedict. I ordered the Benedict thinking the crab cake would be similar to a normal Maryland crab cake since that's what was advertised but sadly it was far from a Maryland style crab cake. The grilled blueberry muffin I got was good but it's hard to mess up a blueberry muffin. I don't know if I would so much dine here again but it is pretty good and as good as people say, just don't forget it's still a diner.

Although I hear it has recently changed ownership, the Modern, retains the vibe of days gone by. In fact, it was chosen to be the first diner in the nation to be accepted on the National Register for Historic Places. It practically oozes nostalgia. I sat at the counter and ordered a chorizo special. The menu description is "Portuguese muffin layered with chourico, 2 eggs any style, onions, peppers, and melted cheese. Served with home fries." Chorizo/chourico is a staple in RI, thanks to Portuguese immigrants. It seems a little hard to find in upstate NY, where I currently live. Having lived in RI for over 20 years, it was satisfying both as current sustenance as well as a taste memory. It was also a very generous serving. I took the rest of it in a to-go container because I'm frugal/cheap like that. The atmosphere in the place is great. It wasn't a very busy Monday morning but the patrons ranged from elderly couples, to young families, to regular working Joes, to a hipster looking fella. Something for everybody. New owners, old vibe. There's magic in this place.

Although the parking lot was busy, there were still plenty of tables available inside. There is a larger dining area in the back, but we stayed in one of the booths in the area where you first walk in. It gives old school diner vibes with the red stools, yellow/tan booths, aluminum accents, and small tile floor. The menu is comprehensive as it offers breakfast and lunch, and both sweet and savory options. My friend and I both ordered the steak and eggs ($16.99 each) but I ordered my steak medium (anticipating for it to be cooked a little heavier than medium), with scrambled eggs and cheese on top, with a grilled English muffin. The food came out after about 10-15 minutes. They did have about 4 options of hot sauces we could choose from including Frank's, Tabasco, Cholula, and Sriracha - but the only right answer is Sriracha followed by Cholula. The steak was tasty and cooked exactly how I wanted it to, with a gentle sear. The home fries were delicious as they were soft, but also had bits of fried onions to enhance the flavor. The English muffin was golden, crispy, and slightly buttery. The eggs were very fluffy and the white cheese was completely melted into them which was great. The service was good, where we got everything in a timely manner, but we didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed with questions regarding our experience.

The burger was a 6/10 , fries 6/10 and the coffee bun was 5/10, the bun was definitely house made which is good but the bread they made it out of gave off white loaf bread and I just wasn't a fan. Really brings me back to my childhood and going to Pawtucket breakfast spots with my Dad on weekends. Immediately I thought yes- reasonable breakfast prices! 2 eggs, toast and home fries $5. The equivalent to the $1.99 breakfast that was forever a Pawtucket staple. I would consider this the new bar. I did add bacon which came out super crispy- love it! I did ask for half an order of home fries which was perfect for me. I did love all the little crunchies in there. I like their home fry game here. My son had a banana pancake. A small she stated- It was as big as the plate and cost $2! I can share the waitress was very nice and I paid attention to her interactions with other patrons. They have a sign that referred to entering as a stranger but leaving as a friend. I can share they seam like they mean it here. It was a comfortable, inviting type of place and its not because of the decor but the staff.

Sometimes I'll order French toast and it's super dry and old sometimes cold, but I don't say anything because the server will drop it off and then run away and not check in at all. The main reason why I'm leaving this review is that the place closes at 2 o'clock can you at least open until three maybe four I mean it's a breakfast brunch spot.. 2 o'clock is way too early.
