This is the first time I've been here because a friend of mine recommended it for breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with white toast and home fries. The food was excellent. Everything came out hot and done right. The portions were a good size. I must say that even though the place was packed, the service was very good. They were very attentive. They made sure that we had our coffee cups filled in that we had everything needed. The atmosphere was decent, it was a typical breakfast place, but it was bigger inside than I thought, and the booths were comfortable. Everything was also clean. We had the early bird special, and it was only 6.95 for the breakfast itself. I'll definitely be back!

Maria's has become a Sunday staple . We've been going to Maria's since they were located in Pawtucket . Despite being busy on a regular basis they have amazing service. The food always comes out hot and fresh . The waitresses are always polite and offer coffee constantly . My usual go to is Order C with scrambled eggs and wheat toast . I've also gotten a sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel before which is delicious. I would even recommend the pesto chicken panini with fries. I will always come back to Maria's for an amazing breakfast . Any seat is a great seat from the bar stools , to the tables, to the booths .

Maria's breakfast is a classic breakfast in Pawtucket. They moved location but it was only down the street, less than one minute away. As always, it had a long wait time and was very busy. Our wait time for a table of 4 was 20 minutes. The wait time for our food to come out was also considerably long. I ordered a combo meal C with no toast. It was average and simple. The restaurant is clean and new~ still has the remodeling new look~ all staff are trying their best given that there is always lots of people, many orders, and long wait times. The waiting area is small, and many times, you do have to be outside waiting.

Lots of seating and I like the music that they play. You can definitely tell that this is a Latin inspired restaurant. Our waiter came over and he was pleasant as well. He was also the bartender but did well making sure all of his tables were taken care of along with the bar. I ordered a Coke and the crab cake Benedict. The significant other had the tea and chilaquiles. I really enjoyed my benefit. The chipotle hollandaise was slightly spicy but not overwhelming. Eggs were poached well, the crab cake was tasty, and the home fries were nice and crispy. No real complaints there! The chilaquiles were smaller than I thought they'd be but the significant other said he liked them. So, why 4 stars? I've been here before and while it's good some dishes don't blow me away. It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

When trying out a new restaurant, we have little to no expectations but we go with an empty stomach & open mind. I had to look up Manville in Google maps - it's half way between Cumberland & Woonsocket. The restaurant is an unassuming storefront on a mostly residential street. We walked in & were greeted warmly. The restaurant was hopping on a late Saturday morning, so we took the two open seats at the counter. Your Mother's Favorite is truly a family affair. Dad is in the kitchen with an uncle & a son, mom is running the front of house with another son & some other relatives. We learned that this restaurant is an offshoot of their Sunnyside on the Street food truck. They offered any 1/2 lb brisket/chuck blend burger on a brioche bun for the RI Food Fights coupons. Upon recommendation of the son who was serving us at the counter, I went with their best seller: The Mother In Law - caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, house made sauce. It was SOOOO good! The burger was perfectly cooked with a ton of delicious caramelized onions & ooey gooey melted cheese holding it all together. Hubby opted for The Hot Mom - pepper jack cheese, red onion & house-made mango habanero sauce. He will order anything that will give his taste buds a kick... & this definitely kicked! For me, the sauce was too hot. For hubby, it was definitely HOT but he couldn't get enough! I've never seen a man eat a burger that fast! LOL Hubby was so excited about the mango habanero sauce that the dad/owner came out of the kitchen to discuss creating it. He also provided us with a small container to bring home to enjoy & shared the recipe. I was in the mood for something a little sweet & ordered one slice of the French toast. It was delicious. They also do a deep fried French toast which is something I will order the next time. We got into a nice conversation with the table next to the counter. The couple were fans of the family's original food truck & are repeat customers of Your Mother's Favorite. They were also fans of RI Food Fights - especially the January #LordOfTheWings. We concur! We ogled the other delicious breakfast dishes being delivered to customers. Hubby wants to try both the Huevos Rancheros & the Biscuits with Gravy. Their pancakes are supposed to be out of this world but I will be hard pressed not to order The Mother In Law again! Even though it was very busy, the family made time to chat with us & answer questions about the restaurant & menu. We loved everything about Your Mother's Favorite & can't wait for a return visit!
