Date of visit: December 26, 2025 I am considering a couple vehicles right now, one of them being the Mitsubishi Outlander. I scoped out a couple vehicles online and sent a message through their website at a time while they were closed. Within a day I received an email from a Dwayne, advising that he would look into my inquiry and "be in touch with you first thing in the morning after reviewing your inquiry," and asking me to schedule a visit online. I responded within a minute that I wouldn't be scheduling a visit without knowing if they had what I wanted in stock. I never received any follow up so I went out to the dealership myself and who was I greeted by, but Dwayne. He took my information and went inside to get the key, given the cold temperatures today, after confirming we had looked at all of the Outlanders on the sparse lot, we headed inside as well. While most dealerships look more or less the same, Amato Mitsubishi does not look like all the rest. It looks worse, much worse. The building is clearly in need of some maintenance, by far the nicest thing in the room besides the show cars was the Christmas tree. I did not see any desks or a suitable place to work (I like to stay at the dealership when I have maintenance performed, but there was no place I could get any work done--especially if the music and television was always as loud as it was during our visit), glaring red flags for me. Once we headed back outside, I then really noticed the condition of the parking lot, arguably worse than the interior of the dealership. Large pot holes dotted the asphalt and it really hit home how few cars they actually had to sell. Despite failing to keep his word via email, Dwayne was very nice and did not pressure me in any way, which I greatly appreciated. Between the test drive experience and the lack of other options in the area (what happens if they close, where would I get service?), the Mitsubishi Outlander is not for me. read more

Called to schedule an oil change. Was told I did not need an appointment and could just drive in. Arrived at the dealership and was told they only did drive up oil changes if they have time and they didn't have time today. I explained my phone call from that morning and the guy in the shop said it's not my problem that our receptionist said that, she works in the sales room not the service department, so she doesn't know what's going on out here, you're not the first person that's come here and gotten mad at me because I don't have enough staff on to take care of an extra oil change. I asked him if he would communicate to the office that drive up oil change is not recommended, and multiple people have been unaware of this and have wasted time and miles, and he said I'm not in charge of who answers the phone that's not my issue. read more

I purchased 4 vehicles from them the last 20 years. Now they have been bought out by Lynch. But would think the place in Glendale would be the same. I normally do my own maintenance but they talked me into the Pre-Paid maintenance plan because of their Warranty for Ever program. Not only did they strip out all my lug nuts while rotating my tires (using the wrong size socket) but I also found my oil filter leaking twice as it wasn't tightened all the way. They also over tightened the body cover stripping all the plastic screws as well. Granted, this was all done in their quick lube. Than when they were bought out by Lynch, they offered me $80 to cancel my pre paid maintenance when I had 4 oil changes and 8 tire rotations left totalling over $400, A mere fraction of what was really owed to me. Amato is a gigantic scam dealer they post vehicles that they don't even have just to get you in the door they post hours on the Internet. says 7 AM opening building is open but nobody is there I showed up with cash in hand to buy a vehicle that they didn't even have wasted an hour out of my day for their bull I am so sick of dealers like this wasting peoples time read more

Sold me a used car and did not disclose that the odometer has been rolled back and did not disclose the transmission needed $2000 repair, in fact they checked it ok on the inspection window sticker and put transmission stop slip additive in it to conceal its problems. read more

Couldn't give them less than 1 star so one star it is. After being there for more than 4 hours in December to get my car. Went back less than 2 days later cause there was a HORRIBLE smell in the trunk and when asked if they could clean it, the sales rep Sir Vicker John requested they use soap and water on an unknown substance in the trunk. FYI the trunk STILL has the smell in it. Then the check engine light came on and found out the car i have has an electrical issue (specifically asked about this issue since it is a Hyundai) and the sales manager stated since I went To an outside mechanic my warranty is voided BUT their garage charges a $200 deductible just to get your car looked at. Car still has the check engine light on FYI. And lastly, my car insurance completed about 2 weeks ago and Amato took it upon themselves to repossess my car on 6/26 and my new insurance starts tomorrow. There is a $400 repo fee PLUS my car note payment AND the company that towed it, doesn't open up on Friday's .... so that's my story; that's why I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. They're ill-mannered, unprofessional, lack communication and education. read more

Tom and Mike at Amato (Mazda) were amazing! They gave us an incredible price on our new Mazda 3 and didn't try to talk us into anything that we didn't want. It was a completely different car buying experience from other dealerships we've been to where you're pressured from the minute you walk in the door. Very stress-free and quick.
