Marias staff is very kind and efficient. Only reason why I'm giving three stars is because of the pricing. I ordered a small apple juice for $2 and the 2egg combination for $10.50 with home fries, bacon, and toast- but I wanted to substitute French toast instead of regular toast. Normally you get two pieces of regular toast, but for the substitution you get Only one piece of French toast. When I got the bill, I was charged for a large apple juice ($4) and an extra $3 for 1 piece french toast instead of 2piece of regular toast. When I expected my bill to be $13 plus tip, it turned out to be $20 plus tip... obviously I'm not going to say anything, but I probably won't be back here. read more

We have been back to Maria's countless times, but this time I tried something new, a sweet breakfast! The waffle was huge & delicious, it does come with a lot of whipped cream. If you have never tried a grilled muffin, try it at Maria's! The only downside to this experience has been the iced coffee, as my friends and I have tried it a few times but it tastes burnt. This is the first time I've been here because a friend of mine recommended it for breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with white toast and home fries. The food was excellent. Everything came out hot and done right. The portions were a good size. I must say that even though the place was packed, the service was very good. They were very attentive. They made sure that we had our coffee cups filled in that we had everything needed. The atmosphere was decent, it was a typical breakfast place, but it was bigger inside than I thought, and the booths were comfortable. Everything was also clean. Maria's has become a Sunday staple . We've been going to Maria's since they were located in Pawtucket . Despite being busy on a regular basis they have amazing service. The food always comes out hot and fresh . The waitresses are always polite and offer coffee constantly . My usual go to is Order C with scrambled eggs and wheat toast . I've also gotten a sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel before which is delicious. I would even recommend the pesto chicken panini with fries. I will always come back to Maria's for an amazing breakfast . Any seat is a great seat from the bar stools , to the tables, to the booths . read more

Maria's breakfast is a classic breakfast in Pawtucket. They moved location but it was only down the street, less than one minute away. As always, it had a long wait time and was very busy. Our wait time for a table of 4 was 20 minutes. The wait time for our food to come out was also considerably long. I ordered a combo meal C with no toast. It was average and simple. The restaurant is clean and new~ still has the remodeling new look~ all staff are trying their best given that there is always lots of people, many orders, and long wait times. Before you go here just know they add automatic gratuity and they have a surcharge if you use your CC. I'm putting that out that because I personally don't like places that do that and I didn't do my research before going to this spot for the first time. ALSO just for reference (not sure if the tip is added because of the size of the party) it was a total of 6 of us BUT we split the bill in two - me & my mom on one and my sister with her family on the other. The service was good, our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered two mango margs, they tasted like cough medicine so I sent them back, she handled the issue flawlessly. We got the ego martinis as a replacement. The martinis were good, sweet and thick. The place itself was cute and warm but the food was kind of bland. I got the steak bomb Hollandaise special, priced at about $21. The shaved steak was dry and flavorless, the eggs cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was tasteless. It looked good presentation wise but my tastebuds were getting nothing. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and this place did not meet the mark for me. read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. The restaurant is a good size. There are booths, bar seats, and high tables. Occasionally there is a bit of a wait but it moves pretty quickly. I also got sourdough toast, and it wasn't my favorite, and tasted like sourdough but has the texture of a white bread. The service was great, and the waitress we had was funny and personable. I should have known how packed diners would be on a Sunday around brunch time. Modern Diner was our first option but unfortunately, it was way too crowded. There was a line of about three parties out the door, and we really didn't want to wait. A quick Yelp search led us to Maria's, which was also quite busy, but we ended up getting a seat within ten minutes. They have a convenient, spacious parking lot on the corner of Smithfield and Chandler, right next to the diner. The servers are ridiculously efficient and so, so nice. I saw one woman who was taking an order on the phone while simultaneously weaving through the counter/kitchen space and serving other customers. A true hero! I could have easily gotten a filling breakfast for $5-$6, but I decided to go big or go home, and ordered the lumberjack special. A heaping portion of home fries, 2 eggs cooked how you like them, bacon & sausage, toast, AND 2 pancakes for $12? Amazing. My favorite part of the meal was probably the crunchy, salty home fries and the crispy pancakes drenched in butter and powdered sugar. It was bustling inside, and after visiting, I now know why. Maria's is an awesome breakfast place with a variety of options, great prices, and some of the best service I've ever had. Last-minute things to remember: 1) They are cash only. 2) Don't be afraid to squeeze into the entrance and let one of the waitresses know that you're here waiting to be seated. Not Like The Old Maria's. Was not impressed. First of all the prices for breakfast are pretty expensive. The home fries looked and tasted like they were frozen and the eggs were very small . My first time there I ordered the special which was two eggs, home fries, toast, and was not impressed. I also had a hot coffee that was sitting around while, or it was a cheap brand of coffee.
