My husband got The Habanero Benedict: A fried chicken breast sauced in mango habanero sauce atop a belgian waffle ... topped with house made hollandaise. Delicious, good portion and reasonably priced. I ordered hash and eggs (and a side of hollandaise) . My meal came with red bliss home fries and toast. Both the house made corned beef hash and the hollandaise were perfection. Great Service. Great Food and bonus points for being handicap accessible. The service is good. The restaurant is usually busy as it is a very popular spot. The food is good. The service is friendly overall a great experience typical diner vibes. Very small intimate space. My favorite brunch place in RI! I would come here all the time when I lived in Pawtucket -- it is such a treat every time. I order something different every time and there hasn't been a dish I dislike. Parking is limited, but you can find street parking in the area. The wait is long on the weekends, I've waited anywhere between 20-45 minutes but I think it's worth the wait every time!! The place is small but cozy, I have been to their other locations where the interior is larger but I find the Pawtucket location to be my favorite when it comes to the food and ambiance :) read more

Went on a solo breakfast adventure after work. This is a small but cozy breakfast spot. Luckily, it wasn't busy, and I was told to seat myself. A kind waitress took my drink order and brought it over while I washed my hands in their well-kept bathroom. When I returned, my coffee and water were already waiting for me. After adding creamer, the waitress came back to take my order: two chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and crispy bacon. The pancakes were warm and fluffy, with a generous pile of whipped cream on top. The bacon was thick-cut and cooked perfectly. I left that plate empty. I asked for a coffee refill -- it was the perfect temperature and blend. I paid my bill and sat for a while, enjoying the early afternoon and slowly sipping my coffee. Service is prompt and friendly, and despite the small footprint of the restaurant, they are able to squeeze in a decent number of tables. Found this while Yelping while looking for a place that can accommodate a full rostered teen soccer team for breakfast in between matches. We were able to sit outside at the tables as a team. Coming back to Rhode Island just to come back here. Are you kidding me? What a gem this place is. I love the cozy environment but it's no where near simple when it comes to their offerings and rotation of the menu and seasonal drinks. I was thoroughly impressed by the service and QUALITY of the food. Our server was kind and attentive and we took our time enjoying every single bite. We went here a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to post this review. Service was 10/10. She was really nice and helpful. I did not catch her name, but her recommendation for adding avocado to my crab cake Benedict was spot on. I definitely had low expectations for the crab cake Benedict because it's a breakfast spot and usually the crab cake isn't the best on the menu. But wow was I wrong. The crab was so good! Some crab cakes I've had are all breadcrumbs, not this one. This was a legitimate crab cake, crab in every bite. And it tasted really good too, seasoned nicely and not fishy at all. Easily just skyrocketed to my number one favorite breakfast dish at a breakfast restaurant. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. So tender as well. Highly recommend adding mushrooms and caramelized onions as well (I will definitely get like that every time). We also split a churro waffle (it was a special that day, I'm not sure if they still have), but it was also fantastic. It had caramelized bananas and churros on top. I couldn't finish. Took it home and it was still super good. I highly highly recommend. Make sure to try the crab cake Benedict and add avocado!!! read more

We went in at 10 am on a Thursday morning. A couple walked in a half second before we did. They were immediately greeted and someone took their drink order they got their first and second drinks before anyone ever greeted us. Our orders were taken about 3 mins apart, yet they are more than halfway finished with their meals before we got our food. Our server (Madison) never checked on us but, honestly, it wasn't needed. Whoever is working the grill is amazing! I asked for over medium eggs and they were perfectly cooked. No trace of runny whites and the yolk was still runny. Absolute perfection. I ordered the steak medium rare and it came medium rare. Usually with smaller cuts of meat, I order medium rare and I get medium well. Not here. The pico is wonderfully fresh and limey. The beans are flavorful as is the steak. I was beyond delighted that the plate came with corn tortillas instead of flour which seems to be the typical offering in New England. The habanero benny was the perfect combo of sweet and heat. Not too spicy, but tons of flavor. We ordered the sauce on the side in case it was too hot, but it was perfect. Could've used more hollandaise, but no complaints overall. I wish I had more room in my stomach to eat other offerings (the seasonal French toast looks like it would make amazing dessert). If I'm back in RI, I'll definitely come back for breakfast. Hopefully the service will be more attentive in the future (the couple who walked in with us finished their meal and were gone a good 15 mins before anyone brought us our check). read more

While visiting an old friend in Rhode Island, she brought me to The Rhody Hen Café for breakfast one morning. The space itself is quite small, but we managed to get one of the last available tables. It is very quaint and welcoming. I decided to order the eggs and hash while my friend ordered the breakfast Cubano. The eggs and hash was quite tasty and not overly salty like most hashes are. The chicken was juicy and crisp, while the habanero sauce was sweet and had a little kick to it (think of a homemade sweet chili sauce). The potatoes were also very flavorful and crispy. They're only 4 stars for me b/c I saw them pour their OJ from a commercial OJ brand cartoon when their OJ is claimed to be freshly squeezed. That was a bit disappointing of an otherwise fantastic food experience. We finished the brunch with some pumpkin pancakes which had the perfect blend of cinnamon and pumpkin puree. I went to The Rhody Hen Cafe located in Pawtucket, RI for the first time. There are also locations in East Providence and North Providence. Since their first location was in Pawtucket, I went to that location. The decor is rustic and nice. There are tables inside and outside as well. The outside seating has a carpet on the floor and comfy furniture. The parking lot is not too large and we had to wait for a car to leave. I put my name down and waited about 15 minutes till I got a text saying that our table was ready. We ordered orange juice, cider mimosa, hot kiss omelet, and rhody hen omelet. I had the rhody hen omelet that had chicken sausage, caramelized onions, mushrooms, baby spinach and swiss cheese served with toast and home fries. It was a good portion, tasty, and very filling. I noticed a quick turnover of tables. Since speaking with the hostess to put my name down for a table to paying for the bill, the service was friendly and wonderful. I can tell this is a neighborhood gem and have a lot of regulars. read more

In the top 4 breakfast places in RI, we like this one most compared to other locations, but this one seems busier. Get an order of awesome pancakes for something sweet. Then either huevos rancheros or the breakfast tacos - you cannot go wrong. We love the flavors. The workers are always buzzing around. And the food is made with love - sit at the counter one day and watch. I give them 5 stars but my only gripe is the syrup. I get there's an up-charge for premium syrup - if it was free, people would use too much. But every time I hear "do you want the real stuff" or the good stuff....I cringe and think "no I'll take the bad stuff :) and help myself! read more

If you like a quiet meal, don't sit by the door on a "nice" day because the front door has a bell that dings every time someone walks through it, it's maddening...also call before you go to make sure they haven't run out of one of their staples like fresh squeezed OJ honestly for what they charge for a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, if they run out of it, then the store-bought orange juice should've been on the house. I was so disappointed after that because I had bragged and bragged to my friend about how delicious their FSOJ is! Most frustrating was being sat by the toilet, only to have a party of two placed at the 4 top right next to us when I had just asked to sit there and been told no they were saving it for a three or four person party. Loved the Rhody hen. Everything about the this place is great. The food was delicious. I ordered a meal off the specials called something like lobster Benedict grilled cheese. It was soooo good. Eggs perfectly cooked. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes and they didn't disappoint. I usually only eat a portion of potatoes when given them as a breakfast side, but not these. I legit licked the plate clean. I don't remember what my sister ordered, but she loved her meal as well. Besides the good food, the service was amazing as well.
