I seriously believe that a driver is taking advantage of my elderly mother. I believe he over charges her every time and not by 20 or 30 dollars, im talking 50 to 100. Plus I dont believe he is reporting her rides simply because the amounts he charges her makes no sense. When my Dad, her husband, passed he had a huge collection of colognes the she gave him and he should not have accepted it. I dont know what to do. read more

This was the perfect cab experience. Communication was prompt. The driver was at my home right on time and texted me. He took the best route, and drove quickly and competently. He was courteous and smiling, but there was no small talk, which I appreciated. He made me feel comfortable and safe. It was a short trip, but he did not complain or remark on that. Please note that I called the main number and at first got a recording, then was contacted after I hung up; perhaps dispatch is automated now. I'm sad to have to report this. I've had good experiences with most of my trips with this company. However. After having a very impatient driver (Leslie) pick me up and speak to me horrible. I needed to warn others of her ability to be downright evil. I tried using the service again.. but requested NOT Leslie. She was dispatched anyhow. I called back and re-informed of my request. Leslie decided to text me personally at this point. Telling me I DESERVED to be homeless, sick and alone. I was beyond shocked. Besides being ENTIRELY unprofessional. Unnecessary. This was just cruel. So beware. Such disgusting behavior shouldn't be allowed. Not sure where "Gordon" came from. But yes.. she deserved what I called her after I've specifically requested her services. And tipped more than I could afford. read more

I just got scammed by an Amanda's taxi driver. I live 2.6 miles from the point where I was picked up and I had already checked online for current drop fees ($3.50) and cost per 1/10 mile (25 cents), and minimum charges ($10), so I had a pretty good idea what the cost would be (roughly $10). I even verified with the driver that those were his costs, so I was very disappointed when I arrived at my destination and he charged me $15. I WILL NEVER USE AN AMANDA'S TAXI AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND THAT CUSTOMER STAY CLEAR OF THIS TAXI COMPANY UNLESS THEY WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AS WELL. read more

I tried to get service Sat AM, but no answer after two tries. Then police called and got an immediate response for me and prompt arrival. I have tried to call five times tonight and no answer again. Also, website embedded message and booking formats are not functioning, and emails sent to the info and booking email addresses bounce back saying the addresses don't exist. read more

Do not use this company. I called, explained we need taxi to and from Elsinore Theatre and that both passengers were disabled. "Brian" said he would tell "Carla" the night manager who would call me at 6:15 p.m. to confirm. No call so I called and Carla told me no one had told her anything but they could squeeze us in. Very nice driver, clean car and got us to our concert. I asked him about a return trip at 9 p.m. and he said call Carla when we needed a ride. I dud and was told by Carla that since we didn't get a reservation from driver nobody could drive us home. So here we were, both post op from hip and back surgeries, stranded...can't decide if they lied are are incompetent but cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

The Willamette University Debate Union travels domestically and internationally on a fairly consistent basis, and we don't trust anyone else to get us to the Portland airport and back. Regardless of if we are traveling in a group of 2 or 10+, Amanda's Taxi is always on time and ready to go with water bottles for everyone. Amanda's Taxi is the BEST way to travel to Portland Airport... or anywhere! First of all they have the best prices of anyone. I was so pleased to hear the cost of a round-trip ride from Portland international to Salem. Secondly, their customer service is fantastic and something you just do not see anymore. My 84-year-old mom was flying into the airport alone and uses a wheelchair in the airport. I was very concerned with her traveling by herself. (I had been with her for most of our West Coast trip) but spoke to Brian at Amanda's and he assured me that my mom would be looked after very well. Once she arrived at the airport from Seattle, the wheelchair people took her to the incorrect location for pick up. I tried calling her cell phone a couple of times but she had it off. Brian, the driver From Amanda's taxi, went out of his way to locate my mother when other cab companies would have just left. He is so caring and really took care of my mom and she loved him. He even called me in NY on my cell phone to let me know that he found her and delivered her to my aunts house safely. Then a week later he promptly picked her up to insure she arrived at the airport on time and got everything she needed for her flight back home to Florida. I cannot say enough about him or Amanda's taxi. My entire family will definitely use them whenever we fly to Portland and need transportation. We use Amanda's Taxi often from Willamette University in Salem to get to the airport and they are always amazing! Take our requests for multiple cars at all odd hours of the night, always have water and offer snacks sometimes, always super accommodating! Every driver I've had has been super personable and nice.
