Rhody Hen is a super awesome place. I love to get breakfast at when I am in the 401. I went with a friend of mine cause I was staying over at his house and he lives right around the corner. The service is good. The restaurant is usually busy as it is a very popular spot. The food is good. The service is friendly overall a great experience typical diner vibes. Very small intimate space. One of the better breakfast spots in Pawtucket.

Great breakfast spot, and very reasonably priced. I loved the healthy breakfast omelet as it was loaded with spinach, feta, and mushrooms. The fruit was fresh and sweet; coffee was great too. If the day is nice, definitely sit outside.

We went in at 10 am on a Thursday morning. A couple walked in a half second before we did. They were immediately greeted and someone took their drink order they got their first and second drinks before anyone ever greeted us. Our orders were taken about 3 mins apart, yet they are more than halfway finished with their meals before we got our food. Our server (Madison) never checked on us but, honestly, it wasn't needed. Whoever is working the grill is amazing! I asked for over medium eggs and they were perfectly cooked. No trace of runny whites and the yolk was still runny. Absolute perfection. I ordered the steak medium rare and it came medium rare. Usually with smaller cuts of meat, I order medium rare and I get medium well. Not here. The pico is wonderfully fresh and limey. The beans are flavorful as is the steak. I was beyond delighted that the plate came with corn tortillas instead of flour which seems to be the typical offering in New England. The habanero benny was the perfect combo of sweet and heat. Not too spicy, but tons of flavor. We ordered the sauce on the side in case it was too hot, but it was perfect. Could've used more hollandaise, but no complaints overall. I wish I had more room in my stomach to eat other offerings (the seasonal French toast looks like it would make amazing dessert). If I'm back in RI, I'll definitely come back for breakfast. Hopefully the service will be more attentive in the future (the couple who walked in with us finished their meal and were gone a good 15 mins before anyone brought us our check).

My favorite brunch place in RI! I would come here all the time when I lived in Pawtucket -- it is such a treat every time. I order something different every time and there hasn't been a dish I dislike. Parking is limited, but you can find street parking in the area. The wait is long on the weekends, I've waited anywhere between 20-45 minutes but I think it's worth the wait every time!! The place is small but cozy, I have been to their other locations where the interior is larger but I find the Pawtucket location to be my favorite when it comes to the food and ambiance :)

Went on a solo breakfast adventure after work. This is a small but cozy breakfast spot. Luckily, it wasn't busy, and I was told to seat myself. A kind waitress took my drink order and brought it over while I washed my hands in their well-kept bathroom. When I returned, my coffee and water were already waiting for me. After adding creamer, the waitress came back to take my order: two chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and crispy bacon. The pancakes were warm and fluffy, with a generous pile of whipped cream on top. The bacon was thick-cut and cooked perfectly. I left that plate empty. I asked for a coffee refill -- it was the perfect temperature and blend. I paid my bill and sat for a while, enjoying the early afternoon and slowly sipping my coffee. Can't wait to be back.

The Rhody Hen is a solid choice for a hearty standard American breakfast. Service is prompt and friendly, and despite the small footprint of the restaurant, they are able to squeeze in a decent number of tables. I enjoyed The Rhody Hen omelette, with sweet caramelized onions, mushrooms, chicken sausage, spinach and Swiss cheese. The red skin breakfast potatoes were well cooked and seasoned, and they offer plenty of toast options, including my favorite (rye bread)! Their coffee is from local Downeast Coffee Roasters, and the servers make sure you're consistently topped off.

Easily the best breakfast food I've ever had. The place was busy but that didn't prevent the staff from being attentive. I highly recommend eating here!

Coming back to Rhode Island just to come back here. Are you kidding me? What a gem this place is. I love the cozy environment but it's no where near simple when it comes to their offerings and rotation of the menu and seasonal drinks. I was thoroughly impressed by the service and QUALITY of the food. Our server was kind and attentive and we took our time enjoying every single bite. The pumpkin pancake has to be the best pancake I've ever had and that's by no exaggeration. Definitely make the stop here if you're in the area and you won't regret it.

Seriously, New Year's resolution to get fit? I vote for get fluffy it's gonna be a cold winter we all need that extra layer of fluff for insulation! This month's specials are seriously fantastic! My tastebuds are so happy! Did an eye roll over the first bite of the cinnamon swirl French toast....didnt think I needed it but the Vermont maple syrup soooooo good. I've become addicted to their bloody Mary's....they offer a variety of types and I highly recommend you try each of them (it requires multiple visits which is a huge plus!) my fav is the tequila Bloody Mary....there's just something about it. Hey if you've decided to go for the New Year's resolution of fit, you need a reward.....this is a great option!

Crab cake Benedict with avocado and grilled steak tip Benedict with caramelized onions and mushrooms
    Taylor S.

We went here a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to post this review. Service was 10/10. She was really nice and helpful. I did not catch her name, but her recommendation for adding avocado to my crab cake Benedict was spot on. I definitely had low expectations for the crab cake Benedict because it's a breakfast spot and usually the crab cake isn't the best on the menu. But wow was I wrong. The crab was so good! Some crab cakes I've had are all breadcrumbs, not this one. This was a legitimate crab cake, crab in every bite. And it tasted really good too, seasoned nicely and not fishy at all. Easily just skyrocketed to my number one favorite breakfast dish at a breakfast restaurant. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. So tender as well. Highly recommend adding mushrooms and caramelized onions as well (I will definitely get like that every time). We also split a churro waffle (it was a special that day, I'm not sure if they still have), but it was also fantastic. It had caramelized bananas and churros on top. I couldn't finish. Took it home and it was still super good. I highly highly recommend. Make sure to try the crab cake Benedict and add avocado!!!

This place makes good omelettes. I really enjoy the Hot Kiss Omelet, which comes with chorizo, onions, peppers, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, and is topped with pico de gallo and fresh avocado.

Loved the atmosphere and the place was spotless. One of the waitresses seated us asked us if we'd like a drink and pickles with coleslaw. We said yes pickles were great. Coleslaw was very vinegary. Was not a fan of that. We both ordered half a pound of pastrami sandwiches with Swiss cheese and mustard. The pastrami was very lean and sliced very thin and that was good. But I found the pastrami lacking in flavor. I think I was expecting pastrami like they sell at Katz's deli or the old now closed Carnegie's in New York. Would come back to try other things.

Although the parking lot was busy, there were still plenty of tables available inside. There is a larger dining area in the back, but we stayed in one of the booths in the area where you first walk in. It gives old school diner vibes with the red stools, yellow/tan booths, aluminum accents, and small tile floor. The menu is comprehensive as it offers breakfast and lunch, and both sweet and savory options. My friend and I both ordered the steak and eggs ($16.99 each) but I ordered my steak medium (anticipating for it to be cooked a little heavier than medium), with scrambled eggs and cheese on top, with a grilled English muffin. The food came out after about 10-15 minutes. They did have about 4 options of hot sauces we could choose from including Frank's, Tabasco, Cholula, and Sriracha - but the only right answer is Sriracha followed by Cholula. The steak was tasty and cooked exactly how I wanted it to, with a gentle sear. The home fries were delicious as they were soft, but also had bits of fried onions to enhance the flavor. The English muffin was golden, crispy, and slightly buttery. The eggs were very fluffy and the white cheese was completely melted into them which was great. The service was good, where we got everything in a timely manner, but we didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed with questions regarding our experience.

Chorizo/chourico is a staple in RI, thanks to Portuguese immigrants. It seems a little hard to find in upstate NY, where I currently live. Having lived in RI for over 20 years, it was satisfying both as current sustenance as well as a taste memory. It was also a very generous serving. I took the rest of it in a to-go container because I'm frugal/cheap like that. The atmosphere in the place is great. They have a huge selection of flavors, and every time we go in I end up standing there longer than I planned because there are so many tempting choices. It's the kind of problem every ice cream shop should have. The ice cream itself is outstanding. It's fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling overly heavy. Every flavor we've tried has been excellent, and it's easy to see why this place has developed such a loyal following. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream on the East Side. Just be prepared to wait if you're stopping by on a nice evening. The shop is fairly small inside, and it's not uncommon for the line to stretch right out the front door. Thankfully, the staff keeps things moving, and the wait has always been worth it. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ice cream and the generous portions. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it's mostly street parking, although there are a handful of spaces behind the building. Somehow we've been lucky the last few visits and managed to grab a spot right out front, even when there was a long line. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the small space and limited parking can make visiting during peak hours a little less convenient. Once you have your ice cream, though, it's hard to complain. If you're looking for fantastic homemade ice cream in Providence, Three Sisters absolutely deserves a visit.
