I'm allergic to cheese and I asked for cheese not to be on my sandwich and they still added it and my bread on my sandwich was really burnt

Nice brunch spot for the COVID-19 era! I have eaten inside (good spacing and staff are all wearing masks) as well as outside in their patio. Omelets are yummy! And the food comes out very quickly. Reasonable prices and prompt service. Also, there's ample parking (which you can't always count on when getting brunch on the weekend). My friends and I really like this place!

Forgot my syrup but this is 10/10 amazing

Well I've been 3 times now so I think I can give a little review. They have a decent sized restaurant in a little strip mall with very limited parking. 5 or 6 cars in front and the rest where they fit. We walked in this morning and the whole diner smelled like pot smoke. Wow! We sat down, and the two guys next to us absolutely reeked of smoke. They were laughing and snorting and waiting for breakfast. Ah, the morning entertainment. I have had breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable. Portions are average. Service is good. Waitresses are friendly. I have seen them and kitchen staff out talking with the customers. Eggs, home fries, toast, a cheese omlette, turkey club, hamburger... everything average, reasonably priced. Not uber impressed, but I would certainly add them to the breakfast rotation.

He genuinely cares about his restaurant and the people he serves. A lot of owners would get defensive over something as minor as "the home fries weren't well done enough," but not Ari. We've been to Hamilton Diner many times and the food is consistently delicious. On this visit, our home fries weren't quite as crispy as we'd asked for. It was a small thing that honestly wouldn't have affected our rating at all -- we know how busy things can get. What impressed me most was Ari personally coming to our table to apologize and bringing out a fresh replacement. He didn't have to do that, but he did - and that's exactly why we'll keep coming back. Thank you, Ari, for your compassion, your humbleness, and the pride you take in your restaurant. You and your team are doing it right. Also sorry for the lack of photos, we dug right into our dishes. When we're craving something a little more thoughtful than the standard eggs-and-toast routine, this is where we land. The menu is creative without being over the top, the flavors are usually dialed in, and it consistently feels like brunch with intention. This last visit, however, turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. We sat at the bar around 1pm, which is our usual move. The service was great. We were welcomed right away and had drinks in front of us in no time. I ordered a draft Blue Moon and my partner went with a glass of wine. Both were cold, fresh, and exactly what they should be. We started with the lemon ricotta donuts. These were delightful. The texture was spot on, tender and light thanks to the ricotta, with that perfect sugar coating. I would have loved a slightly more assertive lemon flavor in the dough itself, but they smartly included thinly sliced lemon rind on top so you could dial it up yourself. A thoughtful touch and a really nice way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the avocado toast for her main and it was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The sourdough had a great chew and structure, the avocado was well seasoned, and the sprinkle of cotija brought just the right salty pop. Bright tomatoes, pickled onions, microgreens, everything worked together. This dish absolutely delivered. I went with the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it missed the mark in a few areas. First, the poached eggs. The whites were a bit loose in spots and the yolks were slightly overdone. I know poaching can be tricky, it took me a while to master at home, but it was surprising to see the interior more cooked than expected while parts of the white still lacked structure. It was manageable, just not what I've come to expect here. Next was the mustard hollandaise. I was really looking forward to that punch of mustard, especially since I've had it shine before, but this time it felt muted. It was also looser than I prefer in a hollandaise. I love a good hollandaise, even better a béarnaise, and this one just didn't have the richness or body I was hoping for. Then there was the tomato. I understand we're not in peak tomato season, but even so, I can usually find more flavorful options at local markets and grocery stores. It appeared to be a standard beefsteak, and it just didn't bring much to the plate. A Campari or another variety with more natural sweetness and acidity would have elevated the dish and complemented the nicely cooked, flavorful spinach far better. On a positive note, the bolo was excellent. Such a great choice over the traditional English muffin and a perfect fit for a local spot like this. It had great texture and the slight sweetness usually balances the mustard hollandaise perfectly. Overall, Avenue N remains a place we truly enjoy. This visit just didn't quite live up to what we know they're capable of. I'm confident it was an off day, and we'll absolutely be back.

We both ordered the Classic Smash Burger, one with cheese and one without. Unfortunately, both burgers were utterly tasteless, with virtually no seasoning detected at all. The Chomp Sauce that was supposed to elevate the burger was so sparse it barely made an appearance, leaving the burgers bland. Honestly, the bun was the best part. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We may have caught them on an unusually busy night, but unfortunately our meals fell far short of our expectations.

Otherwise it's free, on-street parking in the surrounding neighborhood or main road. The 'pull' door (not automatic) is at ground level and once in the vestibule, there is a ramp up into the restaurant and steps up into the bar area. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Two dining rooms have wooden tables and chairs, mostly in a four-top size. The bar area has a high, vaulted ceiling and the two ceiling fans are a large baseball in a glove. Cute. Walls are real wood paneled on the bottom 2/3 and painted cream at the top 1/3 with dark wood floors. Everything looked nice and clean and cozy. High-tops in the bar area each had bag hooks under the table top which I love. Our waitress was the bartender. The bar was about half full and there were maybe two other tables in the restaurant. She brought over place mats, flatware and menu's and took our drink order. The menu is large and includes sandwiches, burgers, steaks, apps, soups and salads, plus. It's pretty big. We had a good amount of time to review all the menu options, plus the 'specials' menu she left with us. We both chose steak based entrées. A table top sign lists some seasonal adult beverages available and the menu includes other bar selections. Food was brought out by a kitchen employee. I think it may have been the cook/chef. It took a while for the food to come out of the kitchen and I suspect it's bare bones staff during the week. They were very friendly and asked if we needed anything else. The waitress also stopped by after several minutes to check in with us. The steak was tender however those knives need to be replaced. Because it was hard to cut, I thought the steak would be 'tough', but it was very nice. The fries are excellent. I did enjoy those. Mashed potatoes appear to be 'real' (not reconstituted flakes). My steak was a bit undercooked but I only ate about half. I concentrated on cutting the outer bits which left the center a perfect temp for reheating at home. It heated up quite well and was still tender. So in the end, it worked in my favor. Although I'm not sure how they fry the egg on top of the Portuguese steak, it was fluffy and had a nice soft yolk. (I could have sent the steak back to be re-fired if I was unhappy, but knew I'd probably not eat it all, so again, it worked in my favor) Gendered restrooms are off the bar area. Ladies has two small stalls with no gaps at the edges. Thumbs up for that. Men's room has a stall and a urinal (I asked, didn't look). Not sure about another comment on here regarding 'no lock' on the men's room. The stall has a lock. If you need privacy, use that. Each restroom is too small for a changing table. I asked about the parking situation as the lot is not big enough to accommodate all the tables and after talking about on-street parking options was told on the weekends (Friday - Sunday) it's a full house. So do plan some time to find parking. I'm not sure they take reservations though and the vestibule has only one seat that I noticed for waiting. Food quality is good. Service is friendly. Full bar. Big menu. Clean restrooms. Only the parking situation is possibly problematic and that's really a state of mind. Desfrute da sua refeição!

When I walked in, the bartendress was very nice and helpful. She refilled my water bottle, talked through beers, and changed the TV to the bowl game I requested, despite a lot of back and forth on New Year's Eve. While I was at the bar I looked over at the guy next to me and his steak was amazingly perfectly pink throughout. People around me sounded very happy with the size and flavor of their drinks, but as far as beer goes there is a limited tap, all on the lighter side despite 15-16 openings. So the bar is great. Stay at the bar. Finally my friend arrived and we went for a table. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. First, I discovered that the only restrooms in the building are tiny, meant for one person but not a locking door. I ordered clam chowdah, cod fish cakes, and the obligatory stuffie, all at the same time (same for my friend, no appetizer). All in all, it took nearly an hour for the chowder to come out, and the place was far from packed, with a few but not overwhelmingly many to-go orders. Finally, the chowder came out. Waiting, waiting, tasted... another 5-10 minutes before the other food started trickling so I could finally eat while my friend did the same. Chowder: 2.5 stars. It looked thick and creamy, but it was overwhelmingly potato. I was hunting and there are a few clams, but it's not even soup. It's potato. Just too much. Cod fish cakes: 2.5 stars. Way too much breading. I tried and could not actually taste any fish. I'm sure it's in there somewhere, but minced to smithereens so you can't tell. Stuffie: 3 stars. Another place where it's mostly breading, but at least my notes say "decent amount" instead of "where's the clam?". My friend: He loved the chicken half of the chicken parm, said it was cooked perfectly, but left the noodles. Generic noodles, the sauce he said didn't taste store-bought but the tomatoes were definitely canned. And the kicker? They never brought us napkins. Verdict: A low 3 stars overall, and that's mainly for the bar side of things. Stick to drinks.
